Taqueria Lago De Chapala Jalisco

One of our favorite inexpensive places to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their weekend pozole special is a must for anyone who loves pozole! I have never had a bad meal here and have tried most of the menu items. My husband and I affectionately call it “our favorite” Mexican restaurant as we have eaten here for almost 10 years. Definitely give it a try if you’re in the area!

The food was so good. I had the parrillada combo plate and Mama had the fajita taco salad. The charro beans were delicious with chunks of pork rine and the salsa for the tostadas was just perfect! The tortillas were fresh, which is what I love. The place was a bit crowded, but the service was good. We went at rush hour on a Saturday. The prices for the meals were reasonable.

Randomly stopped at this Mexican restaurant, we found it cute, homey and cozy. It was clean, busy but with plenty of seating. Food was good & the waitresses were polite and quick to take the order and serve. A trio of young kids were allowed to come in a play a few songs for donations, I thought it was very nice of the establishment to allow them for that short time to play.

2022.10.09 Food was great.. Fajitas Flameados...Enchiladas con guisada...Salsa Verde, Guisada with cheese taco. All great....our server Carlos was amazing... 2023.06.10 Second time. Had the puffy Taco plate with picadillo carne guisada with cheddar cheese 🔥, Beef fajita quesadilla 🔥, rice and beans were delicious. Server Pancho was excellent. Complimentary chips came with salsa and queso 🔥 the red salsa is the hot one (my preference). My wife had the Mexican plate with cheese enchiladas in a crispy taco with picadillo. I'm not sure if she liked it when I turned around the plate was empty. JK. 🔥 The place is decorated really nicely all the booths have unique murals painted on them, they look really cool. The menus also have pictures which is really nice 👍Drive thru coming soon.
