Review Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. - San Antonio

My husband and I had a family date. This was our first time there. We loved it!! The food was so good and the drinks were delicious. I love how you can take home your glass on certain drinks you order. We will definitely be back.

My dish was plated exquisitely which shows how much care they put into the food here. The fish and shrimp were both executed perfectly and the sides were just as good as the entrees. Their Cocktail Menu has something for everyone and the gift shop is great! Parking is above on street level, the doors are locked uptop so you will have to enter on the Riverwalk. I would come back in a heartbeat!

On 7/2_23, that was my first time eating there. And for the first time in a very long time, I can honestly say that I had absolutely nothing for wrong! Food came out fresh and hot. Our server was funny, attentive, and personable. The food was delicious 😋. Even my finicky son and grandson enjoyed their food. We definitely need one here in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

Because this restaurant is on the Riverwalk, be prepared to pay for parking and then finding your way to the restaurant. Once we finally walked down to the restaurant, the Maître d' made sure we knew where our large party was seated. The restaurant was very accommodating because earlier, we had to push back our original reservation time. When we arrived, there were 2 people serving as Waitress/Waiter. The young lady had my table & the young man had the other table. From my perspective, it seemed like the young man was more pleasant than the young lady. I almost wish we could have switched. She was rude. It felt like she did not want to serve us. Our party arrived at different times because of the difficulty parking in Downtown San Antonio. I finally got to order my drink. I saw the Icee machine walking in, so I got 1. She upsold me the collector's cup. We then ordered the Run Across America Sampler Grilled Shrimp, Mama Blue's Fried Shrimp, Seafood Hush Pups, Spicy Chicken Strips & Bubba's Far Out Dip & homemade Tortilla Chips. Some of the chicken strips were overcooked. I then ordered my next course of Old Fashioned New England Clam Chowder Rich & creamy, filled with tender Clams & Potatoes. It was great! Next, I had Maker's Mark Glazed Salmon Flame-grilled, perfectly seasoned, basted with our own Maker's Mark Bourbon sauce, served with Fresh Steamed Broccoli & Jasmine Rice. Everything was good but a little bit salty. Because of the sour service of the waitress, we did not order dessert. If you go, I would not suggest going with a large party.

Whole family went to BGSC, as I'm sure all the cool kids call it. Or at least the lazy kids like me. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious. Lots of tasty potent potables on the menu. We came early and got a great seat outdoors right at the edge of the riverwalk, which was just lovely. It's the sort of place where you know exactly what you're getting yourself into and we enjoyed every bit of it. We all enjoyed it!

My wife and I had a great dining experience at Bubba Gump on the Riverwalk. The food was absolutely delicious. This was our first time here in San Antonio, we definitely enjoyed ourselves. The Purple Haze drink was delicious. The 12 oz ribeye was cooked perfectly and the grilled shrimp was as well. Very good. 👌

Amazing client service, We ordered some non-alcohol cocktails, some jambalaya, the fish and shrimp 🍤 platter, steamed broccoli, key lime pie, and a box of chocolates. They have great memorabilia from the movie... You will be spending an average of 50 to 75 dollars per person at this place but is worth it just for the experience. We ❤️ love it.

We loved it. Food was great and drinks were great. Our servicer/waitress was great. She was helpful , fun to be around and great attitude. Her name was Dahlia. (That's what was on the recipt) We had to sing in for a table on a busy Friday night. We were told 1 hour to 1.5 hours. And 40 minutes later a table was ready. We enjoyed our dinner and prices were good.

Great place to have a couple of drinks and maybe something to eat before going to a concert at the Beautiful Majestic Theatre or just walking around enjoying the holiday Christmas lights.

I got the shrimpers heaven and it was so delicious I loved it. The kids meals come in little boats it's pretty cool they gave us some to take home. We ate outside and it was nice and clean. The staff were really nice and our waitress gave us some forest gump trivia. She was on top of our drinks as well and you can flip the sign in the table to let them know you need something. The food came out pretty quick and there was no mistakes. The bathrooms were nice and clean the music was kinda loud in the bathrooms though. It was right on the river so that was nice. I do recommend coming here it was tasty.

I would like to thank Robin for great service, first time at Bubba Guam and I was impressed with the service and the quality of the food; I will definitely back next time I am visiting San Antonio. Commend 110% to any one looking for a good place to eat.

I enjoyed my stop at Bubba Gump Shrimp in San Antonio. The food tasted good, though I would say somewhat overpriced. This is to be expected though. The service was really good and the location on the River Walk is great. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that, when I visited, the outdoor seating along the river had plastic sheeting hung up. I'm assuming this was to prevent birds from flying in, but it really takes away from the atmosphere. It is still a great place to eat on the River Walk.

Food is so delicious, and you get to eat right in front of the riverwalk. Great service also from the staff.

The best Hush puppies and salmon I have ever had! We actually chose to eat there 3 times during the few days we were in San Antonio!

First time visitors from Fort Worth tx, visiting in austin for the pantera/ Lamb of god tour n had to try the place out n loved the environment. Very good food, and can't wait to comeback again when I can. Thanks

Service was great, waitress was very good at her job. Great atmosphere out on the river. Calamari was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the chicken bacon burger but the chicken was not seasoned well, and the kids meal is the cutest. Over all great experience

We enjoyed dinner here after watching the nutcracker at the majestic theater. We were familiar with the restaurant because years back we had visited the Galveston location. We like seafood. The stuffed shrimp was delicious. The hushpuppies are good too, they are stuffed with other ingredients too. Our waitress was so fun and on point. We also played Forrest Gump trivia. I would say overall, good food, good atmosphere, fun employees.

Definitely won’t be returning to this location. We have been to the one in Galveston and were pretty excited to have one here but our visit was such a let down. We were sat and had to wait about 15 min to get a server to take our drink order waited about another 15 to actually get the drinks. Once we received our order the plates were scolding hot yet the shrimp was cold and the fries were hard and stale. Tried about 2 times to flag down a manager but non seemed to notice us and the server said that the manager was not currently available although we clearly saw there was at least 3 walking around. Saw many servers just standing around chatting so there was really no excuse for there not to be helpers or runners to avoid such long wait time for drinks and cold food.

This is the third one we’ve been to. Always always great service great food but this one is the best one only because it’s in SA. BABY!!!! �

It was good for the grand opening. It's a bit pricey, but it's located on the Riverwalk so it's to be expected. Loved the inside set up with all the movie references, and movie memorabilia for sale. Food very good, will be going again soon

It’s ok. Food was not fabulous. Mine was seriously bland and my friend got a burnt burger. Waiter was really nice and attentive and did a great job but it’s just an overpriced tourist trap really
