Red Lobster

Saw all the marketing for the endless shrimp, so I wanted to try. The restaurant was pretty dead and took us a bit to get sat which lead to slow service for dinner. But the endless shrimp was worth the try and enjoyable for dinner. Coconut shrimp and the grilled shrimp were my favorites which had the most flavor. Everything else was just okay and somewhat tasteless. Mass produced shrimp scampi lacking flavor. If you’ve wanted to try it, I’d say try it. But it’s not something I would return for as it’s took a bit to get refills and the shrimp was just okay. As of October 2023 - endless shrimp is $25 per person.

Food was good - not great but good. Service was good not great. Slow time of day with only limited waitstaff. And there were a lot of people that came in - only 1 waitress. Not her fault. Eventually, she got some help and things got better. Also, just a change of experience with the box at the table. Probably just as much my fault for forgetting that you can pay with the box. I kept waiting for the bill.

I stopped by this location on a whim as I haven't been to a Red Lobster in years, and I am glad I did. I was blessed with an amazing server named Alicia who was super kind, really quick, and very knowledgeable about the menu. I was unsure what to get, and she had suggested the endless shrimp which was 10/10. The food was delicious and at a good price. I will be coming back to this location in the future I highly recommend it.

I found myself wondering what to eat and remembered Red Lobster isn't just a special occasion dinner spot. Their lunch prices are in keeping with any indoor dining establishment offering gourmet burgers. I opted for the All You Can Eat Cheddar Biscuits, Salad, and Clam Chowder lunch special for $9.99. This was ideal for today's wet cool Texas weather. Whether you choose the biscuits or crackers or add a little pepper, you will find the creamy clam chowder a welcomed comfort food. Alicia was a friendly and attentive staff member. She never left me looking for her. She timed my clam chowder to arrive just as I finished my salad to ensure it was served hot. She reassured me that my coffee order would be fresh and hot. Why? Because that is Red Lobster's standard. She's there every day except Saturday to offer a great smile and personality with skills that make tipping her a pleasure and not a moral dilemma. I will be stopping in more often myself.
