One of the best chicken fried steaks I've ever eaten. Service was quick. Value priced. Outside of building not the best but the food is great. Fresh homemade French fries and bread. Good stuff! Winner multiple local contests.

Great food always! Love the jalapeño fried offerings and homemade bread. Service can be a bit slow, but that is often due to high volume inside especially during holiday season. The pies get their own line so keep in mind, the pies are something special.

I like the quick homestyle food and atomsphere. They have very nice people working there; polite on the phone and at the counter... how refreshing! You feel at home and that's rare now these days. Got a giant fish sandwich, Mac n cheese, a Pepsi and a free Our Daily Bread booklet; now that's a complete meal😁

Really quaint place nestled in a cute little building. The food was on point, and the atmosphere was southern home cooking. It was a freat place to enjoy a chicken friend steak 😋

Got the Jalapeño fried chicken and honestly never had chicken like it before. It was awesome!!! It’s not overwhelmingly spicy but does have a bit of spice. More than anything the jalapeño and other herbs flavor come through full force. You can tell they care for their food and this is now one of my top 10 if not top 5 places for flavorful chicken!

Was promptly greeted at the door and seated. Ordered the Tuesday Special of Meatloaf with Creole sauce, mash potatoes and jalapeño Mac n cheese. Talk about flavor, wow and the jalapeño added a little spice. Service was great!

Heard of this place and had to try the amazing jalapeno battered chicken, jalapeno mac n cheese, fried okra and green beans. Next time will be the jalapeno chicken fried steak!

We tried the jalapeño fried chicken. It was very good! They’ve got a selection of jalapeño main dish choices. The staff was very friendly, making this an overall enjoyable experience.

Loved stopping by, great stop for the trip. I ordered the jalapeno fish dinner which came with two sides that I chose to be Jalapeno mac-n-cheese and pickled beets. I really loved the choice of entree had and the macaroni side, the beets were like any other beets. The atmosphere was great, they people were nice, but the tables felt crowded. The service was medeocer, the waitress took our food and put it at the wrong table, later realizing her mistake put it on our table without changing the food out for new, clean, fresh food. If you're concerned about hygiene for your food, I recommend to not come here. Note: order your pie at the beginning of your meal (you can still eat it at the end, they have a little fridge to hole them), because if you don't it will be gone, they run out quickly.

It's probably been 20 years since I first dined here and I remembered all this time, how it good it was. I knew it was off W.W. White...I remembered how much I loved the jalapeño chicken... So I'm back in San Antonio, running errands and BAM...there it is... RADICK"S. It was just as good as it was 20 years ago. I'll definitely be coming back :)

Excellent food and service. Their jalapeño chicken is amazing. Heck anything they make with jalapeño in the name is awesome. Get there early for lunch, it does get crowded quickly.

Stopped by for lunch based on other reviews and was not disappointed. Literally (and I am using that term correctly here) every single thing we had was excellent. The 2 stand outs were the Jalapeno Chicken Fried Steak and the Jalapeno Fish dinner. Just outstanding. But the regular fish dinner and guacamole cheese burger were no slouches either. Our whole party liked it all and there was hardly a crumb left between us. Highly recommended. A couple of warnings: The parking lot is crowded and chaotic. Be prepared and don't part in neighboring lots. There are signs warning about getting towed. Seating is tight. Be prepared to get cozy with your party and your neighbors. Lastly, if you want pie order it right away. When they run out that's it for the day. There was some wonderful looking pie in the case that was already spoken for by the time we got to the end of our meal. :)

First time here, the aesthetic is southern and very inviting. It does feel like you’re out in the country and the waitresses were very inviting. I got the jalapeño fried chicken and when I say it is the crispiest chicken I’ve ever had Im not exaggerating. It was so well seasoned with a small kick from that jalapeño and the texture was indeed crispy without drying out the chicken itself. I got the mac and cheese which looks bland, but when you actually taste it, it is anything but that. And their gravy is also a win for me. My expectations were definitely exceeded, and the experience was quite impressive. True comfort food, I will be returning here.

Goal? Comfort food! Tortilla soup was really Good! Not Spicey but the flavor was great! Next? Chicken fried steak with mash and Mac. The macaroni and cheese was to die for! Mash potatoes were good with their cream gravy and the chicken fried steak was good also. Not alot of fat on the steak or too much breading. Last but not least dessert! Chocolate cream pie was a nice touch to the final meal. Tasted like chocolate pudding :) Tea was great and not stale! Fresh fresh fresh! It does get crowded during lunch time but the wait staff was on top of it! Kuddos to them! I saw alot of other dishes that looked heavenly so there is something for everyone. Overall great lil hole in the wall! Come visit you won't be disappointed!
