Review La Michelada Grill - San Antonio

Reasonable prices, good service and food, plus happy hour are all right here! And they even have a drive-thru. I ordered the mini asada tacos with a michelada and my husband had the pork chop plate with a frozen margarita. I also ordered avocado on the side and they gave me a generous amount. The borracho beans were flavorful and loaded with cilantro, which I really enjoyed. Everything was very good and we will return.

Great customer service to go along with great food...early morning breakfast before resuming journey of the mini tacos asada that came with a cup of fantastic pinto beans...loved that non franchise authenticity...oh..and those sauces were excellent...especially the green one...had that fresh made taste

Honest to god a tear formed in the corner of my eye when I placed the heavenly cheese enchiladas onto my tastebuds. Very exceptional! Very special! Very good!

Good and cheap authentic Mexican food. This place is great I would gladly go there again and again. The La Michelada meal is well worth the price! I just wished they served shredded beef in their burritos. That would make this place that much better.

9$ for a breakfast for 3. Need I say more? Of course! La Michelada’s is a delightful family restaurant that serves excellent food for breakfast lunch and dinner. I will be speaking specifically about my breakfast experience. Many great deals but we chose 3$ for 3 breakfast tacos. About 10 varieties to choose from. They were much bigger than I was expecting. They are larger than “street” tacos. We also got a double stack of pancakes and bacon for our 2 year old which were larger than expected and quite good. The service was friendly and quick and the eating space was clean and quaint. It is close the Lackland AFB so if your visiting your airman it’s just a quick hop for a delightful meal.

Went here several times during our stay. The food was amazing every time. One time, we ordered it to go and ate at our hotel. Service was quick and friendly.

Amazing flavor. The shrimp soup is easy for 4 persons... and the huachinango is huge fresh and tasty.

Well, I ordered cheese enchiladas name on the menu is Plato Mexicano #22 and let me tell you, its was NOT a let-dwn. And my kids dad, ordered the same like me, and my waitress did a good 👍 job, her name was Perla. Very nice, welled manage and took our order rite, well straight out she deserved her tip. And 2day I ordered the Caldo De Res, and pancakes on the side, lol 🙃 yes ik odd breakfast but it was all good 👍. Second time and still good.

Tue 3:51pm We have been there several times in the past. Service, food, and cleanliness have always been great. Food has always tasted delicious and abundant. Lilly has always been a great, caring an respectful person. However today was a different story. Only 2 waitresses and extremely slow service. Neither seemed happy to be there, no smiles just here is just here is your food and that's is that. I ordered a fajita plate and was served avocado that was black plus the tomato slices were spoiled. I told the waitress. She said ok, free plate. I could tell she did not care at all. The free plate was just a way out and basically telling me to shut up and be happy you got it free. The floor was filthy with trash, food and a fork under a table. The only reason the fork was picked up is because a disabled person in a wheel chair came up to the table. We spend most of the our 1 hour there waiting for the waitress to provide for tea and such. We ordered 2 plates and a menudo to go. I told her to add the menudo to the original ticket and the 2 other plates to a new ticket. She never did. I also had to put the spoiled food to one side and did not have the stomach to finish the plate. These 2 waitresses need a class on people skills and the cooks need to stop serving spoiled food. If I was a revenge type person I could have kept the spoiled food and call the health department. The menus are sticky also. The waitress handle, cash, coins, register, and other items with their hands and yet they were handling food items at the same time. Very wrong and very unhealthy. I certainly hope Mr. Manual Jr. rectifies these problems real soon. And please get Lilly back and give her a raise. I expect to hear from you real soon. Desiderio de la Garza

I have been going there on and off since it opened. The food & service have always been good. Yesterday, I was there for happy hour & I had their frozen margarita. It was delicious. I had the chicken flauta plate, also very good. Overall, I had a good experience. Sometimes I treat myself for breakfast by going there for their pancakes, eggs & bacon plate. With coffee, it's delicious.

Absolutely wonderful authentic Mexican food. We were there for breakfast and it was wonderful. If you are looking for a great Ma & Pop place to eat with not only excellent food but great prices check this place out!

OMG! I had the T-Bone steak lunch special and it was da bomb! You have to try this place. You will love it. Great service and great prices. I only paid $6.99 with a tea for this great meal.

Great place to eat. Food is Awesome and the prices are reasonable. Try the Micheladas that is why this place takes this name. The Owners are very humble people and come out and greet you.

This place was wonderful! Fast.. friendly.. inexpensive... a LOT of food.... and right by base! Authentic Mexican food! I recommended it on a couple air force M om's sites. Wish I had time for another visit before we leave.

The food was excellent! We came down for my brother's Air Force graduation and luckily stumbled upon this restaurant. Great recommendations, food was fresh, tasty and I highly recommend.

My wife let me know her food was cold. So I let them know but by then my son and i had ate our food, they did try to make it up. so for this I give then a two star.Cold food should not make it to the table of a customer.

The fact that they charged me $22 for five drinks is ridiculous! And they weren't even alcoholic beverages. SMH other than that the food was ok.

DO NOT use their drive through. We made it VERY clear that we wanted Potato, Bacon and Cheese tacos, they sad OK Potato Bacon Egg and Cheese, we said NO and repeated the CORRECT order, we got Potato and Egg. Good thing is we got pay for the EXTRA'S and got NONE. Their way of fixing this is by telling us to come back and get they will fix it. No refund for the items we did not get or even a credit for next time, they wanted us to drive all the way over there in the middle of the work day. Loose Gas, Loose Pay all to make up for their mistake. That is how handle things figuring that no one will want to go through all that for a taco. They are a rip off through the drive thru, DON'T USE IT!!!!

Place has lots of potential. The breakfast tacos are on point! So I decided to try some of their other tacos.<br/>Mistakes:<br/>- they only offer cheddar and mozzerala cheese! Why no Queso Fresca? And this is suppose to be a Mexican joint! Why do you even have mozz cheese there! <br/>- the food had an after taste of dishsoap!<br/>I ordered a Pacifico and they only had lemons. The waitress told me that dont carry limes.<br/>- i love al Pastor tacos! These were the worst I ever had! They were very bland with no flavor at all! Nothing put stringy fat chunks. And the taste of dish soap did not help. <br/><br/>I did like the option for outside seating. Other than that, I would stay away. I really hope the owners see this review and fix these simple issues. Sounds like they are taking way too many shortcuts.
