Review Osaka Japanese Steak & Sushi - San Antonio

This was my first time here. It was so awesome to see my food cooked right in front of me. The show that the chef performed was awesome as well. My co-workers and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

We wanted to try out this place for the first time and it was pretty okay. Rice in the rolls were a bit bland. Everything else was pretty good. We ordered the longhorn roll, Las Vegas roll, Viking roll, and tiger roll. The tiger roll was my hubs favorite of his two and the Las Vegas felt more flavorful than the longhorn (probably because of the eel sauce). I would try it again, but maybe try dining in instead of picking up.

Quick service, nice atmosphere, and delicious food! The sushi and soup were wonderful! Will be coming back.

Osaka Japanese Steak and Sushi is hands down the best lunch spot for ramen and bento boxes! I recently ordered the pork katsu bento box, and it exceeded my expectations. The flavors were delicious, and the presentation was impeccable. A few days later, we returned for the chicken teriyaki bento, and once again, Osaka delivered an amazing dining experience. The chicken was tender, and the teriyaki sauce had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit to try the ramen that my boyfriend raved about. The variety on the menu ensures that there's always something new to explore. One delightful surprise is the addition of three hibachi tables, each featuring an energetic chef! The hibachi experience adds a fun and interactive element to the dining experience. The chefs are skilled and entertaining, making it a perfect spot for a lively meal with friends or family. The ambiance is delightful, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Osaka Japanese Steak and Sushi has become my go-to spot for a satisfying and flavorful lunch. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality Japanese cuisine and a touch of hibachi entertainment!

The experience was decent. Service was slower then expected. I ordered the teriyaki chicken entree item and they cooked the food on the grill in front of us. Food tasted fine but could be better. Parking is available in the rear of the building. Recommendations: Use Jasmine rice. On teriyaki chicken dont over cook it. Have menus available for the party size. Overall, I enjoyed the experience more then the food and I would recommend to try for families.

Fun place for hibachi. Our chef was amazing. I celebrated my birthday there we had lots of fun.
Toni Martinez
Food was exceptional. Plentiful. Enjoyed the Chef Mike & friends.

Food was delicious and prepared. Awesome by the chef… However, maybe our waiter could be a little bit more interactive and less cut and dry… Every time we ask him for anything it would always is that all you need but with attitude or just felt like he would be bothered. Every time we asked him for something the only time he interacted with us is been one of mycolleagues complemented him on his Batman tattoo. Either way it was OK.

Always great fun, entertainment, and excellent food. Hibachi was a request for my daughter's birthday and Osaka didn't disappoint

Such a great experience here! The food and service was amazing. I ordered a box with the Broadway and Boston roll and it was delicious. I also ordered the plum sake and it was also super good! I came during lunch time with my husband and it was a great experience!
Sarah Patton-Flores
My husband and I went to dinner with another couple that recommended this place. We made reservations for a table around the grills. This was our first time and we had a great time. Our chef was so funny and entertaining! The food was delicious (especially the rice) and the plum wine was SO good. We plan to add this to our list of date night spots!
Barbara
Karolina was the waitress. She was friendly and polite. The green tea was delicious! The entrees were delicious, but the green tea ice cream was disappointing to my taste. Also, the white rice was a bit on the dry side for my taste. I would recommend the fried rice over the white rice.

TLDR: food was great, service was poor We were sat and our drink orders were taken promptly. Our waiter was maybe a little too casual and would lean against the booth, not make eye contact, only looked at the door and other tables, and didn’t acknowledge when we were listing our order. His whole cadence and demeanor was difficult to read. We ordered edamame, the nigiri deluxe, and a yellowtail roll. It came to our table quickly, all of it was delish and better than some other sushi places in town. Based on other reviews, maybe skip the hibachi, steak and chicken dishes. Go for the sushi.

