Visited w/ co-workers for lunch. One had never had sushi or raw fish. Ordered the seared Tuna for the table and she didn't like the texture. However, she did like her Bento Box. She also liked the tempura style rolls.
I ordered the nigiri and bibimbap. Both very good and the seared tuna was really good too. Had a bite of everyone's entree and everything was good.
Server was excellent. Can't go wrong here.

Great sushi and udon! Highly recommend, we'll be returning again. The service was over the top. Very friendly, very attentive, truly just a great experience!
I love coming to Goro's. Great sushi rolls, kiss of fire is one of my favorites. I also recommend the cilantro cream sauce or the wasabi mayo. Armando, Wesley, Martinez, and all the staff are so friendly and do an amazing job!
My good friends have been taking us to this restaurant ever since we started visiting San Antonio ,and we love to come here. They have some of the largest sushi rolls youāll ever see and they are incredibly delicious. Armando is amazing ,he and his crew know how to deliver very good service to their customers.
Amazing sushi. From the moment we walked in the staff was super helpful and friendly. Our waitress helped us pick out the best sushi just after listening to a few of our orders and guessing what we liked. The squid and gyoza and pork cutlet bowl were very tasty and flavorful. I was so full but still wanted more. I'm definitely coming back and bringing my friends.
This place is my personal favorite in San Antonio. Our food was super delicious.
Had a great 60th birthday lunch with two of my children. Goro's you Rock.
On the real the price for the atmosphere is extremely on point. The food was amazing and the waiter provided a very accurate description of everything on the menu. The food was amazing from appetizer to the entree. All in all they accepted the customer as they came and real showed out on taking care of their customers. Highly recommended.
I have been wanting to go to Goro's for years now and I finally made it! They did not disappoint!
I will say this place has kind of a dive feel... but what it lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for in quality and service.
I ordered the shrimp and veggie tempura and it was a mound of delicious food, including soup, white rice and a Japanese style salad with yummy dressing. My mom and I ate for $35, which included sake.
I did peep the sushi menu and the sushi seemed overpriced, but it is likely worth the cost. There were bona fode sushi chefs at Goro's, working behind the bar so you could watch them hand-roll.
I recommend this place to anyone who wants to support a local San Antonio restaurant and enjoy delicious Japanese food and outstanding, personalized service!
The kiss of fire roll was amazing! Very flavorful and spicy, The coconut sake was good too and cold, the waiter and service was great! Will be back
I was really curious about this place since I heard so many good thinks about it. As I entered the building I was transported to the 70s which was a fun. The food is very good and the service was great. The only reason I give it 4š instead of 5 is that something didn't agree with me and my husband stomachs, however due to how good the food was we may be back.
The service was great. The food was very delicious. The parking is a little tight. But overall well worth the stop
SUSHI! It's what you're here for. My wife and I really enjoyed this establishment. We're spoiled coming from Houston having tons of great options and have been trying to find the "one" sushi place we want to call home. Goro's is very close to being that option. We were very pleased with the sushi offerings and the sizes that were given to us. The rolls are very generously stuffed and much larger than I'm used to. One of the rolls we got was cut into ten pieces even! The free miso soup and salad that came before the main course were also a very nice touch. I'm not usually a fan of peanut sauce, but the one on the salad was pretty good. I don't know if Groro's will be the "one", but it will be one that we will visit again. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the waiters were very quick and responsive. I never did see the bottom of my glass, even though we were drinking only water. I highly recommend this place for any sushi lovers in the San Antonio area.
Really I havenāt been to too many sushi restaurants in town. First visit here and the staff was great, super attentive and helpful. The food was great as well, the portions were pretty big as you can see and the flavor was great!
Love Goro's and everyone I've ever spoken to about this place seems to feel the same way. Good prices overall, and the vibe is very immaculate. Can be pretty busy on certain occasions, but if's definitelt worth the wait if there ever is one.
Diverse menu with good pricing, if you're into the complex rolls on the menu the size of them is something impressive, but no complaints about anything on the menu.
The food and service here are amazing! I donāt think Iāve ever had my glass of water refilled as many times as I have until I dined here (the servers are truly attentive). The food tasted fresh and was quite delicious while also being reasonably priced. Highly recommend if youāre looking for sushi and some Japanese dishes!
