Recommended by a friend who immigrated from India, we drove 90 minutes to find this out-of-the-way restaurant. It was worth it. This is definitely the best Indian restaurant in the San Antonio area.
Since their website talks about their menu being from northern India, I wasn't sure as my favorite dishes are from south India -- but I wasn't disappointed. The buffet includes Indian dishes from various regions. And, they are all well prepared.
The buffet selection was diverse and includes both vegetarian and various meats. This place is well worth the drive.
Lastly, we need to support these small, family owned businesses. They are a gift to our community.
Everything that we ordered was really good. The lady that was our waitress had really good timing, she didn't over or under do it coming to our table. I recommend it and I'm sure we'll be going back.
This is an Indian buffet that has a ton of vegan options!! I came here with my friends who have no dietary restrictions because of their large amount of vegan items! Not only is it a large buffet with lots of kinds of food but everything is labelled well with signs so you know what is vegan! The food was so good! I wish it wasn't so far from my home because I want to go eat here every day!!
Went on a Sunday afternoon. They had a buffet that had alot of options along with 3 desserts and salad. I ordered the Karahi chicken and the garlic nan bread was a hut. Ambience isn't all that, esp for being in stone oak. Staff very friendly!
If you are looking for a highly authentic experience. Then I would like to highly recommend this restaurant. I order the palace dinner for one with khir. It is large enough for two. The flavors are amazing. The aroma of the rice is truly incredible. It’s a hidden gem here in the Northern part of San Antonio.
I absolutely loved the food, the atmosphere, and the service. You could smell the food as you pulled into the parking lot. That is always a great sign. And they were very friendly. Large portions. The lentil soup was like a warm hug. The garlic naan was perfect. The chicken oh man, didn’t lack flavor at all. I will be back!
Every other time I’ve been here I got the buffet and it’s always excellent. This time the buffet was closed so I got the palace dinner for one and asked them to make it as spicy as possible. It was so good. Stop reading reviews and just go there.
Wow! If you don’t find something on the lunch buffet you like, you don’t like Indian food. For a buffet, everything was excellent. They bring fresh nan to each table. As you walk in the refreshing scent of, I think sandalwood, incense is present.
Service is excellent as are the real plates, metal silverware, and real cloth napkins. I always eat way too much here, just can not help it, the food is that good.
If I had any complaint it would be the Tandor Chicken, it was still very good, but for some reason it was not of the same high quality of the rest of the buffet. Might be just me? All this food for less than $12, quite a deal for lunch.
This restaurant rates 5 out of 5 to me. I feel it’s the best I’m San Antonio . Well done!
Above average food and all dishes were not authentic Indian but taste is good.
They have buffet on Friday when I have been there.
Yummy! This establishment is vegan friendly, so they use coconut milk instead of whole milk. I had the buffet. It really made all the flavors pop.