The service was great. The food was okay to me. The fried rice was interesting with a strong pepper taste. It was not bad but not was I was looking for.
John
Food was great. Be aware that they only have one hibachi chief during the week. We had to wait. Miguel the chief was great.
Lu Plascencia
Restaurant itself was nice with the grills on one side, sushi bar on the other. Food was good just wanted try something simple with the fried rice with beef and chicken. Pretty good but a tad dry for me had to load up on sriracha to give it something extra. Would go and try something else though.

Super good time. The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. The flavor of all the food was exactlyhow I wanted it. Call ahead for an appointment to be sure you get a spot at the table.

Japanese Culinary Delight Right Here!

The atmosphere makes one feel as if they are in Japan when they dine here - the savory aromas and delectable food!!! You can't miss this great food! It's a bit of Japan righ here in SA!

I have eaten here many times and have always had great service; in fact, I haven't been to any other sushi restaurant in over a year. I've never had the hibachi - I'm there for the sushi, but I have always been greeted warmly. Once they were understaffed for the evening and we had to wait just a little bit because they were very busy. I know they tend to hire college kids for basic seating and service and I can imagine the call out rate around finals and summer time shenanigans.

With that said, the service has always been at minimum "to be expected given circumstances". The are always kind. The chef behind the bar I swear only speak Japanese. It's the only language he'll respond to me in. He's not rude and isn't judgmental that I am not fluent.

The food has never been "bad" and I've been eating sushi since I was young. I've had bad sushi (A-Tan) and this place has never had bad sushi. Their prices are only fair considering the atmosphere, location, and parking; but they are easy to find.
The parking does suck if you, like many Texans, have a large truck. It's doable, but it is a small lot behind the restaurant and can be a tight fit on a busy evening.

For myself and my young son, I typically spend about 40-50 dollars between soup, edamame, 2-4 different roll dishes and drinks. I've not been around for the Happy Hour yet.

I hope this helps and keep in mind there is another Osaka that I've heard is rude and has otherwise HORRIBLE service.

Came here for lunch. Atmosphere was nice. Seems clean staff friendly. I ordered the jalapeño bomb and the American ninja roll. Both were very tasty the only reason for the markdown was because I asked for the jalapeño bomb as an appetizer and it came out with my meal. That defeats the purpose of an appetizer. Other than that great place. Will come back.

Definitely underwhelming in almost every way. Sesame chicken was bland, teriyaki steak was also bland, and in fact not steak, it was glued steak. Service was inexperienced, and rude. Atmosphere was also underwhelming. Our bill was $56 for a glued teriyaki steak, sesame chicken, Gyoza (the only pleasing dish we had), 2 iced teas, and one beer. We were up charged $6 for fried rice, even though we ordered brown rice. When we brought that to the waiters attention, he told us we ordered fried and he wasn't taking it off the bill. By far the worst food we've had in SA. With 10,000 restaurants in San Antonio, and Sapporo (the best real Japanese food in the city) to compete with, don't waste your time or $$$ at Osaka.

Osaka Happy Hour M-Thr & saw on the menu they now have a weekend happy hour! Woohoo!. Just went last Monday for sushi happy hour. Yum. I got the wonderful Rainbow Roll & the Philadelphia Roll (2 for $15 or 3 for $21 also found out they have a weekend happy hour but I don't remember the prices just saw it on the menu) you can't beat that w/a stick & they were wonderful. I love their sushi happy hour. I shared my rolls w/my son since they are so huge. I believe my brother got the Broadway Roll. I tried a piece of it & will have to give that one another try. I am not sure if I like it or not. All tasted fresh & held together beautifully. Had my first Sake Bomb, it was good but I like the sake separate better. I enjoy trying different sushi places in SA but I am a repeat customer to this one over & over.

Do not order the Spicy Ramen!. It's is literately out of a package, freeze dried vegetables and all.

Social Gathering. This place is great to gather some old friends and make new ones. I love the scallops and the longhorn roll. Get for first timers or a special date night.I have not had a bad experience as if yet.

