The SmokeHouse BBQ in San Antonio, Texas is a gem for BBQ lovers. Their menu is packed with incredible and great tasting BBQ classics, from mouthwatering brisket to finger-licking ribs. And let's not forget about their well-made sides, like the creamy macaroni and cheese. But the real star of the show is their chop buns. These hearty meats draped in a sweet sauce are a deal that cannot be beat. Trust me, you won't find a better BBQ joint in town.

I have been here a handful of times and have had great experiences every single time. The food was very flavorful. All the food was pretty good but my favorite items were the sausage and sweet potato pie. The sausage had a nice tender texture and delicious peppered flavor. The sweet potato pie melted in your mouth and had an enjoyable marshmallow aftertaste. My husband's favorite item was the brisket. It was tender, flavorful and seasoned well. The staff was quick, helpful, and very friendly. The interior had a cute but simple, cozy, country feel to it. I will definitely be back again soon.

As soon as I walked into the Smokehouse, I was hit by the incredible smell of woodsmoke and slow-cooked meats. The dining area was clean and well-lit, and the staff welcomed me with a smile. I ordered two to-go plates, each featuring the mouth-watering trio of brisket, smoked sausage, and BBQ chicken, as well as a side of creamy potato salad and perfectly seasoned beans. Let me tell you, the food did not disappoint. The brisket was juicy and tender, with a deep smoky flavor that melted in my mouth. The smoked sausage was bursting with savory spices, and the BBQ chicken had a perfectly crisp skin and moist, flavorful meat. The potato salad was creamy and tangy, and the beans were rich and satisfying. It was clear that the Smokehouse takes pride in their slow-cooked, wood-smoked meats, and the care they put into their food was evident in every bite. But it wasn't just the food that impressed me - the staff at the Smokehouse were friendly, courteous, and attentive. They answered all of my questions about the menu and made sure my order was exactly what I wanted. Their enthusiasm for their food was infectious, and it made me appreciate the meal even more. Overall, I would highly recommend the Smokehouse to anyone looking for top-quality BBQ in San Antonio. The combination of delicious food, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere makes it a standout in the crowded world of BBQ restaurants. So if you're in the area, be sure to stop by and enjoy some of the best slow-cooked meats you'll ever taste.

I've been eating at The Smokehouse for many years, even before it was The Smokehouse and it was Bob's Smokehouse. The food here is really good, chop sandwiches can be a bit greasy however. Brisket here is so.e of the best Ive had, you can request it lean, marbled, or fatty.. Prices are fair in comparison to many other BBQ restaurants and portions are generous. This restaurant is a popular location for people who work and live in the neighborhood where its located. The insides are very homey & country looking. What you might find in a small roadside diner in a small town. Food quality has always been consistent and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new BBQ place to try. If you want some homestyle BBQ this is a good place to go.. Food Quality 8/10 Food Prices 8/10 Portion Sizes 9/10

The Smoke House did hit the spot for me when I was in the area and wanted some brisket and cream corn. The meat quality and flavor was good but not the best like what I am used to eating at the Big Bib. The cream corn was very thick like queso but it was tasty. The dining area and the restroom really the entire place was very clean and well kept.

The wife and I came all the way from South Seattle/ Olympia to have their BBQ again. The Brisket was our favorite. We had the Brisket and Rib plate with a side of chicken. The only disappointing thing was an older Mexican Lady came from out the back to clean tables, however she didn't clean any tables and just touch three tables with her rag and proceeded to go straight to the garbage lid and wipe it vigorously with the rage, and go back to one of the tables and wipe it down a lot with the same garbage rag. Then she slightly wiped two other tables with the same garbage rag, missing all the crumbs and food particles left over from previous diners. What other food sanitation violations are being committed when nobody is watching? That is why I rated their Service at Two Stars.

First off let me just say those cheese and brisket fries are off the chain. Love the sweet barbecue sauce on the chop barbecue sandwiches and the sausage is one of the best sausages I've ever tasted in San Antonio Bill Miller's has nothing on this place

Super friendly. Chef (cook) stays talking to you while your meals are made. Our first time here and will definitely be going back. I been craving brisket nachos for years now since seeing a pic of my kids with them from gorilla ice and everytime I went they were out. Finally got them from this place and not disappointed. I feel like a pregnant woman finally getting what I want. So damn good. Thanks guys! Edit: do not recommend chopped bun, the soggy rice or mashed potato salad

The brisket was not to bad. The ribs need some work. We got the same plate and had to work at peeling the well done layers off. Plus I've never had ribs that had split bones like that. I'm only sharing this in hopes the owner might read this. God bless!
