Jason's Deli - Sonterra

***Military Discount*** Once again, Jason's deli delivers great tasting food and excellent customer service. The salad bar is impressive and fresh. They also have complimentary muffins to all guest and FREE ICE CREAM! The sandwiches are stuffed with large portions of vegtables, meat and anything else you want. The chips are crisp and salted to perfection! The cup of soups and side of fruit are a nice serving size.

First off, the guy at the counter was very friendly and polite. I ordered the Italian sandwich. The sandwich was over flowing, which made it a bit difficult to eat. The Italian dressing and rogue tomatoes required a few napkins to clean my hands up with. Not a typical sandwich experience, but it was DELICIOUS! I'd absolutely order it again.

Update: Still great good. I've been back about a thousand times. Mayne once per week. I've tried damn near the whole menu and haven't had any issues. Still one of my favorite lunch salad, sandwich, soup places in town. Consistent and you always know what you're gonna get. Original: Love this Jason's Deli! They are always clean with friendly service. Can get busy at times but that doesn't scare their team. I tried a new dish this time (Frio Pie) which did not disappoint. The salad bar is always a great option with fresh vegetables and topping choices. Great for a quick healthy bite. Highly recommend!

Jason's Deli is one of favorite restaurants in San Antonio, it's been around all my life and still has the tasty food I remember when I was a little kid. When I was younger (and still today) I loved how they had free ice cream and it was self-serving! Unlike most restaurants which either had the machine broken or it wasn't self-serve. My favorite thing is the salad bar, which has a variety of options and is all the same price no matter what you put on it. I highly recommend their broccoli cheddar soup too! The only downside is cleanliness, the tables and plates seem a bit greasy and there are multiple booths right next to the bathrooms. Overall though I recommend you stopping by and tasting some delicious food!