The most absolutely disgusting bathrooms I've ever encountered in a restaurant. For the amount you are paying at this restaurant, you would think they could get their bathrooms in better shape. Sooo gross!!!
Jason Jauregui
Obsessed with their happy hour.

Is there a 1/2 star or no star option?? I read some negative reviews prior to our recent dining "experience" at Osaka. Some warned against doing the Hibachi but they were old and I thought SURELY they've corrected the issues...that would be a big NEGATIVE! My family and I went this weekend and found this place to be an embarrassment when it comes to hibachi and good food service. Where do I begin? Our waitress took our drink order then disappeared, only seemed to show up to give us "bad news" (out of sea bass sushi, "do we want to wait on salads?" as they made more). When she would return, she had forgotten to bring what we asked for (chopsticks, salt/pepper, sauces, etc...my bro n law had to get up and get several things HIMSELF). Once the seemingly disgruntled chef showed up, he basically muttered things and began cooking flavorless food (didn't use butter, seasoning, anything) and basically slung the food on our plates. He actually called a "timeout" at one point to go get dipping sauces (that our waitress wasn't) after asking us who our waitress was (how the hell should we know...and why don't you?!" I kept thinking). Very umprofessional. Bottom line, service & food we're TERRIBLE for any restaurant charging $25+/plate! Might wanna step it up guys before u become another 'failed restaurant' statistic! LOTS of better choices in town...avoid. Shoguns actually beats this place hands down IMO!
Cj
Cj talk about all restaurant they got good food not Osaka if you work for restaurant you work at talk about work you work at dont put down your job food way to salty cj cook dont go there
Timothy
Food was good, however the greasy carpet is gross. Probably will not repeat.

Excellent hibachi!!. My wife, kids and I love this place!! we always go during the weekday lunchtime for the hibachi. We are never disappointed, everything is cooked as requested and have the yum yum sauce on demand. I can easily say we've eaten here more than 10 times, and they havent failed. even their new chefs that might be nervous put on a good show and great food. prices are standard, and service is great. Do NOT go to the Bandera Osaka for hibachi. We made that mistake only once. (they suck).
Jonquil
Very Nice Lunch, Haven't Been to This Osaka for Dinner. After having a very pleasant evening at the Bandera Road Osaka, I was happy to find out about this location that's closer to home. I don't mind driving over to Bandera, but it's a bit of a hike when you live in the far northeast area of S.A., and it's hard to make it over there all that often.

Saw that bento boxes were on the lunch menu, took my daughter specifically so she could try one of those, as she'd been wanting to. She's not a big sushi fan, so she got the "kitchen box" of chicken teriyaki, really enjoyed it. We also did the hibachi, which we didn't try at the Bandera location, and I was surprised that Osaka's policy allowed putting on the show for just the three of us. I'd thought that there was usually a higher minimum on the number of diners, but they didn't act as if it was anything out of the ordinary. The chef was very nice, entertaining, he didn't seem annoyed that there were only three of us, either.

I had the steak, more or less the standard for me at Japanese steakhouses. It was cooked well, very tasty. Fried rice was very good, as were the sauces. Husband had the chicken, enjoyed it as well. Didn't have any drinks of the alcohol variety, but would like to go back and check out the happy hour. And my daughter was very happy to be able to get her much-loved Ramune.

All the staff was friendly, attentive, no issues with the service. More of a "neighborhood place" feel at this location than at Bandera Road. If I lived in the neighborhood, I could see becoming a regular, but since we're a little bit of a ways away, guess we'll have to settle for semi-regular.

If you're in the mood for Japanese food, check out either Osaka location. Glad I found them both.
Megan Chavez
Very expensive, low quality sashimi. I get queezy just thinking of this place. The staff forgot about me. STAY AWAY. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

My son & I enjoyed the happy hour sushi and they have a good location & atmosphere. Nice people work there.

