I got there at 9:45 pm they close at 10, and no I'm not that guy. I even asked if they were still open and serving and the polite lady said of course. Long story short, food was authentic, real and delicious. Served hot, fresh and the chips and salsa is the bomb. Some of Best salsa if ever had and I'm a very critical judge when it comes to hot salsa bc I have an award winner myself. 5 stars and excellent service!! Would recommend to my worse enemy

The staff is always friendly, and the food is always awesome. They also make the best barbacoa I've ever tasted - juicy and tasty without pouring grease like some places. This is our go-to when we don't feel like cooking.

Delicious and amazing service!! I haven't had good enchiladas like this in a long time. Their food is what you'd expect from San Antonio with fresh ingredients and suprisingly even their pancakes are fantastic!! Fluffy and sweet ; soo good!!!

I haven't stayed and eaten here, but my takeouts have been very good, for the most part. I like their pastor tortas, horchata, and tacos. The layout is spacious and what you'd expect to see decor wise, and the staff is very friendly. I like this place.

Food is always good here.. Pozole and Menudo are always on point, and the tortillas have a delicious buttery taste.. Waitresses are nice, but sometimes tend to forget your there and you wont see them again after they bring you your food.. Other than that no problems.. Always clean here

Best rice ive ever had in san antonio. No mexican restaurant has it better. Delicious enchiladas. Really Good tacos. Amazing sweet tea. They serve you queso with the chips. Highly recommend. 👌

Great inexpensive little restaurant. Chimichanga was delicious and the Chipotle shrimp had great flavor and spice. I really liked the thick traditional tortilla chips and homemade corn tortillas!

El Jalisco is an anomaly - great, affordable TexMex on the fringe of ‘toney’ Stone Oak! We’ve been going for years and never disappointed. Started out as a tiny place and doubled in size by taking over the adjoining suite. Added beer and wine to the mix within the last 1-2 years.<br/><br/>Give this local, non-chain eatery a shot. Staff was super friendly and very attentive, you can really see their teamwork, the food is delicious, not tex-mex at all. The food is as Authentic Mexican food as you can get in San Antonio, their rice is noticeable to be made fresh daily, great prices and great options to choose from, also evry plate in their daily specials is a must, LOVE the friday specials, come support this local restaurant and enjoy great food, good people and a relaxing atmosphere.

Fatty food. Stopped off here yesterday for a togo order, been a regular patron for over 6 years and today was the biggest disappointment , in my order for me and my husband was 2 barbacoa tacos I had to throw 1 out because it was all fat. I will never be going back there. They offered to refund the amount of the taco, but couldn't credit my card I would need to come in for the money, I told them keep it, I would just never go back and that I would just tell everyone I knew not to go there.

My favorite AND close to home. Been eating there regularly since they opened about 6 years ago. walked in because I wanted to support a small local business. Loved it immediately because of the great service, friendly and hardworking staff. after a few times I realized, damn this food is really good too. people from my office are always asking me to get the tacos for our gatherings because they are the best!
