Review County Line - San Antonio

How can it be so good?! My husband had gone to County Line many years ago on a business trip. He has bragged about their BBQ all these years!!!! Well we finally came to Texas & found one. So amazing & delicious!! We tried the Pork ribs & Brisket. So tender & seasoned just perfect. World famous potato salad really was delicious. Okra was crispy just as i requested. Soft warm fresh baked loaf bread slices was outstanding. Our server was Ford. He did an excellent job the whole evening. Fun decor. Huge dining rooms with plenty of seating available. Such a wonderful experience. We will definitely come again as soon as another trip allows. Oh Ford said they ship their ribs!!! What??!!

It's been years we haven't been here. Glad we came. Delicious food from appetizers to the plates!! We had the cheese n brisket chips. My husband had the 3 meat plate amd I had the brisket plate!!

Ran into this place and enjoyed it. The food was good and so was the atmosphere. The best part was that the service was excellent. We had the baked potato and some sausage as well as the home made bread. The bread was excellent. Not sure why they would not just offer a small portion to the table and sell a larger portion. The potato was huge and very soft/ delicious. Really enjoyed it. It came with butter, chives, sour cream and cheese. It was good that they did not drown the potato in the toppings and brought more as requested. Really made it great. Overall loved the food and great service plus the open areas and seating made for a nice dining experience.

My husband got a full rack of beef ribs, he has been craving them for a long time since most BBQ restaurants don't have them. I had a lite dinner, lean brisket, fried okra and Garlic mashed red potatoes. All so yummy. The COUNTY LINE RESTAURANT off I-10 has the better food since the one in the RIVER WALK MALL has their food brought in fully cooked. Thats why some food is cold there.

Me and the wife came there for our 20-year anniversary. She's been wanting beef ribs for a couple of years I finally found a restaurant where they serve that so that's where we went. I ate their brisket sandwich or brisket burger very meaty and very feeling. The environment or atmosphere was very fun remind me back when I was in my twenties in the '80s. The waiter and the staff were very friendly and nice. For a big big restaurant they weren't too many people but that was good cuz I like I don't like crowds. Went to the restroom and very nice and clean area. The balcony and parking area was clean nice and neat. Had a very good time and experience at County Line Restaurant. As a rating I gave two thumbs up and a big smile. Hoping to go back again soon.😀👍👉

This has quickly become a staple for my family. Always great food & great service. The staff remembers you & quickly takes care of what you need. From appetizers, to meat combos, to sandwiches, to the chicken-fried steak, everything is phenomenal. It's our go-to spot for a small date, or a large get-together. Highly recommended!

We came in from Houston and this place did not disappoint! The staff was friendly and service was awesome! Matthew H was our server and he was great and kept the drinks coming! The big daddy rack of ribs was amazing and fed most of us! The brisket stuffed baked potato was heavenly! If you love BBQ you have to try this place!!!

Best taxes BBQ. The meat were all amazing good. We had five meats plate with mash potatoes and the green beans. Potato was with a bit sour taste and green beans were a tiny spicy but both of them were really good. Definitely upgrade to the homemade bread, it was warm and delicious by itself. We will come back again for sure.

My brother-in-law knew exactly what he wanted when he called and said he was here at the county line on IH 10! Not only was it not extremely packed for lunch, but a very comfortable vibe inside of the restaurant and a wonderful staff that paid quite the attention to the table especially the one that we were at! In this particular photo you'll see that my son and I shared the five meat combo which was fantastic! Thank you to the staff and the cooks of course in the back making sure that we had a hot plate in front of us, and two are awesome waitress who left us served hand and foot which is why I'm giving five stars to this awesome establishment thank you!

20 years it's been since I've gone back to County Line. I can't remember how it looked inside when I went but it still looks a little outdated but it is cozy plenty of room and it was comfortable. But beware you will smell like a barbecue restaurant when you leave. If that bothers you. It's a little dim for my liking. They have a very good menu something for almost everybody. The wait staff seems to be just about everybody that's walking around and I like that. Because all of them ask you is there anything you need. I do like the wait staff that my wife and I had very good. We order an appetizer that chips salsa / queso. And this was way more than two people need. The queso was wonderful salsa is good. My wife had a baked potato and a salad. She absolutely loved her potato everything that came with it. For salad well it's a salad. I had the three meat plate and you get two sides to pick with that as well. Now I do know sometimes it's hit or miss with any barbecue restaurant when you order extra lean with your brisket. Mine was dry and you are to expect that sometimes when you get extra lean so it was a little chewy. Wasn't actually my favorite but it does have a great smoked flavor. They do a great job as far as the flavor goes. The marble was a nice flavor as well. If it's going to be dry my suggestion would be possibly cutting a little thinner on the pieces. Otherwise do what my father used to do, use the fat backs lay on top of what you're going to use for extra lean. What I try the brisket again? Yes, I will. I will try regular next time. It's a very clean brisket so I will have no problem trying it again. Had the sausage. Now you can't screw up sausage so not much to input there. But it was a very good sausage. The barbecue sauce something about it that I don't really like but that could be a individual liking thing. I still used it because I wanted something. It's not bad it's just something that's not hitting me right with it. I got mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Because I figured it would be a smaller side. I was wrong, very wrong. I was expecting the macaroni and cheese just to be plain Bland and just nothing to it. Because other barbecue restaurants I've gone to hasn't been very good. This is some of the best Mac and Cheese I've ever had. The garlic mashed potatoes were absolutely wonderful and both side dishes were very large! My wife and I were very happy with the service and our food. That's a place we will definitely go back to. And I look forward to it I'm going to try some other meats. It's been around at least 20 years that I'm aware of possibly longer. If you haven't gone there try it. I believe you won't be disappointed.