We loved going for the happy hour that has $2 Sapporo, 2$ Ichiban, Sake bombs and 3 rolls for $20 from a limited selection (naturally). Thr service is aleays nice, cheerful, and friendly and as quick as you can find when ordering hand made sushi. The reason we will go to Godai instead is that they stopped having the sushi on the happy hour. That was the primary reason we went and had friends join us regularly. We all agree that nigiri sushi is required to have specials for it to be a happy hour at any sushi restaurant. We hope they change back to the reason that got our neighborhood of Beacon Hill coming to them in the first place and gosh knows we lament the loss of the sushi specials. I hope they change this and post it on their features here on US & we'll return without abandon. We usually spend about $45-$60 per couple each visit with 3-6 couples so that's some lost revenue.

Alright sushi. Being that my favorite sushi is quite a distance, this will have to do for the meanwhile. A bit overpriced, and I don't know about you guys but I like my sushi cool and not warm. Seems to be the on going trend here with every sushi I've tried.
Lael Fernandez
Takes a little to get your food, but they have good lunch specials that are right around $10...been here like 5-6 times in the last 3 months

Just Okay. 30 Sep 11. We had a pretty good meal here on a Friday evening. The restaurant wasn't really busy and we were seated within a few minutes. The Osaka Chief put on a show that was quite entertaining. The food we ordered included Steak, Chicken, Shrimp, Fried Rice, and mixed vegetables. Overall the food seemed to be about average. The sauces could have been better.

Excellent Food!. This was my first Japanese Steakhouse in San Antonio (I am from Iowa, here for Military) and going here was a great choice. The food was outstanding. Went there on a Saturday night, got right in, sat down and ordered with no problems. Got some appetizers, sushi and teppenyaki food also.

The appetizers were excellent (fried dumpling) as well as the sushi which we ordered the Dragon roll with spice added. They accommodated all special requests also which was great. The main meal was excellent as well, we had an outstanding chef who talked to us, and was very personable the entire meal through. Made the meal much more enjoyable on top of the great fresh food that was made for us.

All in all, this restaurant was very good, the only downside was the prices were a little higher than most Japanese Steakhouses that I have been to, but the service was great, food was fresh and tasted great, and there were no other downsides at all.

I would recommend this place to everyone!

Sushi is not that good. I got a Ninja roll and they drowned it in the spicy mayo sauce. Completely took away from the taste of the sushi. The fish wasn't very good quality. I don't think the fish on top of the rainbow roll could have been thinner. No taste.

You'll need a To Go Box!!!. I don't know about your family, but some nights, my family suffers from serious disagreement when it comes to picking a place to go out to dinner. I'll want steak, wife'll want sushi, kids will want chicken, etc. You get the picture. And that's why we love Osaka.
Realistically, just about any mood can be accommodated here. Osaka goes the full mile to provide Sushi, Teppanyaki steak, shrimp, chicken, or lobster. You can get it grilled, fried, or steamed. And, for $3.00 more they'll make that steak a filet! (You tell that guy how you want it, and he will make it that way - cut up, not cut up, salt & pepper only, just name it. He'll do it.) Vegetables on the grill, steamed, with rice, without rice - honestly the choices and combinations of those choices are endless. And all items are fresh and made-to-order (Well, you knew that about the Teppanyaki, but the rest of the menu is too!)
Really cool & delicious appetizers (Monkey Brains & Heart Attacks - I'll let you look those up) and desserts. Awesome lunch specials, and my favorite, the 3 for $20 Happy Hour - truly the best deal in town. Huge house rolls from just about half the Sushi menu - you seriously cant beat this deal for Sushi. And they have a well rounded wine and drink menu to go with all this diversity.
The atmosphere can be a little dark, but the Hibachi grills are the reason, and this is a typical Japanese Steak house. My family thinks its warm and comfortable. All your traditional Japanese favorites are here as well, including the ever popular Bento Box.
Service here has always been fun and attentive, with Vince being my favorite. (No, he's not Japanese, but is Benihana trained and throws a mean spatula!) Prices are just a little higher than most Asian restaurants, but that's a norm for a Japanese steakhouse with this many fresh choices on the menu.
And come hungry, because that guy will just keep piling food on your plate from that awesome grill long after you're full. "Can I get a to go box, please?"

