The food and atmosphere are GREAT! After the meal one may want to check out the helicopter rides. The chili beans and potato casserole are especially delicious. There are four barbecue sauces to choose from ... not that the meat needs it. I like the aviation decor! It is so appropriate for the restaurant's location at Stinson Field.

Happened to stop by Stinson Airfield (Airport) and discovered that there is a Big Bib Barbecue restaurant here right underneath the Control Tower. We bought two plates, the Chicken and the Baby Back Ribs all were cooked to perfection, with the meat being juice and tender; you add their in house barbeque sauce (4 flavors). All seats are inside because you are on the side of the plane parking, and helicopter tour landing. Great food that is reasonable with a truly wonderful view.

I came to the Big Bibs at Stinson AP on mission road so excited because the original location on Lanark is too far but still worth the drive because everything on the menu is DELISH!!
We originally ordered to to go but my kids were way too excited with the view of planes coming and going. The food and staff were amazing, the experience with the view was the cherry on top. I’m so happy another Big Bibs opened closer to my home.

Didn't even know this location existed but discovered and glad I did. Airplanes right outside your window as you eat great barbecue. Eaten the other location plenty of times and the food was consistent with the other location. Great time.

For now I will rate it a 4. Went with my coworkers and they got their food way before me. So I was the last one eating and so I took the rest to go. I ordered the catfish and I'd have to say it was really good. The quantity and quality was there for the price. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was good. You even have get a view of airport planes, taxiways and runway. I'd have to come back and try the rest of the menu for this was my first go.

This place was great. The brisket was awesome, though maybe a little over-smoked. The smoke spoke for the meat a little too much.
The sauces were a bit disappointing, but mixing a few made it better. The tangy and the spicy go well together.
The sides, though...I think the green beans were the best I have had at any dine-out establishment. The collard greens could use a bit more pepper, the chili beans were good as well.
The service was perfectly polite and friendly. Couldn't ask for a better cashier.
So far, this a solid second place for the best barbecue in the city...but it is making me question its placement. I will have to visit the first-place winner and reassess.

We are in town celebrating my best friend getting married and we went to the Stinson field location and had the best experience. Mrs. K was the sweetest lady and we wanted her to adopt us! We got AMAZING food and service. When we were leaving, Woody prayed over Brittany for a long, loving marriage. Seriously the best experience we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Every time we come back to SA we will eat here!

Went by for an outdoor movie. Got a brisket sandwich. It was pretty good. The sauce was delicious. The side of baked potato cassarol was so good. I highly recommend it. I could have used some beer to wash it all down with but other than that it was really nice. And watching the planes was cool also. I would recommend it for families.

This is a satellite of their award-winning barbecue on Austin Highway. Great brisket, sausage, and turkey, but I want them to bring the banana pudding as a dessert option like at the original place. It's awesome! Until then their delicious sweet potatoes will do. Great dining option in the area that I can see actually drawing people to Stinson who've never been. Stop by and give it a try before it gets too crowded, because it just opened.

Food was pretty good, the service was direct and quick. Was actually some of the best food we had in san antonio. It's a really good option if you are in the area checking out the missions and the park. Don't forget to read some of the history around the airport about its founding and importance- very interesting!

The place is busy at lunch! Make sure to get there early to make sure you have enough time to eat. Brisket sandwich was so good. Meat was tender and the bun perfect combo. And they have more than one sauce to choose from. Yum!

New location is a little hard to locate. It is actually inside the terminal at Stinson. We ordered catfish plates to go. Didn't seem as though the breading was the same. Had a different flavor. Unfortunately the fish was not allowed to cool before the box was closed up so all the crispy breading sloughed off the fish. That was disappointing. We like Big Bibs so will probably go again, the waitstaff was very friendly and helpful.

Very nice friendly staff. I missed the lunch time crowd so there was nobody in front or waiting behind me in line. The restaurant is very clean and cool. The meat is smoked very well and tender. If anything they could improve on the size of their portions on the side items.

Great food. It only has a fairly limited menu. That's why only four stars. We had pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. They were wonderful. It's great having them in this historic setting. Well done.

My husband and I have been to the location on Lanark. This was our first visit to newest location on Mission Rd. I love their turkey sandwich. My husband likes the brisket. I recommend the sweet potato casserole, potato salad and beans with chili. They're all amazing!!

We tried this for the 1st time and it is FANTASTIC! From the staff to the food all are welcoming. The brisket, ribs and sides all melt in your mouth. I'm not a big sauce guy but the tangy gold sauce just made the brisket even better. We will be back!
