My experience at Chunky’s burger is always great! Kayna and Austin helped me decide on a burger that would fit my taste. I had the Zipper burger and it was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had since I can remember. I will definitely continue to come back and support this small business!
The Last Real Foodie
I recommend the Tejas burger. It came out fresh and was a good sized burger. Beware, as the menu prices are not accurate when ordering. My burger on the menu was $10.69, but after ordering, it came out to be a whopping $14+! No fries, or drink. According to my wife, there was a notice in the store, but I don't think the restaurant is doing enough to let people know in my opinion.
Overall, I enjoyed my burger, but not enough to dish out nearly 15$.

The service was fantastic! The chili cheese fries were on point and the burger selections are so hard to choose. Finally decided and was not disappointed. Will be back to try the other options!

Burgers are very delicious. It can become a bit pricey simply because fries and drinks are charged separately. I ordered the Ghost Pepper burger and garlic parmesan fries. The burger, even though having a bite to it, was surprisingly still very flavorful. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I highly recommend adding Chunkys to your places to visit in the San Antonio area.

The person that took our order was awesome!!! He welcome us as soon as we came in. He had welcoming smile. Very conversational and remarkable customer service. After we got our meal, the service continued. Another employee (young lady) came by and asked us if we were doing okay. If we needed anything else. Thank you for making our dinner after work, amazing.

Best burgers we have EVER had! The meat was delicious, the bread was perfect for the burger. Super friendly staff. Just an overall great place to stop for lunch with the family

Love the atmosphere very chill laid back and fun :) the burger tho ..guys !! These burgers are no joke .no they didn’t ask me what cheese I wanted ! No they didn’t ask me how to make it ! They just did it ! And it was the best tasting burger I’ve ever had :) I would go back again and again .homemade juicy and so amazingly tender .promote the cooks they are gifted lol :)

You will not be disappointed the burger is massive n delight just a good ol homemade burger the chocolate shake was a big size n yummy French fries were great I also ordered the fried mushrooms with gravy and they were divine definitely give it a try 10/10 will definitely become a regular

The food, service, employees and atmosphere is phenomenal.
It's usually my Friday night hangout with friends and we close the place down.
Always a great time! Austin and all the staff are so awesome and entertaining.
It's also great seeing families enjoying themselves. Karaoke is always fun and a must!

Had driven by and seen this place so I decide to try it ordered a cheeseburger and fries a chocolate shake and fried mushrooms with gravy. The burger is massive and delicious the fries as well the shakes are hands spun and amazing the fried mushrooms were divine definitely try Chunkys out you will not be disappointed

The hickory burger is messy, but very good. It was the main reason I tried this place. Happy I did. The fries were lacking. They were too plain and definitely needed salt.

First time visiting Chunky's, and they did not disappoint!
Started with the amazingly soft and gooey cheese sticks. They were perfect because of the thin, crispy coating. I have never had a cheese stick where I was able to squeeze the cheese right out. It paired well with the marinara sauce. The onion rings were similar and not too much breading. I was slightly disappointed because they did not have the 'Ghost' or '4 Horseman' burger. *No ghost pepper available*. They are known for their spicy burger challenge. I loved watching Man v Food and wanted to give the 25 min a go! They were also out of the habanero sauce that goes on the Horseman, but I was able to get a side of their BBQ sauce. It was nice and had a good spice to it.
I settled for the 'Monterrey' burger, and it was big two hander! It comes with ham and guacamole, which made it a belly stuffer!
Overall, it was a nice atmosphere inside, a great outside patio for a cool day, and great food! I definitely will be back to take on that SPICY burger challenge! 🍔
*4 stars, but I will update if I get that burger* 😆

First time I went was on Biker Wednesday. No, not like the bicycle kind, the motorcycle kind. They had live music that was good and varied, if u like SA style rock.
Food tastes like something you'd find at a good backyard BBQ. It's a lil smokey inside due to lack of windows and there's a Spicey Burger Challenge that gets your face on the Wall of Flame.
Avoid the mushrooms, they're frozen and prepackaged. But everything else was pretty dang good.

I love Chunky's Burgers. Their fries and tots are excellent. Their burgers and brisket are deliciously amazing. You can eat inside, outside, or get your order to go. Everyone who works here is always friendly, patient, and helpful. I have only good things to say about this restaurant.

We normally order their friend mushrooms by calling in and placing the order to go. There have been a few times we dined at the location and the atmosphere is excellent. They have live music on certain days. The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating for our requests. Sometimes, my wife and I are picky.