I have been to Osaka on two occasions and my experience was the same both times. Great sushi. Overpriced. Poor service. Both times we were forgotten by our server and had to flag them down every time. They weren't even that busy. Service was also very slow. No sense of urgency there. Not a problem if you don't care to lose 1.5 or 2 hrs of your life to have dinner.
UrbanFork
Our first time at Osaka. We were pleasantly surprised that they have a happy hour. Monday-Friday from 5:00-7:00, 3 rolls for $20.

Best Chef EVER!. We've been to plenty a Hibachi grill experience and the Chef at Osaka beats them all hands down. For one, he didn't look older than 20. Doesn't try to woo you with the same tricks. He actually does his own thing which is rare. He'll carry on a conversation and is really a thrill. We went for my wife's graduation and it was the best time. The food was awesome. He makes his own sauces and brought out his own stash just for us. It was awesome.

Sushi + Happy Hour = Love. New to the area & and sushi lover I have been all over San Antonio trying to find a place to call my sushi home. Call me Dorothy because this place I love and there's no place like home. M-F they have a 3 sushi roll special for $20.00 from 5-7 that include the usual soup and salad and $ 2 beer. (Party after work woo woo). The waiter was very accommodating and he got a little extra in his tip for being fast and cheerful. I got the California (to play it safe) the Ninja, and the spicy tuna. Now they couldn't ad the crunchy like I wanted to the spicy tuna but it was still a great roll. Do yourself a favor and go for a visit. Great place for a first date. Get a booth if you are not having the hibachi and enjoy the food.

We went during Happy Hour and were blown away with our rolls! Ambiance was nice, service was ok, but our sushi chef rocked!! Sit at the bar and let them amaze you!

Great food & service - weekday happy hour is fantastic. 3 rolls for $20...GOOD big fat rolls at that!!!
Lilac
Great experience every time!. I've been to Osaka (Bandera location) many times and each time the food is delicious!! Yes, sometimes the sushi doesn't come out altogether but what do you expect? It's sushi. The chef only has one set of hands; it's not like steaks where you can grill 10 of them at once. Expecting all 5 or 6 of your rolls to come out all at once is a little unreasonable. If you'd like your meal to arrive all out once, simply ask your server to hold and wait until it's all prepared. The staff is so friendly, I will definitely continue going back! Try the Super Mario!!

First Time. I ate there for the first time over the weekend and was pretty impressed. I ordered the scallops dynamite and longhorn roll. Both were good but the scallops were a bit too spicy for my taste with the Sriracha. Will come back again.

Good teriyaki beef bento box!

The TRUTH. What do I think? For one, I think dear Scott down below, has an ulterior motive (or two) for posting a review attempting to degrade Osaka for all that it's not. Let's take a look first at Scott's other reviews. It just so happens that he has reviewed competitors restaurants with practically 'outstanding' compliments.... (no, who would have thought that such deceitful attempts to gain a competitive edge were possible?)...

Yes. It is possible. Yes. There are restaurants and other companies that intentionally disguise themselves as a customer and leave bad reviews about their competitors just to have a half-brained attempt at gaining a single piece of business or two over their competitor. Yes. There are also people (very similarly too Scott here) who go around and offer a business a deal, in which he gets food for free or greatly discounted and in return leaves bad reviews for one of their competitors.

