We were seated immediately upon arrival and our waiter Don was the sweetest! Took time explaining dishes, never rushed us and always seemed so happy to help!

We didn't know this place existed or that they did Hibachi, it was not packed. Place was clean. Restroom was clean. Just came form La Cantera and those were the worst Restrooms I've ever been in. People were friendly and very good service all night. We had 4 different sushi rolls, egg rolls and three meals on the Hibachi. Our cook Eli was very good!

I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant! The atmosphere was very welcoming and our waitress was awesome and extremely friendly. There was plenty of seating for bigger parties and they had a lot of options for sushi and Korean food! I ordered the Korean spicy pork and it rocked! Though I wish they could’ve offered some traditional Korean sides, it was very delicious!
The sushi’s were also great quality and would definitely recommend coming for a fusion type of cuisine.

We took our daughter out for her birthday. She likes oriental food and picks different restaurants so we can take her. This restaurant is really awesome. The food was delicious even my husband liked it and he's very picky. Told his friends about it and they should try it. Our waiter was awesome and outstanding, a young skinny guy (Nico) I think. Overall a wonderful place to dine.

Wow! This place has changed! The previously sushi restaurant was terrible! Today was fantastic. Our waitress was super friendly and always had a smile on her face! The sushi rolls tasted fresh and were well made. The flavors were balanced. The prices were very reasonable! The miso soup was some of the best I have had in town! I’m so glad we have a sushi place near our home that taste amazing!

My husband and I saw an ad for this restaurant a few months ago so we were thrilled to finally have a chance to check it out for a dinner date. The atmosphere was comfortably cozy with lovely bold-colored, simplistic decor, and friendly, helpful wait staff.
We started our meal tasting three small sakes we'd not had before (Hakutsuru, Nigori Silky Mild, and Moonstone Plum), all which were enjoyable. I did feel the Nigori sake could have been better if it had more flavor but it was good regardless.
For an appetizer we shared an order of Takoyaki as well as a Sunomono Salad, both which we ate before I even thought to take pictures 😅. They were fantastic!!
For Entrees, we shared a Sailor Moon Roll, Bulgogi, and Ddukbaegi Bulgogi. All three were absolutely wonderful, though one stood out above the rest. I felt as though the Ddukbaegi Bulgogi (soup) had warmed my soul with its rich umami flavor, perfectly cooked beef strips, creamy tofu and beautifully glistening sweet potato noodles! Saying it's a very special dish hardly does it justice. One trip is definitely not enough to explore all their menu has to offer so we will definitely be going back again and again!

Brad was our server- very nice, patient, detailed oriented. We asked questions and either answered it or found the answers for us.
Food was delicious. We've had 30+ years of experience with Korean and Japanese food. For San Antonio, this is best place for Japchae, tteokkboki, and bulgogi.
희성 Hweeseong (management) also was kind of enough to stop by our table and had a really good conversation about the restaurant. She was very informative about the ingredients selected and shared what makes the dishes so unique.
The customer service and quality of food matches the prices. A place you definitely have to try out with a group of friends.

The food and atmosphere are wonderful for neighborhood locals like myself who enjoy not having to drive far for a great meal. My girlfriend and I visited yesterday and were shocked at the great taste. We were in a bit of a hurry, but loved the food. Today, we came for our second visit in a row and I brought a friend. He was also pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. Our food tasted great, the drink selection was nice, and our server Donny was great. I can’t wait to return!

First off, I want to recognize the service. The service is really good. So, they get an A+ for that one. The food was presented very nicely. We really liked that they serve pretty food. However, the taste is a where some of the ups and downs. The appetizers we tried, gyoza and takoyaki, were really good. The gyoza was plump and great filling and the takoyaki was not mushy. The bibimbap was very disappointing for us, it might be good for others but too much bell pepper for vegetable was not that good for us. Wish there was more meat or even mushrooms. The japchae was okay. It is also pricier than other restaurants of the same type.

Came for the Hibachi grill and the place we originally chose said they stopped seating at 830pm and found this place by chance. We were seated promptly, Craig was our server very tentative to drinks took our orders; soup, salad and appetizer didn’t take long and kept us busy while our chef, John finished another table. John was great, entertaining, engaging and great food. Food was good portions we all had take home boxes and stomachs stuffed. It was great to see the manager onsite. We think it shows a lot to have them sitting out and watching the restaurant. We will definitely try this place again. Other reviews had me nervous about service but we enjoyed our visit. I think you just have to try it for yourself.

Me and my family got there at 4pm the waiter took forever to get our drinks then he brought our soup by this time it was already 430 still no food just soup and it was not busy only us and another table we were so hungry the table next to us got the way after us and they had already eaten there sushi and we sat there till 5pm still no food!!! We will not be back!!

We had reservation for a group of 22, but ended up waiting an hour and a half for the chefs to start our dinner. The other chef was still busy with another party so half was able to eat before the other half. The employees tried, but the management should've called in extra staff. It was hard to pay an %18 gratuity for a large party to have poor service.

Went with my wife for a date night and we will be back for sure. Food was delicious and the portions were way more than expected. Try the dinner for two; soup, salad, and your entree served by a chef who is talented and kept the conversation flowing. My only complaint would be I needed to ask our server for a fresh glass when ordering a second beer.

the best sushi in town. Service is always great and we never have to wait too long on our food. The sushi portions also fit the bill; unlike some sushi places--who shall remain nameless--who charge you almost 15 dollars for something you can get at HEB for less.

This is usually one of our favorite places but lately and as recent as yesterday the service and food has not been great. Slow to get drinks, food just okay, having to wait and then even ask for napkins, silverware and check. The price is not that cheap, so I expect a little better. Sorry to say it's time to start looking for a new place.

Our 1st visit a year ago was perfect! Went back yesterday and the rice was not cooked all the way. The steak was over cooked and the waitress was terrible about getting refills on drinks! Won't be back.

Sushi tasted fresh. Johnson City roll is smooth yet crunch in the middle.... Good combo. UT roll had alot going on with shrimp, crab, and 2 sauces on top. But good with the 2 kinds of fish, avocado and cream cheese inside... very smooth flavors. Marked as spicy but not really... coming from someone who doesn't do very spicy. Tried the sashimi salad with spicy lemon dressing. Now that had some true heat.

Sushi Bar is good for what they have. But the time to receive our food was outrageous. People were leaving the restaurant because they didn’t receive their food.
They need a better cook. The wait staff kept apologizing for the cook and the wait.
We’ll be giving Osaka’s our business from now one.
