1st time there had some great food and a fantastic time. Tables were reasonable drinks were reasonable. Our ONLY issue was security for the tables and keeping people out of the way. If I pay for a table I do it so I don't have people standing in front of me. Especially wth their arms up and blocking my view.
Really good brisket! BBQ sauce was a very tasty compliment to the meal. Yes, the prices are above average, but the taste and the atmosphere make up the difference.
There is no indoor seating, but once the sun goes down, this place is awesome! Plenty of tables and a stage for live entertainment.
We visited in the middle of the day and they do provide plenty of water misted fans and a portable swamp cooler. Most of the tables are shaded.
I will definitely visit again... and will plan it after the sun goes down.
The food was good. The atmosphere is nice TVs to watch sports lots of room. It’s more of a self-service kind of restaurant you go up to the bar in order and you go into the smokehouse to order and pick up your food. Picnic tables outside to eat.
It's a good place to eat! I just wish there was more food for the price. The dishes were tasty, especially the beans and Mac and cheese. The staff was super friendly too. Give it a try!
Good place! Walking distance to the hotel! Wish it was more for the price. Food was good. Beans were Great The Mac and cheese, too! Staff is super friendly! Go get you some!
We walked here from the rockbox around 4pm on a Thursday and walked right passed the entrance because it says skylinebar 🤣 oops There was one other table (that wasn't employees) here and plenty of seats in the shade as well as misters, TVs, a whole vibe at night I'm sure. The staff was friendly and welcoming when we entered THE MEAT HALL 🤤
I'm from the BBQ capital and This menu offers all the classics and for some reason I went with the brisket Mac and cheese. It was 13$ or 14$ I believe.
For me, the Mac and cheese alone had what seemed like a lot of garlic powder? The cheese was creamy and the noodles done just right but the flavor threw me off. It wasn't bad just different and overpowering when not eaten with the brisket to even it out. if you are an adventurous eater you'll probably love it! Over all the brisket was delicious and rich but the sauce wasn't up our alley either, more sweet than what we are used to. Our chicken was smokey but on the dry side. Pickles were bomb as always.
Our Bartender was friendly AF and The watermelon boost he made me was the star of the show! I should of ordered 3 and got a brisket taco for 5$ for what I paid for the Mac and cheese and side of potato salad (20$) 😭 will definitely be back when we return to the rock box for shows! Thanks for a great time and new experience.
Our first night in town and a great way to start it off! Chopped brisket was sooo good! I enjoyed it on a sandwich as well as a taco and loved them both. Also recommend the Mac and cheese as well as the creamed corn.
Fun outdoor dining space, with live bands playing with a cover charge later at night.
I loved this place. We had such a great time seeing Jay Perez. We had front row seats, and it was so much fun! We will definitely be doing it again for another concert.
I also had a few tacos from their BBQ spot. They had some pretty good flavor but are kind of pricey. For one taco, it is about $5.

All you can eat Sunday brunch is awesome lots of food and can add on quarter pound of meat 6$. Special for military is even better. Waffles, beans, chicken and potato salad is smoking. Gracie R. and staff very polite and professional, they recommended frozen drinks liked them very much. Stop by.
Food is great. Drinks are flowing. Prices are beyond reasonable. Atmosphere is rocking. If your a local or tourist this is the place to visit while in San Antonio. Also, I met the owners and phenomenal group of people as well. I will be back.
