There's a lot of popsicle places in San Antonio these days, but Steel City knows their stuff. It was hard to decide between a fresh fruit pop or something more desserty, like their pops that contain dough cores and dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. I finally decided to get the blood orange pop, and it was extremely refreshing and fruity.

I absolutely love this place for a quick and yummy dessert. I really enjoy the carrot cake pop however it is only seasonal but there are always good flavors to choose from. The atmosphere is fun for a nice place to meet friends and family and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I always enjoy the creamy pops and I usually get them dipped in dark chocolate with toasted coconut on top, and that is the cool thing about this place you can make your pop exactly the way you like it. The pops are affordable, too!

Came here last Saturday with friends. It’s spacious and clean inside, they made their own ice cream pops and they have different varieties of flavors. We got banana split, s’mores and double chocolate. They were all delicious! High recommended!!

This place is a must-hit for dessert in San Antonio, from a very friendly and fast staff, to delicious options, it's no wonder there's always a line out the door. Choose from ready combinations, or pick your own popsicle, toppings, drizzle, and sprinkles. Rotating flavors give you a reason to keep coming back, as if everything else wasn't enough.

The variety and taste of these pops were great! My husband and I had a great time getting a sneak peek at how these pops get made and taste some of their delicious flavors. The avocado flavor was surprisingly delicious and creamy, while the bloody orange was refreshing and my husband's fave. We ended up getting the lime pop dusted with sea salt and the pop of the month, the horchata Mexican hot chocolate. Yum! We will definitely be frequenting this location!

Double chocolate salted caramel for the win! So so so good! And of course I added sprinkles because you can custom add toppings! Tons of flavors and combinations to choose from. A wonderful dessert option!

An excellent "paleta" establishment in Southtown San Antonio. Great customer service as soon as we walked in throughout the popsicle building process. They have a wide variety of fruity pops and creamy pops that can both be dipped and drizzled with several different condiments and top with nuts as well. One of the new hot spots in Southside of San Antonio.

Steel City Pops is a must! I will say that the creamy pops are the way to go! Try a chocolate pop dipped in white chocolate, caramel drizzle and pistachios! Such a good combination! Also tried the hibiscus pop, which was so sweet and refreshing. The staff was super friendly and so helpful with combination ideas! Great for the whole family!

An interesting idea for popsicles 🤔 the ones we tried where good, but a little hard to eat with out getting really messy. They also had run out of white chocolate, and milk chocolate.

It's a new place with a new spin on "paletas." It's a "chain" business and not a run of the mill, mom and pop type of business. It can get pricey for "paletta/ice cream on a stick" desserts. I paid a little over $20 for (5) paletta's, (3) plain and (2) dipped bars, on First Friday last week. (Check out my pictures.) An avg ice cream "pop" plain, with no bells or whistles, is about $3.50 for a fruit or creamy bar, 4.50 for a "cookie" pop, with an additional $1.25 for the "drizzle or dredge" addition. (**don't forget to add taxes**) Once you add the "dip covering" or "sprinkles" then your price starts rising up in cost. I had the plain chocolate and it seemed sort of bland and tasteless, not chocolatey. The coffee flavored one was tasty and my wife enjoyed it. My son had the chocolate dipped vanilla bean and he said it was good. Our teacher/friend had the coconut flavored one, it also had some coconut type shavings at the bottom, and she said it had some good flavor to it. My daughter had the toasted marshmallow one, dipped in chocolate, and she enjoyed it. She said it tasted like a "smore." After all is said and done, this place is gonna be an every other occasion, not weekly type of ice cream joint based on price/value alone. Good stuff though. And you get a little cool bag for your "pops" with an ice "bag" for your to go pop!
