Had the chance to stop by this amazing restaurant. The staff and the management were absolutely top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I had some truly good food, in the right portions, and timed perfectly. I also ate outside, on a beautiful evening of October. My only complaint, and I'm truly being picky, is the music on the patio could have been better. But that's not necessarily a problem, as music tastes vary incredibly. Also - they are super flexible with accommodation of dietary restrictions (vegetarian here). They modified each plate to suit my restriction. Last - for what it's worth, one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. All in all i strongly recommend Clementine.

This place is AMAZING. Every star well deserved. We took a random jab at the menu and not one item disappointed us. The combinations and the marrying of flavors is genius. My absolute favs were The White Mushroom Salad, Lentils and Cardamom donuts with coffee ice cream and candied kumquats?. (See their menu for PC dish names) Read the menu and dive in. Our waiter Alejandro was the absolute greatest. His recommendations were greatly appreciated. This will definitely be a fav on the map.

I don’t know how I’ve never reviewed Clementine, as it’s my favorite restaurant in San Antonio, and one of my favorites in the world. We eat here for every important occasion, we even had our wedding dinner here (a magical night.) I’ve eaten at many Michelin star and James Beard winning restaurants, and Clementine often surpasses the quality of the most acclaimed places I’ve been. It seems so silly, because you’re in a strip mall in San Antonio. But the creativity of Chef John Russ, Chef Elise, and the team is truly next level. The combinations are always innovative and surprising. The menu is always changing, and I’ve never had a single dish that didn’t delight me. I think if Clementine was on a busy street in Austin, New York, or planted in Napa Valley, it would be a household name. But here it is, just for us in San Antonio. What luck! The great food alone would be enough to keep me coming back, but the service is top-notch, the wine list is thoughtful and well-curated, and the atmosphere is unpretentious. The best thing to do is the Feed Me, but I am sure you will be amazed by any dish you select. The various fish dishes have always been my favorite, and the beef is a staple for my kid. I hope that you try it and keep coming back.

The "Feed Me" option with wine pairings was absolutely fantastic!! This place should have a James Beard award if you ask me. The experience at this place was bar none and very easily comparable with a 1 or 2 M star place. The wait staffs ia awesome Braden was knowledgeable about everything that came our way and he was extremely attentive along with being fun as all heck. The seating in front of the kitchen was fun to sit at while watching kitchen operate in flawless unison. Do not miss this place if you can get to it, I will flying back next week and will be doing everything in my power to get the dinner octopus option.

So amazing. We just got married (courthouse wedding, simple) and decided to come here to celebrate. They were amazing and even brought us some rosé and dessert on the house to congratulate us. We ordered the "Feed Us" option and every course was delicious. The fish especially. The green beans were a bit spicy for my taste but the flavor itself was very good and paired well with the next citrus pasta dish. Thank you all so much for the great service! It's very much appreciated and we will definitely be back.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in San Antonio. Our group of four opted to have the “Feed Me” option which is a multi-course meal made up of off menu items selected by the Chef. Every single course was a hit with our group and by the end of the meal it was the perfect amount of food. We sat outside on the small but cozy patio, and although it was a cold evening they had blankets for guest which made for a nice touch. I believe our waiter was, Eric, and he was excellent from start to finish. It definitely wasn’t the cheapest meal in town, but it was by far the best, and we will certainly be back for more.

Amazing all around! Service was impeccable and Francois was just wonderful. We had the hush puppies, beet salad, king salmon, clams and snap peas, and coffee creme brulee. It was all so, so good! Will definitely be back.

Amazing experience- food, service, wine options. All around excellent. Unfortunately we weren’t super hungry so we didn’t do the feed me option (where the chef chooses your whole meal). But we made some pretty solid choices. The onion tart had a mix of perfect flavors and the tart part was so light and crispy. The real star was the life changing pasta - had a little ricotta, toasted pecans, Parmesan and something else but just heavenly. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable.

