The Winchester - San Antonio - Photo album

My stop at The Winchester is always unique but mostly satisfying. I enjoy people watching, but the ambiance is a bit more reserved than the Twin Peaks or 54th Street eateries. The wings are darn good, and their THICK cut bacon (which is in several of their menu items) holds its own quite well again
I didn't expect it but Winchester has an extensive menu. I am especially fond of their Chorizo mexi-scotch eggs. We had their brussel sprouts salad as well with buffalo wings and fries. Great selection of beers on tap, I love the Pint house Jellyfish and found it on tap there. Dart boards, TVs,
This is a really cool place with that touch of a real English pub. You want a secret spot not well known this is it. But don't tell anyone else or they will all want in.
Service was a little slow.. despite it being pretty empty. HOWEVER; the food was soooo good We got a combined order of 3 different appetizers and 2 entrees and everything was incredible and well presented too! Very picture worthy food! And it was a nice chill atmosphere as well !
Wanted somewhere close by work to get something to eat for my wife and my anniversary. So decided to go to The Winchester and couldn't have been happier with our pick. The food was great and it came out fast. Will be going back again SOON. Also, I believe our servicer might have been the owner or ma
A blonde bartender provided amazing service and a man with dreads cooked the steak to perfection. I will visit a few more times and hope to continue having great service! Remember the steak special is on Monday! Next time I’ll try the mashed potatoes instead of the fries.
Sammy was our bartender, waiter and table busser. He did a great job. The 4 of us all had something different from the menu. Everything was delivered fresh and hot. The portions were very generous. We ate before noon so the place was pretty empty. Will definitely be back.
We happened upon this place when Palomo wouldn't let us bring our puppy on the patio...wow! Such luck, it was Amazing!! We are foodies and we were a bit suspicious by the pub look but it was the BEST of many things, the scotch eggs, the schnitzel, burger....clearly from scratch, perfectly seasoned.
This Pub will forever be one of my favorites. The food was amazing as well as the customer service. Overall one of the best pubs I have experienced I highly recommend whether you are local or just passing through, stop and experience. I will be going back each time I pass through San Antonio.
If you haven’t gone for Sunday brunch, I gotta tell ya, you’re missing out. Dante is an amazing chef and although drink quality has fluctuated as bartenders come and go the food quality has remained A1! As long as he’s there I’ll always have a reason to stop for a delicious meal
Wow! Every single thing hit the spot! We started with the Schrooms. I love mushrooms so this was super yummy. The New York Strip was packing some heat. I love the spicy tough. The veggies were cooked to perfection...not too soft, not too crunchy! And everything was seasoned so well. And that Winches
Awesome place, wish I'd found this place sooner. Food was great and service too match, the wife and I both had the meat and potatoes, new York strip with the garlic mashed potatoes. I truly enjoyed myself at this establishment, and recommend you drop by and give them a shot. Inside you'll find a poo
