Stopped in on a recommendation for breakfast tacos. The restaurant was bright and clean. The service was fantastic. I had a Carne guisada taco, a chorizo and egg, and a chorizo and potato taco. The food was good. I would go back. My sister ordered midas. She said they were overcooked and the portio
Been coming here for almost 10 years now! Their tacos are huge, delicious, and a great price.
Ruthie’s is a West Avenue institution. We’ve been going for almost two decades and the quality has stayed the same. It’s great Tex Mex but I particularly love their breakfast menu (which you can order all day). A San Antonio classic.
Very nice people that are friendly so early in the morning! Tacos came out quickly and they were delicious! Carne guisada was super tender with the right amount of comino. If you know about comino, then you know a lil goes a long way! The tortillas are homemade and surprisingly airy. The menu had so
Ruthies is near and dear to me. It's been around as long as I can remember and I never fail to stop by for a taco anytime I'm in town. The tortillas are amazing and you can taste the magic in every ingredient. I highly recommend going here if you haven't before, my bet is that you may very well find
Tacos are good, service is quick, food is affordable. “Humble” is an appropriate description. Owner is a good dude. Gave me some free tacos on my wedding day. I stopped in a year after moving away and he recognized me
Good little spot to eat breakfast or lunch. The service is good, the food is quite good. I got the beef Chile relieno special and it was great. I liked the tomato cream type orange sauce they put on it. Even without cheese it was real good. The rice and beans, Chile relieno was what I'd consider gr
A terrific experience every time!
Breakfast tacos were delicious. Everything was freshly made to order! One of the best in San Antonio. Highly recommend you give Ruthie’s a try!
Great, authentic Mexican food. It was very busy Sunday morning and took a long time to get our call in order, but it was worth the wait.
Don't judge this place by the outside. Really great food and service 👌.. Definitely love coming here.
One of the best Mexican restaurants in San Antonio as far as I can say Top 5 guaranteed. My 6 yr old raves about the Bean and Cheese and the Tortillas are Top 3
Discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant on Sunday 6th of August 2023 ,I'm posting this on Wednesday the 9th. I've been twice since Sunday absolute bomb I love it. Apparently this place has been around forever.I was told by a fellow Raiders fan that he and his family have been going there for over
Ruthie's is delicious and the service is great. Check the barbacoa BEFORE you order because it might have more fat, gristle, and membrane than meat. The chorizo a la mexicana is soooo good. A highly recommended breakfast taco destination for sure. #legit
Ruthie's is right on the corner of Patricia and west Ave. I have been living in the area about 3 months and just kind of wandered into the restaurant and I am so happy for it. They have some of if not the best tacos I've ever had!!! Try the super taco for less than 425 it's a meal in a shell!!!