Again. Let's take a look at his reviews. Is Scott eating at 2 restaurants at once? Apparently he went to both Tong's Thai and Osaka in one night. But why isn't he leaving anymore reviews of other restaurants now? Did he just hit up Tong Thai and Osaka simultaneously and leave it at that? Is his career as a well-rounded food critic over? Why was he at a mexican restaurant and the back lounge area of Tong's Thai in the same night too?

Does Scott understand the idea of a "themed restaurant?" Places like Benihana of course fit that mold. But the restaurant is name OSAKA. As in Osaka, Japan. So, I don't think you're going to enter into a restaurant named Osaka and have a menu and experience that caters to cheeseburger lovers. At Osaka you get the best Hibachi-style dining experience.

And Scott ragging on the staff as "more interested in singing Japanese birthday songs to tables celebrating such events rather focusing on the majority of customers ".... I didn't know it took 30 minutes to sing some fun and happy customers a birthday song.... Well. In that case, because the caring and fun wait staff takes 45 seconds of their time to focus on singing happy birthday to a happy customer, maybe we should tell them to not be so darn nice and sweet and take that 45 seconds to do something else. Problem fixed. When Scott dines at Osaka (if he even did the first time) no Happy Birthday songs in Japanese because that 45 seconds of making a customer happy and the environment more lively (coincidentally, just like MANY other restaurants do to make their customers happy) can be more productive with some other use... like serving Scott some water to go with his sour-tarts.

What else did Scott say.... oh yes, " Tasteless sashimi. The tempura squid appetizer was made from out of the bag frozen squid." Hm... I wonder how Ninja Scott made it all the way into the restaurants kitchen to gain this specific, but inaccurate knowledge about the frozen in-a-bag-squid? And sashimi being tasteless... does he know what sashimi is in the first place? It's raw seafood. It's typically an acquired taste for many. And according to those who can appreciate it's taste, they are able to distinguish Osaka's as being highly worthy of great acclaim. I doubt Scott has the sophistication of knowing the difference between tasteless and tasteful sashimi.

There's too many oddities for someone to take this guy serious. He's obviously not credible. And he's obviously got an ulterior motive. And of course he's "never going to go again" because he probably didn't go the first time he left his diluted review.

Maybe someone can pat Tong's Thai on the back or give them a high-five for allowing themselves or someone else to deceive customers into missing out on a truly great opportunity to dine at an incredible place like Osaka.

If anyone is familiar with local PROFESSIONAL food critics and magazines, you'll have surely come across on more than one occasion, a few articles on Osaka and it's great environment and great food. If anyone is familiar with actual real customers that have been to Osaka, you'll hear pretty much the same thing. The food is great. Prepared immaculately. The environment is great. Extremely easy going and fun. The staff is awesome. Very friendly. (If you don't like being happy, then you won't like this place).

Personally, I have been to Osaka MANY, MANY times and each time the experience is exactly on par with extremely friendly staff and a very nice, engaging and fun environment. Each time that I've been to Osaka there seems to be usuals at the sushi bar laughing up a storm with one of the sushi chef's, or a family or group of friends at one of the Hibachi grills being entertained by one of the funny, talented and skillfully trained Hibachi chef's. If you're looking for a date night or something less entertaining and more relaxing, you don't have to go the Hibachi route. You can always seat at a booth and enjoy a relaxed dining experience. Or you can sit at the sushi bar and eat sushi like a kid that just received the key to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

Osaka really is a great environment. Being one of the MANY usuals that spend a lot of time there, I feel like it's family. I know people leave happy.

My favorite place for sushi!!. Go there and see Kasey and June!! They keep it fresh!! Try the South West roll to share and go crazy, whatever they prepare will be outstanding! Great service th& best sushi variety! The sushi gem of Alamo Heights!

