Sam's Boat

Interesting place. The food was probably close to 5 stars, but the atmosphere was barely a 4... Sam's Boat is a little too sports bar, for my taste. That said, the food had depth and character beyond a sports bar. I might go back, but I'd make sure it wasn't during a sporting event... So I could hear others at my table and not have someone yelling at me from 15+ TVs encircling my table.

I go here for lunch ever other week and it's a great place for Seafood. Dinner we had a lack of customer service and the food was sub par this time. I recommend this place for lunch if you want a nice quiet meal. Besides that the gumbo is my favorite. It has crab, shrimp and crawfish. The queso is also really good to go with it.

First time to visit for dinner today. Though it's more known for its seafood, I thought to try the honey bourbon bbq chicken wings. It was very tasty and had a tinge of spiciness. My husband had the gulf coast ponchetrain and thought it was ok. He liked the place but would likely try something else next time.

Best customer service that I’ve experienced at a restaurant! And good customer service is a rarity these days. Not only was Cheyenne, our waitress, super personable and timely but the whole staff had a very welcoming demeanor. The Manager checked on us and the staff just seemed to be relaxed and had fun working there, it was apparent that they loved their jobs. And in turn it made us relaxed and we had a fabulous time! The TVs and live music and activities like Jenga were awesome.. we’ll definitely come back with the whole family! The drink specials were also amazing!

I really like the shrimp here. The service is usually pretty good here for the most part. The last time I went we had a waitress that was fairly new and there was a few mix ups but nothing to be mad about. They have a patio with some games and whatnot which is nice. I would recommend this place as a couple notches above sea island. It's like Willie's but seafood.

Went today for the first time and enjoyed everything! Our waitress (didn't grab her name) answered all of our questions and was a delight even when our infant was being a pain. If she is I there when I go back again and I'm definitely gonna request to be in her section as our service was flawless. We ordered the 3lbs crawfish and they were PERFECT. The perfect amount of spicy with that slow building heat. We also ordered a side of red beans and rice that was delicious, only complaint there was the cornbread muffin on the side was literally as hard as a rock. No big deal as I was stuffing myself on the craw fish. My husband ordered the brownie sundae and it was awesome as well.. the manager came over and checked on us which is always a plus. Overall value, service, food, and atmosphere was outstanding. We will be back.