I have to begin by saying thank you to the Resy article I read about places one must try if visiting San Antonio, Clementine was fabulous! My love and I were visiting San Antonio for a much needed break, celebrating her upcoming graduation for her Masters of Fine Arts degree she's receiving from the University of Texas at Austin. We stayed in an amazing hotel and ate some amazing food but when we got to Clementine, this place blew us away. Everything was perfect our server Dario was amazing, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was incredible, a perfect neighborhood spot in a strip mall just like it's supposed to be. I could not say enough about everything we had so I'm going to go straight into the food. We started with the flame tart which is the most amazing crunchy light bread with really slowly sauteed onions it's exceptional order 2 if you're hungry it's worth it, Then on to the ricotta cavatelli you should definitely watch the video they mix it at the table for you. Every bite is just exceptional it's perfectly layered it hits on all your senses salt, fat, acid, umami, what a great dish. Then we lightened things up with the beat salad which was so delicious we were literally asking for more. Then we split the wagu New York strip it's perfectly prepared, perfectly seasoned, every bite exploded with flavor it was paired with an amazing red wine that I picked. We started with champagne then onto a white and then we finished with this amazing red. I think this food would be described as Italian but it was much more than that, it really complimented and had highlights of everything that makes food delicious they have a prefix menu that the chef will prepare a really nice course I would recommend it but we were not feeling that we needed to go that way we really just wanted to try some specific items and I'm glad we did. You definitely need to watch the video and check out the coffee creme breule with banana sorbet, it was absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of having another amazing dinner with the love of my life, a woman that I have come to realized is someone I don't ever want to be without. This dinner was so good it is a reminder of all the wonderful things all the beautiful times, all the fantastic meals that we've shared and how when you're with someone who creates that warmth of energy inside you, everything is better, everything you put in your mouth, everything you touch, everything you see and smell is elevated, heightened! So the next time you have dinner with someone you care about put your phone down, look across the table and realize how important that person is. What they mean to you. How they make you feel you. You might just realize that the food just got better, mine did. Thank you for your love, you are my Sun, and I your moon. Love you forever and always. 🖤🖤🖤

Do not let the location within a strip mall confuse you - this is San Antonio’s hidden gem. Once going and trying their “Feed Me” option we realized we stuck gold. The chef couple team is a power couple. I loved the open kitchen concept, watching the team prep the courses as they came out with genuine passion, love, and excitement for what they are doing. All smiles and laughs. The chefs are right in the mix, bringing harmony, diversity, and influence to the food and team. We loved every. single. plate. Even foods of which I’ve never enjoyed. It’s definitely a “birthday” or “anniversary” type meal event but worth every penny.

Great spot for a team dinner. $60 to $100 per person expected without libations. We enjoyed the option of family style service, and would opt for the "feed me" curated experience next visit.

“Feed me” was spot on and included some items not on the menu such as amazingly tender, juicy sweetbreads. Also in the meal, we particularly enjoyed the mushroom salad, grilled little gem lettuce salad with poached egg dressing, halibut and the tender, moist cheesecake. Expertly prepared, lovely presentation, service friendly but sometimes a bit over attentive-but not in a bad way. Lovely meal. Go late, it is very loud.

We came for a birthday dinner and had an AMAZING time! We did the “Feed Me” option, and the food rivaled Michelin starred dinners we’ve had. Absolutely one of the best dinners I’ve had in town. Braden was our server and was excellent. He was attentive yet gave us space, and was supremely knowledgeable about the food and wine pairings we asked for. All around an amazing staff that created a perfect evening! Thank you for the great memories, we will make it a point to come back soon!

This is an excellent place to enjoy some wine and a fine dining "feed me" experience. Our server did a great job convincing us to let the kitchen surprise us with 7 courses, but they were happy to include a specific menu item at our request. The staff was quite friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. Service was impressively fast. The dishes were unique, with high-quality ingredients, and some outside-the-box flavor combinations. They made me love dishes I probably would have never went out of my way to try. The flame tart (an 8th course they kindly threw in) was one of the most memorable bites. I don't think my tastebuds will ever forget those cardamom donuts either. I've left hungry after doing a tasting menu at other places before, but everything was very rich and satisfying here. You can definitely expect a five star experience at Clementine!

We treated ourselves to an exquisite dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The food and the ambiance was flawless. The food was seasoned perfectly, the salmon melted in your mouth, and the steak cut like butter. The servers had great wine and food suggestions for us. We will definetley be back when in San Antonio and refer others. It is a 10 out of 10!!!

Did the Feed Me with wine pairing on Sat night at the counter with a friend. The service was outstanding and the food was fantastic! Our server Jason was top notch, engaging, personable and knew his food & wine. Watching the rest of the staff at the counter was so much fun. It was fun to interact with them as we watched them make wonderful food. A great experience and I highly recommend if you are in San Antonio. Plan ahead and make your reservation. *thank you for the 4 desserts, too much but soooooo good

The tart is a must try, and the ricota cavatelli is sensational. Everything they make is honestly so great, and I'm pretty critical. Somehow it manages to be like the best parts of fine dining and home cooking combined. The service is phenomenal, and the wine list is impeccable- it's full of food-friendly, unique finds instead of the typical, run-of-the-mill options. Definitely get multiple courses to share a bit of everything, or trust Chef Russ' "feed me" option. No regrets. And you're definitely selling yourself short if you skip the dessert. Get the crunchbar. Nothing shy of perfection here, 5 stars.