Don't Bother. Just got back home from Osaka. What a disaster. Another "theme restaurant" so typical of San Antonio. Rather than concentrating on the menu, focused on the faux Japanese hype with all the cheesy schtick of Benihana--but not as good. Two restautants in one. Loud, obnoxious group grill and traditional sit down. Neither one impressive. Sophomoric wait staff more interested in singing "Japanese" birthday songs to tables celebrating such events rather focusing on the majority of customers. Tasteless sashimi. The tempura squid appetizer was made from out of the bag frozen squid. Total disappointment. Will never go again.
KMorgon
The food was good but the service was awful. We were a party of 4 and all we had was the sushi. We each ordered 2 rolls and 2 people got both of their plates right away. They had completely finished their food even after waiting a few minutes to see if ours were coming soon, before we were served. When we did get something, it was only one roll. Ten minutes later I got mine. Then we had to ask about the last plate only to be told they were out of that one! I guess he wasn't planning on letting us know? Who does that?!! And my final disappointment is that they serve an endangered species on their menu (blue fin tuna) Not Cool. This place isn't worth the trip - if you can even find it because there isn't even a permanent sign with their name on it.
Priscilla
Best veggie tempura and spider rolls ever. Try the pokey! ;)
Daniel
Very enjoyable experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was great and cooked well. Price was comparable to other sushi and teppanyaki places and reasonable. Planning to go back again!

Wonderfully Hot-Succulent Grilled Meats. The mood of Osaka was cool & dark, yet fun & inviting.
My friends and I all asked for a Teppanyaki table (we were more intrigued by the "steak" aspect of the restaurant's title.)
After a good look at out menus to decide, (we were waited on hand-and-foot during the whole dinner by the friendly waiter) our appetizers came out.
We had the tofu tempura, chicken tempura, and the fried gyoza (two of which you can see in the photos I've uploaded); all of it was simply divine (I especially liked the tofu.) The sauce accompaniments added to the appetizers wonderfully.
Our cook came to the table and greeted us warmly, firing up the surface (very literally) to start the show. He performed several tricks such as the classic onion Fuji volcano as well as an egg toss. The food is cooked for you in a course-like feel, as it is all skillfully made with care. First, you receive two sauces for your meats or veggies. Secondly, you have short-grained Japanese fried rice (or steamed, if you'd prefer) tossed and lightly fried, then served in generous bowls. The vegetables are sauteed with a light savory sauce, the chicken and fish items (again, depending on what each individual orders) are prepared (and ofttimes a sample is given to each member of the table); followed by the robust steaks cooked especially to your order.
Both the chicken and steak I had were seared and impeccably succulent & juicy. The entire meal was very satisfying and filling, and the atmosphere relaxing. Really a good show!

I went here yesterday, and I have to say, I loved it. I had the shrimp teppanyaki, and damn, it was amazing.
Shane
Very good food and not to expensive. Hibachi was so good and you get alot of food. Definetly will go back. Fun place to go with alot of friends.
Daemisus Bane
Sushi was great, but restaurant should have been listed at least under $$$ instead of just $ as prices were higher them average.
Tnia
Yum!. Sushi was delicious! Probably the best rainbow roll I've had in all the sushi places i've eaten in San Antonio. Edamame was less to be desired though. But fun atmosphere and the service was very friendly.
Kretrail
Osaka is great! If you like spicy get the spicy chicken. Wow! Us all I can say. Staff is extremly polite.

Happy hour seems like a good idea but it's a complete let down. Boo.

It rocks! Love it!!

KASEY IS AMAZING!!!. I LOVE OSAKA!!! Go to the location off Bandera and 1604 and ask for Kasey! He is an amazing sushi chef! Very creative and friendly. Everything he make is wonderful! The Sashimi lunch special is a great deal! Try the homeless role and the flaming seabass (amazing presentation when made by Kasey)!
Luc
Wow!!! I love sushi so much and this place Is off the sheezy!!! The sushi bento box with spicy tuna rolls and shrimp tempura rolls is a go for launch!!! The only thing I didn't like about it was that it took forever to get the food!!! But overall, that place was the bomb!!! I definately recommend of to anybody that appreciates Japanese food. PEACE!!!
