We have come to this location several times but during this last visit, we we're very impressed. The service by Jakob, our waiter, was outstanding. He was very friendly, immediately took our order and was attentive to our needs during our meal. He came by with refills to our drinks just before we needed them, also refilled our chips when needed. We didn't need to ask for much at all as he was already on top of it.
The food is always pretty good at this location and with the service being extra good this time, the food was hot when served and made it that much better. Much credit goes to Jakob for the incredible service we received today.
Most of these dishes were very good. The baked potato was small by postmodern restaurant standards, but was certainly enough to satisfy. I got a small dish of butter, sour cream and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese; these too were in sufficient quantities. I might have wished for more sour cream, and more cheese, but I know I didn't need them, and was satisfied with what was there. The green beans were cut in short segments and had been seasoned with a sprinkle of sugar, giving them a pleasant sweet character that I seldom have tasted. Most often, green beans in restaurants are kept on the heat in large batches, and end up being mushy. These, though, retained enough crispness to please. The broccoli was steamed with perhaps a spritz of olive oil, giving them and excellent flavour to go with their perfect crispness. They were florets cut from the stem, so I felt I was getting only the best parts of the plant.

Great family vaule. My 6 year old and 13 year old love to go here. The chicken tenders are always great and the servings are large. Not that we need a lot of food but we always have left overs. We love how we can take our family of 4 for only $40.00. We have gone countless times and our of all the times we have gone, I have to be honest twice we have had bad service but they made it right.
We also love that we can invite and pay for my in laws whom we love to spend time with, again for a great value of about $65. Thanks Cheddars!!
Wow! Loved It!!. We decided to check this place out. Caesar salad the best I've ever had. Had Steak and Chicken strips entree. EXCELLENT. Portions big, prices lower than Chili's. Slightly upscale "Chili's" vibe, but better food in my opinion. Place was ABSOLUTELY PACKED on a Saturday nite, but we got seated really fast. Wife had the braised beef roast. She said it was very good. Place was good enough for us to make a repeat trip for lunch two days later. I had the "Adult Grilled Cheese", pretty decent. Wife had grilled salmon and said it was the best she's ever had. I am clueless as to why other diners said they didn't like it. We had awesome food. Thinking about going back tonight!
Good Cheap food and drinks! What's not to like? This is not a fine dining restaurant. That's why is called Cheddar's CASUAL cafe. You get what you pay for.
Great food, large servings, pleasant servers, and great decor at decent prices. We went twice during a long weekend in San Antonio for a golf tournament.
Checked in on Sunday for lunch and luckily it was early enough before the crowds came. It looks like a big restaurant from outside but once you get in, its not so big. So tables fill up quick and by the time we finished it was standing room only in the waiting area and outside. Well since the only place that ever had a decent Monte Cristo sandwich closed here in SA, I had to try it here. I must say it was very good. We had a variety of entrees and the prices are fairly good, but the only thing that would keep me going back would be the monte cristo.
Good food for a great price.. We waited for 45 min on Saturday. The wait was worth it because we really enjoyed the food and service. The chicken tenders were moist and crispy. The ribs were pretty good. Will come back again for their chicken tenders!
Enjoyable experience. Cheddar's was my mom's choice for her birthday lunch, and I am sure glad that we went. As soon as we walked in the door I was pleased. It was clean and nicely decorated. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We started with the spinach dip and a round of beers. What was great is that you can get a pint for $2.99. I had the chicken pot pie, my husband had the ribs, and my mom had the lemon pepper chicken. We all loved our meals and could not have asked for more. For the amount and quality of food you receive, the prices are wonderful. We were all so full that we did not get dessert, but next time I will try and save room!
The ribs weren’t tender the broccoli and cheese was parched as if it were overcooked. The T-bone steak was mediocre, wasn’t cooked correctly.
The shrimp were decent. But the croissants were hot and fresh and always delicious! I’ll stick to the Monte’Crisco. Service was decent!
We have been to other Cheddar restaurants and have had good experiences.
This was our first time visiting together while traveling.
The food was delicious! My drink was excellent! The waitress was excellent! When we thanked her for the great service, she said she had only been a waitress for 3 weeks. She was awesome!
Came here because we couldn't get into another restaurant on a Sunday. This was my first time ever at a cheddars.
We had a short wait and whole we waited my coworkers were ranting and raving about the tasty crossiants.
Nothing like getting some hot tasty free carbs! They were delicious and extra fluffy.
I was a tad sad they didn't have a vegetarian option other than sides galore.
Drink galore for a good time.
Our server was very nice.
Came here two night back to back to order take out and have a beer while I wait. First night was a little quicker but second night seemed like the bartender was in over his head a bit. I ordered quick and simple to go orders but had to ask him to put my order in while he simply forgot about me while he was pouring beers. Service was over all okay but they need some more help if they’re going to be busy enough to forgot some of us at the bar. Will come again as the food was good.
Andres (manager?) was awesome. He greeted us at the door, helped us get a bigger, more comfortable table and checked on us throughout the meal, friendly without being intrusive. our server was Alex and while he was polite, seemed new and unfamiliar, but willing to learn. the food was delicious and had good portion sizes. the margaritas had a tad bit too much ice but were flavorsome. parking was adequate. would recommend and return.
This location did not disappoint. Everything was delicious! I ordered the cornmeal white fish platter. 😋😋
Really enjoyed my experience here. I was looking to enjoy a salad close to home and man it was delicious! Walking in was quick on a Sunday evening and our waitress was incredible. No long wait time and clean restrooms! (That's a must) My family and I frequent another location but, this location was really impressive. We will definitely return! 👍
2nd time eating here and I have to say the food and experience was fantastic!! Our sever was very very kind and brought everything out on time. Even when I was low on tea I didn’t even have to ask for refills, he brought it out every time! When the food finally arrived Mm-mm taste delicious 10/10 for-sure. Also I believe he’s the manager of the store idk but, there was a man who went to every table and asked how our food was and the experience was and that’s awesome. Not many managers do that and I like the fact he did that. I highly suggest coming here for dinner or lunch! Can’t wait to come again 👍🏻👍🏻
Light were a little dim, but our waiter was fantastic, full of personality AND competence, our food was delicious, nobody had any complaints.. out of a table of six, there were literally no mistakes. Love this place, loved our waiter!

The ambiance is nice, I wasn’t really expecting much from this place but It’s good for people who want to get the most out of their money type of place. Huge servings but expect fast food quality of food. It’s called a “scratch” kitchen but it feels like they just microwaved everything. I had the buffalo wrap, flavorful, I just don’t like deli chicken. Good selection of cocktails and drinks. Pricing was good so ill give it 4 Stars.
The food came cold and the server didn’t pay attention to the fact that his finger is in my mashed potato but all good 👍 I’m not scared of a little germ in me just really hope he washed his hands 🙌 V
The manager is very personable and assures you of good service. The service was fast, overall if you’re a foodie and want to try things that San Antonio has to offer, just skip this one.
