We felt like having pizza for dinner and thought to check out @mariosofnewyorkcity Mario's Pizza and Wine Bar.
Dad had his Lemonade, and hubby and I had the Sangria. We ordered the Spaghetti with meat sauce for Dad. We also got Ham & Pineapple pizza and a Pepperoni pizza. House salad to share. It was lots of food and all delicious. Mary brought Gerry to visit our table.
@mariosofnewyorkcity is part of the San Antonio Gold Diner's Program, and with the spin a wheel, we got the pepperoni rolls for free. So yummy!

Great to see that it was busy for dinner! They've been in business for 7 years and at this location since the pandemic.
If you're considering dropping by you ABSOLUTELY need to! My husband and I just moved to the area and came across this place by chance and don't know what we'd do without this pizza going forward. Tonight the staff seemed a bit stretched thin, but we still got everything we needed in a timely manner. We started with the Homemade Meatball Sliders and they melted in your mouth. The textures and flavors were amazing. The crostinis were crispy and had integrity but were so light at the same time. The meatballs were tender and coated in the most flavorful marinara. My husband and I couldn't decide between the Capo and the Mario's White Pizza so we got both and will absolutely enjoy the leftovers. I'm not sure how in the world I'm supposed to try different places when Mario's is an automatic favorite. BRAVO!
11/08/23 was my first time eating here, pizza lovers, I found the hidden gem. This is perfect! The first bite, I busted! I can’t change my wording, this is the best pizza I ever had. I was hooked on mellow mushroom, thank you. Don’t change one bit! Ducking perfect
My lovely wife and I stopped by for dinner after running errands and visiting friends. Gerry and Mary are gracious hosts, they are both very attentive to your needs and they remember your drink of choice. The pizza is top notch, the kitchen staff is a well lubricated cooking machine, they don't miss a beat. I had the margherita pizza with calamata olives, excellent. Make the effort and drive the few short minutes for this wonderful establishment. You will not be disappointed.

We had one more hour of traveling so we stop to eat and what a great surprise. Yes cozy environment, good service and awesome food. We had Bonanza - Cabernet by Caymus. Really good!!! The pizza was excellent kind of New York crust. The Prosciutto pizza was a great choice. I will definitely stop here again. Sorry no pictures but what is available will give you a good idea of what Marios offers.
First time here, very friendly staff and the pizza was GREAT!!! Very nice ambience. We will definitely be visiting again soon!
Best pizza in town. This is family owned and amazing. True new York pizza, so rare to find and the dough is brought in from NYC, which is the secret as the water makes the dough. My daughter loves the spaghetti and meatball. My son loves the chicken parmesan. Salads and apps are great too.
Me and 8 other ladies went to Mario's Pizza and it was really nice! Service and Food 5stars!! Our Waitresses were Wonderful,Polite and right on time with our Orders and Drinks! Thank u🥰
My husband and I went to Mario's for the first time today and we will definitely be returning! We ordered the Mango Margarita and the Sangria which were sweet and tasty! We dined in, and were treated very well by our server - she even brought us waters with our alcoholic beverages without asking. The food was amazing as well - I ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza and my husband ordered the Penne with Sausage and Creamy ricotta - both tasted great. I've been so disappointed with other pizza joints in the North San Antonio area lately, that I am so grateful to have found this gem! Just come here, the food is amazing!
Great pizza! This is the closest to New Your Pizza we have had! If one has ever ate pizza at John's in New York one would know how good it is. Desserts awesome! Staff is friendly and the owners are wonderful friendly people. If you haven't been to this little hidden pizza place, please make the drive for a Friday night date! Good wine list to choose from, set relax and enjoy. Make a reservation or arrive early!
