I was part of the Red Hats this past Saturday and I am excited to share my experience at this wonderful place to eat! The greeter was very enthusiastic about escorting us to the party room. Our server was Elizabeth and she was amazing! Elizabeth made sure that we had our orders correctly and had a very good attitude. The food was fresh and very delicious when served. The coffee was fresh made as well. The place is designed in the WWII retro decor. All the employees were helpful. The place was very clean on the inside and the outside was well taken care of. I will definitely return.

Amazing!!!! Ate here 2 out of 3 days of vacation and so wished it would have been 3/3. Can’t say enough good things. From the service, atmosphere, taste, portion size, all 5****. Don’t hesitate to stop by for the best meal you will have anywhere around San Antonio. It was so good I actually asked the waitress if they would consider shipping some of their menu selections thru one of the online foodie places. American, country, down home, touch of Cajun flair, best part is they understand that Cajun is flavor and not just heat. Have a trip planned for March and will be by there 2 or 3 times then. Highly recommend. You will be made to feel like family from the moment you walk in.

Love this place. Been coming here since the '90s. Great fried pork chops and chicken and dumplings. Eat your cornbread with plenty of butter and honey. They have an excellent wait staff and hostess. Always welcoming and friendly. There was a New Orleans-style band playing the night we went. It was such a fun and energetic atmosphere we stayed an hour longer than we meant to enjoying the music. I will continue to return to this beloved restaurant.

Food was delicious! Saw this place on tv, decided to finally try it. Our waiter, Mark was so courteous and was able to answer all my questions about the menu! We had the fried pickles, chicken/sausage gumbo with cornbread, 2 piece catfish, fried fish/shrimp combo, with tea all for $35!! We will definitely be back!

I had the sampler platter and fired pickles and it was all delicious. The hush puppies were the best I've had in years. The service and atmosphere was great and the staff were extremely polite and professional. Great prices as well. Will definitely come again!

What a fabulous experience!!! Atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Staff all work together to allow for a delightful time. Food was delicious. Our group gets together every 3 months to catch up and break bread. I wish there were 10 star reviews. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I've been going to this place for many years. It always has consistently good food and has not changed their menu very much over the years. In my opinion, the two best items served here are the fried fish and the fried chicken livers. The fried fish comes in two varieties, one being catfish the other whitefish, and both are delicious. They also have chicken and dumplings as an option for a side which is nice. I wish they had more locations in San Antonio but for the time being, I will continue to go here.

Good visit. Everything was really good… red beans & rice, Cajun cabbage, catfish, tilapia. etc. Recommend.

First time trying Cajun food. I enjoyed it but it didn’t blew me away. Tried the catfish lunch plate, which included two sides. I went with the chicken n dumplings and the Cajun cabbage. The catfish portion was small, but overall tasted pretty good. It was a bit dry tho, not sure if that’s the usual Cajun cuisine or just this plate. Same goes for the sides, small, but pretty good overall. The meal is definitely heavy tho. If you are not used to heavy/fried food then this will definitely give your stomach a go haha.

Food is always great here! Jason was our server for our office lunch meeting. He was very attentive, kept our drinks refilled and made sure we had everything we needed.

Had the fried seafood combo (white fish and butterfly shrimp) and everything was excellent. The margaritas were pretty good too and our waiter was very friendly.

Absolutely well worth the price very clean the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was beautiful. The food was great and well worth the price. They have a full bar too. They had live music that was fun and nice to listen to . All together I enjoyed my date with my husband. The food , staff , and restaurant was fantastic! The only down side is there's no delivery . But other then not being able to order food for delivery which is kind of a bummer but still definitely is my FAVORITE restaurant!

The best food I have ever tasted in San Antonio. Went to surprise my little cousin who works there. Great food and atmosphere. The staff was wonderful. This was back in February 2022.

The food here is made from scratch, the food was delicious! We went around 4:30 pm it was pretty empty when we got there by the by the time we left at close to six there was a line out the door! The prices are affordable not to high, our waitress was attentive and friendly if your looking for great sea food like catfish this is the place, they have great sea food here, they also have good tender strips, mash potatoes and green beans and biscuits and corn bread and mud pie, and warm peach cobbler with ice cream, are you hungry yet? 😋🦐🐟🐊🍑🍦They also have alligator strips.

Outstanding food as always!!!! Enjoyed popcorn shrimp, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, greens, cornbread, and some of the best sweet tea I have ever had. Mr. Dave and all of the staff were extremely cordial, helpful, and attentive to our entire party. Cannot wait to visit again soon. Worth the drive from Austin, TX every time.

We were greeted by a less than enthusiastic host who acted as though our arrival had ruined his evening. We were asked to wait to be seated so we waited all though the restaurant was empty. Once seated it took 15 mins for our drink orders to be taken, at this time I placed an order for appetizers. It was another 10 mins before we got our drinks and finally introduced to our waiter. He apologized for his delay as he was busy with a large table. After receiving our drinks as the waiter was going to rush away I asked if we could now order so we did. He came back 5- 10 later asked if we needed anything while we waited and I asked when we could expect our appetizers. He looked completely baffled as the person who took our drink and appetizer orders didn't put in the order. He then said he could put it in and they would likely come with the meal. We decided at this point we'd just wait for our dinner to arrive. After waiting what seemed forever we received our meals. The food was subpar at best a total and utter disappointment. Definitely not worth the wait or the $$. Did I mention it was my uncle's birthday?? WELL it was and we let the waiter know thinking they would sing and possibly bring a desert but that didn't happen either. It wouldn't have been sooo bad if the Acadiana crew didn't sing for another table. It's been more than 10 years since I ate at Acadiana and I'm extremely disappointed. It used to be a place I'd gladly take friends and family. After tonight it'll be another 10 years before I go back. To our waiter my uncle left you the tip as I thought after the crappy service you didn't deserve one. We've all been in the service industry and had rough nights, not sure what you're going through but hope you are able to work it out before your next shift. #badservice #badfood

The manager personally came to my table to ensure that my wife and I would enjoy our dining experience as it was our first time there. After I told him I was born in New Orleans, he really took care of us. The food was amazing, especially the chicken and dumplings, gumbo, cornbread and the Catfish Acadiana! And they have Abita Turbodog beer! We can't wait to come back!

great place with friendly staff!! Love their peel and eat shrimp and friend pickles!! In fact, there isn't anything that they have I don't like!! Great atmosphere too!!

I visited Acadiana Cafe as a part of a Red Hat Society event. We were a group of 100. The area we were assigned was clean, comfortable and easy to get around. Our table consisted of 15 persons. All food (especially cornbread) was delicious and served quickly. Our waitress, Buffy was outstanding - she is an asset to the cafe. I will visit Acadiana Cafe again and will recommend to family and friends.
