Good food. Service lacks, they could do a lot better. Beans lack some flavor. Sandwiches are delicious. In reference to the smell it can related to constriction and wood stain. It doesn't really affect your taste buds. Prices are reasonable but leave you desiring more value for what you pay. Definitely a place to give a try and decide for yourself. In general is good.
Found this place by accident and so glad that I did. I couldn't believe how tasty the chicken is. I did the rotisserie chicken, but I debated with myself on whether or not to try the chaufa which is the Peruvian version of fried rice....but I'll be back so no need to look at the menu. Sony want to say it is a hole in the wall, but not a fancy place but you couldn't tell by the food. Definately a clean place and a friendly staff. Highly recommend this place.
I experienced some fresh Peruvian flavors here, from the wood smoked Rotisserie to the bright salad , tender rice and beans to their sirloin, not one bite was dry . Cooked to perfection ! The dessert is also a must try, personally I love the Alfajor cookies , two soft powdered cookies sandwiched with Manjarblanco ( homemade South American caramel) that isn't too sweet but just right :) 12/10 Service and Cuisine , Will return :)
Great food to remind you of the great culinary bonanza that is Peru. Our order was arroz chaufa de langostinos and 1/2 a chicken. The order came out quick with cilantro and rocoto sauces on the side. Both plates were delicious. Their specialty is rotisserie chicken, just like "pollerías" style restaurants in Peru, but in addition the Chef added some typical Peruvian dishes to the spread. I want to go back for the aji de gallina.. Eat well and enjoy life ;)
The chicken was outstanding, moist and flavorful with a great herbs, spicy kick. The fried plantains were perfectly caramelized outside and tender the slight sweetness a great complement to the chicken. Yucca has been perfectly fried with a nice crispy outside and chewy inside.
The food is different but familiar. The Arroz Chaufa Mixtos was an interesting spin on Fried Rice which is a staple for me. My wife had Aji de Gallina which was OK. We'll come back to sample more of the menu. Tables and floors were sticky. Hard to be critical when people are fighting just to survive.
Great food, nice clean restaurant ,friendly staff. Very well priced a place you can take the whole family and not feel like you've been cheated of a good meal. won't leave a big dent in your wallet. Definitely coming back again and to make this place perfect they sell beer and wine. What more could you ask for on top of that they have good food.
Excellent Peruvian food cooked by an authentic Peruvian. Always nice to see the owner right up front helping and getting to know customers. A great experience all around.
It's something new. Playing Peruvian music and not hot 100 hits might help the ambience. Chicken is fantastic.
My husband found this place as a new date night choice. He showed me the menu and I was excited to try it. The place is casual and pleasant inside. It being my first try at Peruvian food the staff was patient with my questions. I had the 1/4 chicken all white meat and the yucca fries. My husband had the soup as well. The food was amazing! The sauces are wonderful. We liked it so much he went back and picked up a whole chiden for us to eat the next night! I wanted to try the traditional cookies, but sadly they were out. I hope to get to try them soon though. Do not question your choice to go here, just go and you'll fall in love.
