Review Pho Kim Long - San Antonio

Jazmyne McBride
Food is delicious and comes out very quick but they definitely need a seating method for organizational purposes. There was a heavy lunch rush and people were being sat out of order. There were even 2 couples that didn’t know each other who were sat in a booth together. They seemed so uncomfortable. Come with patience. The food is still great!

I have nothing but a good experience to say about this place. The pho was delicious. The broth was perfectly seasoned, anyone would enjoy the food. The restaurant was clean and quick to service you. The prices were reasonable. I got the pho steak and brisket with egg noodles on the side. I was stuffed… but the sweetest part is they boxed it up for me. That was so kind of them. I also got the steamed dumplings. They tasted like regular dumplings. You’ll be pleased to eat them if that’s your thing. The place was always constant with 3 or more people inside and packed with To-Go orders. Try this place out. They offer military discount as well.

Best little pho restaurant in town. Broth was delicious. I recommend starting with the fish sauce wings and fresh spring rolls. The only downside was the parking lot is way too small.

We had the beef and brisket pho for lunch on a cold day. It was absolutely perfection. Broth was rich, meat was tender, and the toppings were plenty. The service and food were both 5 stars! Will be going back here soon.

I picked up my "usual", fresh pork and shrimp spring rolls and grilled pork sandwich. And I got a avocado bubble tea! The order was perfect, packed nice and neat. The peanut sauce was so good! It was so delicious. I love this place, I've been going near for about ten years. Great central location. Sometimes I stop by while riding around on my bicycle. And the bubble was excellent! I should of ordered two bc I finished it before I got home! It's a lovely place

Good food generous portions. Great service in a quaint & cozy atmosphere. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that my husband’s meal was supposed to be spicy and it really wasn’t. My husband asked for hot oil to make it spicier to his liking but the hot oil still didn’t make the beef crunchy egg noodles spicy. I tried my husband’s dish and it could have been more flavorful. Overall, we will definitely return as the food being brought out looked so good!

Best Pho in SA! Friendly staff, great customer service, clean restaurant with tasty, flavorful dishes! Combination Pho is my fave! Weekly dinner rotation spot.

We found this place by accident, and I am happy we did. The food is so good and the service is excellent. We had the vegetarian pho, sweet and sour chicken and fried spring rolls. Absolutely delicious!

Viet was our server. Very fast and efficient. The Pho was great. We keep meaning to try other things but we keep ordering the Pho. Parking lot can be a challenge but the challenge will be worth it! UPDATE.. one word, yum (ok 3 words)

The only con about this place is the limited parking. I don't think there has ever been a time that I've been there and gotten anything but excellent service and food. I'm being serious hands down you will always get greeted within seconds and get a drink order within minutes. The food is phenomenal. Everyone got pho except me and their soup was hot filled to the top with everything listed on the menu and they'll make accommodations for any changes you need. I ordered the sesame chicken. Some of the best sesame chicken you can find in San Antonio. Consistency is their specialty. Love this place

Took my mini here for dinner and a game of mancala (we brought our board). I tried the lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl, and he got the tofu banh mi sandwich with veggie spring rolls. 🤤🤤🤤 The staff were really nice, helpful and fast at getting our order out, and the food was amazing!!! 😍🥰🙌 Can’t wait to come again!

My colleagues and I were looking for good Asian food and chanced by this. Owner is from Vietnam and the food were delicious. The real Asian taste that we missed during this trip. We tried a couple other well-reviewed Asian restaurants but this is the best we have tasted so far during this trip in San Antonio. Highly recommended by an Asian. The chilli sauce was yummy.

I’ve tried this place 3 times including today and I have to say it’s my favorite pho place. It’s close to my job and I only get an hour lunch; and even within that hour lunch I have enough time to eat since they bring my food within good time! The lady always packs my leftovers and refills my water without me asking. The broth is absolutely amazing, doesn’t need anything added but I do love to add chili oil which I found out today they actually have! I was ecstatic. Will definitely be coming here at least once a week!

Delicious pho!! The shrimp and pork spring rolls were good, but the sauce was runny. Also, the Pad Thai was different - my fault for ordering Thai at a Vietnamese restaurant. All in all, I would recommend this place for pho!

Excellent Mongolian beef! Best I've ever had, really light and not too heavy with crispy greens and fresh flavor. Excellent portion size as well. Spring rolls are outstanding.

