Awesome Tapas, awesome Sangria, great Paella.. and the Flamenco dancers were mesmerizing. You've got to try this place. Awesome all around.
When you want that feeling of a magical night in old Town Sevilla Spain.... then Carmen's de la Calle is the place for you! From flavorful food to the passionate flamenco dancing 💃 you will transcend to another place in another! Ole!
This is not a place, it is an experience! Very authentic Spanish food, from paella to kale, there’s something for everyone. The food is delicious. Warm and cozy with flickering candles on the table in an intimate setting. Of course there’s a bar for your drinking pleasure, and many artful happenings
A jewel of a hole in a wall. The outside does not match the ambiance inside. A must go to place. Great food, wine beer and the entertainment on Fridays is worth your time.
Paella and Sangria on a Saturday night while listening to vocalist Laura Marie. Carmens has a welcoming ambience & their Paella & Sangria are incredible!
Fantastic Flamenco! My wife and I recently attended a Grenada performance in Spain and Carmens is on the same level. Please attend if you have any interest and appreciation for Flamenco.
Hidden Gem. Loved the Flamenco dancing and the food was great. Come prepared to pay cash for the cover charge. Not having cash seemed to throw everything off kilter for the staff. They ended up holding our credit cards at the bar as a compromise. Owner is great but needs more wait staff. She i
This place is awesome. My wife and I started our anniversary celebration at Carmen's. We did not have reservations but they took us in and gave us the best table in the house. We loved the food and the show. You cant beat this place for a romantic experience that is not overly priced. We will defini
From the live entertainment to the staff is this just a wonderful experience. Cocktails are fairly priced and are excellent and depending on the night of the week it can be entertained with anything from poetry to live bands of various types. Don't miss the opportunity to visit here you'll be glad y
Excellent food includes a variety of tapas made from scratch. Drinks are great especially their housemade sangria. Live performances such as acoustic music and flamenco take place Fridays and Saturdays for a cover charge of $15 a person. Over all the ambiance is intimate and great for dates. Highly
Such a cool place!!! The Baja mahi fish tacos are the best I’ve ever had!!! So delish!!!
We loved Carmen's when they were on Mistletoe, but Friday, Nov 22, 2019 was our first visit to their new location on N Flores. We took our 21 year old granddaughter and her 22 year old fiance. We were SO LUCKY that there was a four-top that wasn't reserved. The venue is very small so there are no
I recently had dinner on a Friday night and found this restaurant to be romantic and full of the passion of Spain. The service was attentive and friendly. The show was full of passion and filled the room with energy. The food was delicious and authentic. I had the European meat and cheese plate an
This is definitely one of my favorite places in San Antonio, it is very eclectic and cool without being pretentious. The food is amazing, I absolutely love the paella!! It reminds me of one of those restaurants in New York (without the price tag) that only a handful new about. Also they have a fla
Interesting place! Small (seats maybe 40 at very small tables), intimate restaurant with a small stage for performances. Place your food order at one bar and your drink order at another. They have the best empanadas I've ever found in the U. S. Reservations highly recommended.
This is by far our favorite spot in San Antonio. Great tapas, cozy atmosphere but even better is the live entertainment. These singers and dancers sing and dance their hearts out. It makes us feel like we have gone back to Spain every time we come to Carmen's.
My favorite spot in DT San Antonio is Carmen De La Calle. It is a great place to go and relax the food is excellent. The sangria is delicious they have a full bar with great drinks. The entertainment is awesome which you pay very little at the door for top notch performance so it's a steal. I highly
Excellent paella. The flameco show is authentic. Dancers, singer, guitar player are outstanding. Highly recommend.
Quick walk from River Walk. Staff was super friendly. The sangria was tasty. The flamenco music and dancing was terrific. We stayed for both shows! If you have never experienced a Flamenco show and even if you have, give Carmens a try, you won't be disappointed.