Great Service, Food and Atmosphere. Beef Rib is one of best I ever had. Smoke ring on Ribs and Brisket was perfect at about 1/4 inch. Taste profile was amazing. Sides were good as well. Ice tea was cold and brewed perfectly.

The wait staff here is amazing Daesha was an absolute delight friendly knew her menu fast service. The turkey melts in your mouth and the sides are huge size portions. I continue to come to this location.

I'm used to more "hole-in-the-wall" BBQ places, so going to a place where you are seated by a waiter was a novel experience for me. Despite this, it was not overly pricey. My wife had brisket with mashed potatoes and I had sausage with mac and cheese. The brisket was cooked just the way my wife likes it. As for me, the sausage had a little bit of a spicey kick, which I liked. The waiter was friendly and attentive. In a lot of other BBQ restaurants it can be quite loud inside, but not here fortunately. They do have live music on occasion so that may not always be the case. All in all, this is my new favorite BBQ in San Antonio and we will be back!

Delicious food, and terrific service. It was our first time in San Antonio, and our waiter was Ted, and he knew the menu inside and out and made the perfect recommendations for our family. He provided exceptional service as well. He was very attentive without being overbearing. We had the pork ribs and sausage, as recommended and it was so good. The bbq sauce was so delicious, and Ted made sure to send us with tiny cups with taped down lids in our to-go boxes! He even labeled them!! I had the brisket as well, and it was so tender, it melted in my mouth. Ted recommended the Strawberry Margarita for me, and I had 2 they were so good! We will be back for sure on our next visit.

Service was extraordinary! Our server was very professional and was quick to make recommendations. I had the 2nd cut brisket with beans and potatoe salad and was give coleslaw on the house. My fiance'got the brisket sandwich with potatoe salad. The 2nd cut brisket is highly recommended! We loved it! The only thing we didn't love was the potatoe salad. Other than that, everything was great! By the way, their milk shakes are great!!!!

We came to this restaurant for an early lunch. The place was less busy than usual. We could enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, good food and prompt service. It’s a good place to visit with friends. Real Texas bbq experience on I 10.

Bruhhhhhh!!!!!!! Ermahgerd this place is amazeballz! The for is incredible. The staff is super friendly. And the decor is super cool. If you're lucky enough to get Batmatt as your server, be damn sure you take care of him. Easily the best server I've ever had. Spent just the right amount time checking on us and didn't make a single mistake. Great place! Don't take my word for it. Go see for yourself.

The food was very good and our server Matthew was fun and personable. We actually walked in 15 minutes before closing and told them we were from Minnesota and they let us in. I would highly recommend trying it. Great patio.

Dump. They should be ashamed to call that dog-food brisket. Disservice to the state of Texas and its citizens. Requested “fatty” or “moist” brisket. They served me over-cooked brisket flat covered in goopy BBQ sauce to mask the crappy brisket.

My last night in town, went for a walk from the hotel. Didn’t even know this place was there. I was going to pass it by so nice I ate the same thing at the River Walk just the night before. But as I turned the corner I saw the patio and the signs that it was going to be a live music night with Clay Hollis and Curtis Grimes so I figured, “Why not?” Food and service was terrific and the music was better than I had anticipated. Great visit for my last night in Texas.

Great food great service. We get a Rib King platter and split it. More than enough for two!!

If you are over 21 with a VALID drivers license don't go to this restaurant if you want a beer with your meal. They will refuse to serve you cause they were stupid enough to get busted by accepting a fake. We had to request a manger for an explanation. Because by TABC law this is valid. This is a ridiculous "company" policy cause they don't train their staff well enough!!

We went there for a private party. The room was perfect. The food was finger licking good. The servers were very friendly & accommodating. I will definitely keep The County Line as my next private party venue.

Found this place when we were displaced from our home after Ike. We come back as often as possible. The food has always been great and service on point!

This restaurant was close to the hotel so we walked over. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff was awesome! The food was excellent. The lean brisket was delicious and of course all the sides! Oh and I had the Rebecca Creek whiskey & coke and it was yummy!! We will definitely come back for more!!!

Delicious!!! Great tasting bbq. The pecan pie alamode was super. The service excellent. Definitely a must stop. Great atmosphere Loved it all!

I was hoping the brisket is going to be real moist but it was real dry and the macaroni and cheese was real running

Had an amazing experience! Food was top perfect i haven’t had brisket that tender in a long time! The server “ Dark Knight” provided excellent customer and made sure we enjoyed our experience! I wish y’all would open a store back up near my area (Rockwall)

This is good old fashion American Bar B Q. The beef ribs are enormous, tender- the babyback ribs really do fall of the bone and flavorful OMG. The pulled pork- Brisket and sausage are all fantastic If you haven't eaten their yet you are missing out on some of the best Texas BBQ.

Wonderful service. I had the 2 meat lean. (Ribs and brisket). Coleslaw, beans and potato salad. Great food.

The food was great little pricey,went in on Father's day. Little over an hour wait to be seated.Then get to table didn't get food till 55min later. Not sure I'll be back. We normally go to Rudy's in and out don't ever have to wait that long either and still cheaper. Thank you!