I ordered the pho and there was a CATERPILLAR attached to the broccoli, had been cooked with it. Gooey and disgusting. It had little legs and eyes. We'd only just gotten our food and there it was.

It completely ruined my appetite (OBVIOUSLY), and when we told the owner we'd be leaving, she made a scene and demanded I pay for my drink, as if WE had done something wrong?! Absolute insanity!

I would not eat here again if you paid me to. Wish I had taken a picture.

With a name like Phở Kim Long, it was only a matter of time before we simply had to dine here. So, with some friends wanting an inexpensive dinner that was different, we figured this would be a good time to dine on some Vietnamese cuisine.

This restaurant is very clean, the wait staff is courteous enough, and the prices are extremely reasonable. All in all, it was a great dining experience for us.

My partner and I chose the Kim Long special for our appetizer (Menu item A1). This was shrimp, egg rolls, and spring rolls. These were tasty, and the shrimp were roasted.

My partner went all out with the Steak, Tendon (?), Brisket, and Beef Balls Noodle Soup (Menu item PH1). He really liked this Phở, and is already researching how to make it at home. I chose the Pad Thai (Menu item P1). This was chicken, beef, and shrimp, with egg noodles, tofu, onions, bean sprouts, and crushed peanuts. I must say this dish was amazing in its flavor. Both of our meals were very, very good.

Once you get past the cheesy name.... The pho is pretty good. HT6 is great -- lots of flavors to include sliced pork, tempura shrimp, wontons and of course the noodles, basil, green onions in a delicate broth. Service is extremely quick. No booze.

Great Food. Pho Kim is a great restaurant. The wait staff is not overly friendly, but they take care of your needs. The food is always hot, good and fast. I especially like their ice-tea that has a hint of vanilla. The price can't be beat and they have a really good lunch menu. The atmosphere is quiet even though it is busy.

By far one of the cleanest and fastest Pho place I've eaten. Oh, not to mention the food is awesome!!! I drive 25 minutes out of my way just to eat here.

This place has come a long way with its service. Fried squid ( calamari to others) is the best in San Antonio. All pho is great. It has been several months in between visits and I went three times in one week recently. A+++

Good taste but nothing to rave about. I went for lunch and the place is in a nice area. Its clean and decor is contemporary. I had the chicken Pad Thai which was a decent portion and had a good taste. My kids had lemon chicken which they said my homemade is way better and hands down I agreed! the chicken was very thin and breading came off on the first bite. skip the lunch specials and try their specials.

Hands down my fav Vietnamese restaurant in SA.

The pho here is really good! I lived in Asia for a year and this place takes me back to those times! I'm so glad they opened in my neighborhood and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good Vietnamese food.

Overpriced Decent pho. Pho was decent and lacked much meat. The menu didn't have other authentic Vietnamese noodles. The vermicelli was the only good thing there but is way overpriced, along with their French bread ($3.79 for barely 4 inches of bread where normal prices for "banh mi" is $2.50-$3 for a regular 12 inch). The menu distinctively has a 12 inch bread falsely advertised to correspond with the order and price. Hu tieu was flavorless and tasted weird. I wanted to drink some water afterwards but their water tasted like it was from tap. The waiter was rude and made me feel really uncomfortable on my first time there. They do talk about the customers in Viet, be aware. The wait time was good, overall waiter service is nice and attentive. The owner, though, was uninterested in your comments about the food. Overall, as a Vietnamese, I try to give places 2nd and 3rd chances to see differences in service, food, and atmosphere. On my 4th time there, it was quite unpleasant. If I am desperately craving Viet food, I would return again but knowing that it will burn my pocket and my taste buds. This place would satisfy the cravings of Olmos Park residents who lack a good Vietnamese pho restaurant to go to nearby and would pay at whatever the cost for Viet food, no matter how decent. However, as a Viet and a food connaisseur, I have seen and tasted much better.

Pho was good. Spring rolls were good. Fresh rolls a little on the bland side. Pad Thai was different than I've had it elsewhere, seemed more sautéed than stir fried, but flavor was good. They don't have bun bowls like most Vietnamese noodle houses do. Overall good.

PHO. My new pho fix... delicious! Prob some of the best spring rolls to. New regular.
