Ray's Pizzaria N.y. Style Pizza

This is the only place I get my pizza from since My Wife and I found it by luck a few years ago all the other pizza places in San Antonio are not even in the same league as Rays and I usually don't like sweets at all but their Gelato and Pizza is the best thing that has ever been introduced into these modern times. Also the staff are always nice and accommodating and have never gotten My Wife or Family's orders wrong if u love pizza this is the place u definitely have to visit

Hands down the BEST NY style pizza place. I order my slice well done all the time, I love that charred crust. I'm glad they offer the combo daily. Aside from the delicious food, there's the mediocre service. It reminds me of the same service and attitude you would get in NYC. I'll be back again. Come check them out for yourself!

Ray's Pizza and Gelato is located at 5252 Fredericksburg Road with easy access to a lengthy strip mall parking lot serving other small businesses. If your GPS has you turning early at other intersections, like ours did, do not trust it. Ray's is an easily findable restaurant on Fredericksburg Road alone. My son requested our family to take him to Ray's Pizza to celebrate his birthday. He loves it. Now, the restaurant furnishings and environment are not anything special. It's more of a mom and pop eatery; tables can be arranged to accommodate different numbers of customers at anytime. It's a great place to go to watch sports because there are at least eight big screen television screens on walls. (I would have preferred at least an Italian painting or statue or two, but I would be too busy inhaling Chicken Parmesan Stromboli to notice.) In addition to Chicken Parmesan Stromboli, our party ordered Penne Polo, Eggplant 🍆 Parmigiana and Calzone with Mozzarella, Mambo Sauce & Jalepeno. We also had an order of large, flavorful garlic mushrooms. I cannot comment on their New York Style Pizza, but it certainly looked appealing. Ray's serves Chicken Wings, a Kids Menu, cold subs, Parm subs, cheesesteaks, desserts, and of course, 24 flavors of Gelato from $4.99 for one scoop to $6.99 for three scoops. Daily Lunch Specials are Monday through Friday ranging from $9.95 to $11.95, including a drink. I've included shots of Ray's menu and prices with this review. I'm looking forward to trying as much as possible with restraint.

I went in here to pick up something real quick on my way home from the gym and got a meatball sub. I was not disappointed. I hadn't been here in a while. The cheesecake look crazy if you just want to go somewhere for dessert and don't feel like going to a busy restaurant. Check out the pics. The pizza rolls were also delicious!

Lemme help yah unda-stand… Listen, l'm from New York and I know how hard it is to get "NY Style" pizza this far south. I'm happy to report this place was exactly what I was looking for. Very thin, crispy crust with an over abundance of cheese and less-overpowering robust pizza sauce. This place hit the spot! I was pleasantly surprised and you will be too! Yummm

Got the large cheese pizza to split with my son. My wife had the shrimp Alfredo pasta. The pizza is really great, nice tangy sauce with a good cheese. This is my first whole pizza cause honestly the slices for lunch are better. For lunch they are reheated get crispy on the bottom- so I take it home a crisp up the bottom myself. The Alfredo was delicious and garlicky. My new family pizza night place.
