Can’t get enough! The menu is so unique to any other restaurant I’ve ever been to in San Antonio. I had the fish empanadas and the soup. Plus plantains and ice cream for dessert. I wasn’t disappointed and left absolutely stuffed. To top it off the drinks are fresh and delicious .

Excellent food. I’ve traveled all over Mexico and this is wonderfully authentic Veracruz. I highly recommend the ceviche nikkei and the octopus if you love octopus. It was truly cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. I couldn’t believe I finished this rich dish, but it was so good I couldn’t stop eating. Hurry! Get to Villa Rica and tell Chef Gustavo that David sent you.

Well prepared seafood dishes in a colorful and artfully decorated space on the Mission Reach of the San Antonio River. From ceviche to marinated and grilled octopus, the flavors were perfect and everything was so tender. Add fried plantains and black bean cakes and you won't leave hungry. Great mojiti and pisco sour cocktails.

Villa Rica is one of the best and unique seafood experiences in San Antonio. The menu is perfect for ordering a two course meal or a sharing several appetizers and small plates. The crevice options are range from tradional to innovative but are all absolutely delicious! Highly recommend you try their craft cocktails if that's you're thing.

Dinner was amazing!! The shrimp taco was a fusion of flavors that I have never tasted before, simply amazing! Best guacamole on the planet! Definitely going to be one of my once a week places to eat at. Laid back atmosphere along the San Antonio river.

Truly authentic Mexican seafood with great ambiance and service. The dishes were delicious and delicately prepared, nothing like you have ever tasted elsewhere in town. We especially enjoyed the crispy crab accompanied with fried sweet plantains and beans with fresh cheese. The ceviche (fresh fish marinated in lime juice, cilantro, green onions, and herbs) was outstanding! The fish was so FRESH that it seemed to melt in our mouth!!! We have been there three times already. The restaurant is behind the Blue Star Complex, with a nice view of the River Walk. You would never know it is there unless you are looking for it.

Villa Rica is perfect for a romantic, riverside date. Location couldn't be better at the Flats of Big Tex right on the water lending itself perfectly to a stroll along the water after a satisfying meal . VR proves to be my favorite out of the other Hernandez restaurants ( La Gloria and Burgerteca ) with traditional seafood dishes served with a slight spin to make it interesting but keep the best of what make it classic . The "classic ceviche" was good enough to keep me coming back again, but the salmon taco was light but filling . Customer service was superior and the whole experience was awesome .

Fabulous final dinner in San Antonio. Don't miss the bright mojito with your delightfully fresh seafood, corn custard and toasted coconut ice cream to finish.
