Wow! Air conditioned dog-friendly patio and excellent vegan Tex-Mex with outstanding customer service. Had the nachos and enchiladas. Staff even brought a water bowl for the pups. Love it! Highly recommend.

The best! This time we tried their kombucha. It is bottled like wine! The best I have ever tasted. The spinach/kale enchiladas and the beet salad were so tasty. I love the subtle hints of jalapeno without having my tongue being roasted! Jo

Any negative ideas you have about vegetarian Mexican food, throw them out. This place will make you question if it's really vegetarian! Beautiful atmosphere, super helpful and patient hosts, but out of this world food. I've had soup, enchiladas, tacos, nachos and they've all been better than anything I've had at a "normal" Mexican restaurant. Overall, this place is something not to cross off just because you're scared or biased by the vegetables instead of meat. Let your fears go, order the bbq tacos, try the salsa and I guarantee you won't leave with an empty stomach.

Great presentation and menu options. We had trouble deciding which items to order. They had unique nachos that were very tasty. Bring cash, they charge extra for credit cards. Park and enter in the back.

Ok, folks, I fell down on the job and forgot to take photos of the food. But I included photos of the place itself. I have to say that I have driven by this place a lot and didn't stop. It's kind of hard to see from the street. Driving in was like entering a secret world. A friend of mine has altered her diet due to diabetes. So, we went for lunch. We were amazed and are going back. You will have to wait 20 to 30 minutes for your food, BUT it is FRESHLY PREPARED and worth the wait. The patio is pleasant, and the restaurant is artfully done. The mushroom chicharon street tacos are sliced, lightly battered, and fried. The tacos are topped w cabbage, carrot, and cilantro slaw and tasty sauce. The plate included arroz (mexican rice), small salad, and charro beans (so tasty). My friend had a cup of tortilla soup and "la pinata," which is a kale salad topped w stuffed avocado w sundried tomatoes and dressing. Also, I had watermelon agua fresca. We thoroughly enjoyed our laid-back lunch and left pleasantly full. Make this a regular stop for lunch or dinner. You will love it.

This place is delicious! And they are so kind. And the portions are huge, while the price is reasonable. If we lived here we’d be coming back again and again.

Hard to choose what to order with all the great looking options. Went with the special- enchiladas de calabacita. It was delicious and the presentation was nice too. Charro beans were really good. Staff was great. Will definitely be back!

I highly recommend this place! I am not a vegan or vegetarian and really enjoyed both the ambiance and more importantly, the food. I had the enchiladas verdes and they were excellent! The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable given everything is hand made and fresh to order. The decor here is very warm and inviting. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely be recommending Viva Vegeria to all my friends, family, and anyone who will listen. Update: it's been 7 years since my initial review and it still holds completely true today. Check them out, you won't regret it.

This place is a hidden gem ! We live about 15 miles away but decided to take the drive and check it out. It was worth it!! Food is outstanding and delicious. There were 3 of us and we had a half order of nachos for appetizer. We had enough left to take home. They always have a daily special. We also had chicken flautas. They were amazing. The food is not salty like most Mexican restaurants. Beans and rice were my favorite. The food has tremendous flavor. We will go back. Don’t let the drive or neighborhood keep you from trying them out.

Amazing food and service! Our waiter was incredibly helpful and very genuine with this efforts. Make sure to order ahead of time for the tamales if you want some! They only take orders of them by the dozen. The food looked intentionally made and the atmosphere was very inviting. Looking forward to trying their desserts soon!
