Taqueria El Trompo - San Antonio - Photo album

SO and I ran the Rock and Roll marathon and were HUNGRY. This was the first place that Google suggested to her as she typed in tacos in her search bar. The gods were obviously watching and felt a bit benevolent for this place hit the spot. Got the street tacos (Campechanos) and they were delicious!!
We are not from SA and we were looking for a place to eat tacos and omg!!! This is the spot!!! Food is amazing!! Service was great!!! You will not regret coming here. 100% recommend it!!!!!
Great tasting carne guisada and cheese enchiladas. The fideo soup was a great appetizer. Better wall decor and patio seating would be nice - but that’s not a food factor.
This place was ranked for MSN Best Burrito that pointed me to the tiny, strip mall-based Taqueria El Trompo. I was starving when I showed up since I didn't eat breakfast and ordered what I heard was some of the best al pastor in town. I got the campechano burrito with pastor, diced carne asada, bean
We have been there a few times and every time we go, we enjoy the food. The last couple of times I've ordered the Asada Quesadilla plate. Very good! And big portion. Prices are very reasonable, too. The staff is very friendly.
Amazing! Authentic Mexican Food! The Barbacoa we had on this visit was some of the best we’ve had since moving to S. TX. The rice and beans hit the spot as well as the chips and salsa. I only wish the chips were homemade that would have been perfect. That being said the prices were good and the serv
Ordered a couple of pounds of barbacoa for the office and it was gone in minutes! Great tasting barbacoa! Will have to go there for lunch one day.
This place is legit! Can’t believe I haven’t been eating here all this time. It’s tucked away in a shopping center at Callaghan and Horizon Hill, just off of IH10. The tacos are on point. I had carnitas and Tripas. They were both amazing and the Tripas here is my new favorite in all of San Antonio.
Beef fajitas were good. Never had melted cheese with skillet order. Rice was ok and refried beans were ok as well. Flour tortillas were ok. Came in at slow time of day. Service was nice. Nothing to warrant a three or five star rating so if you’re looking for some mex in the Callaghan/10 area, El Tr
Simply put this food is Amazing. The small street tacos are way more food than it looks like. Everything is cook perfectly seasoned perfectly. Kid friendly environment, clean, and quick food. I will be back next time I'm in town this will be my first stop.
10/10 recommend! This is a small little spot, but the flavors are hugeeee! Service was good. The place was clean. I got the asada street tacos, I couldn’t finish them. Another friend had quesadillas.. she sad it was great.. my other friend had enchiladas, it was yummy for her as well! I definitely w
Wow! Stumbled across this place looking for some Trompo Tacos and man what a Gem! Not only they did not disappoint, they hit the spot man! 10 out of 10 would recommend if your looking for some legit Trompa Tacos!
This place has the best al pastor. It has strong flavor and it’s better than taquitos west avenue. The burger with al pastor is amazing. The hot dog completo has such great taste.
Taqueria el Trompo is a good little mexican spot. The menu is a bit more limited and diverse than most places in SA. They have roughly a dozen or so items including hot dogs, hamburgers, and the normal mexican food items. I ordered the parrilladas mix and my wife got the carne asada mini tacos. Both
