My wife and I drove into San Antonio from New Braunfels and were wanting something good but light as we had a lot of shopping to do. We agreed on Pam's Patio Kitchen. Being a bluesman myself I love the great selection of blues filling the room with coolness. I decided on the Mexican Torta sandwich on focaccia bread with jalapeños. I went for beef instead of turkey. The sandwich had tender beef, avocados, lettuce, and tomatoes on grilled focaccia bread. It was perfect. I am glad I chose the whole sandwich instead of the half lol. The topper for this visit though was the key lime pie cupcake. Start with the most perfect moist cake that tastes like a cross between a white cake and angel food. The texture was perfect. There was a nice amount of cream cheese icing on top and garnished with a lime slice. Normally this would be enough for any cupcake connoisseur but hidden deep inside the cupcake was an ample amount of what tasted like lime curd. Unbelievable!!! This is only the best cupcake/cake/pie/dessert that I have ever tasted. The overall dining experience was five star. The staff were helpful and friendly. Great job. We will be back.
The food is always fresh, made from scratch, and consistently delicious! Great beer and wine selections. An awesome vibe in a relaxing space. My favorite place to go with friends and family!
We stumbled onto Pam's while looking for something different to eat. What a pleasant surprise! This humble kitchen produces really good food! We got a tuna and a torta, and they were fantastic! Very flavorful and good portion size. You can choose between a half and a full sandwich. They also serve pizza, which I can't wait to try! If you want good food made by good people, please make your way to Pam's Patio Kitchen! Oh! and the salsa is awesome. we got a pint to-go!
We revisited Pam’s recently and remembered why we always loved it so much. Great food and wine, and reasonable prices, not to mention a great and relaxing atmosphere. I had the strawberry spinach salad with chicken. It was delicious. Looking forward to dining on the patio at Pam’s this Spring!
I've been to this spot several times, and my recent visit included trying the Veggie Sammich and the Thai Beef Salad. Here's my take:
Veggie Sammich:
The Veggie Sammich was decent, nothing extraordinary. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it's a solid choice if you're in the neighborhood. The chips and mango salsa, however, were the real stars – the salsa with avocado and a good heat level, and the chips were not overly salty or greasy.
Thai Beef Salad:
The Thai Beef Salad had its ups and downs. On the positive side, the portion of beef was generous, and it was very tender. Unfortunately, the beef was overly salty, and both the beef and the dressing had a spicy kick.
Service and Ambiance:
The service was good, and the place was clean, creating a pleasant dining environment. If I find myself in the neighborhood again, I might return to try other menu options.
Overall, it's been an average experience with some standout moments. While I wouldn't drive out of my way for it, I'd definitely consider coming back if I happened to be in the area.
This place has been a mainstay of ours for many years because of the perfect intersection of geography, well made food and price! We used to drag all our friends there and many of them have become regulars! The Vietnamese beef salad is a perfect example of the with the thinly sliced beef meeting a perfect bite with the Jasmine rice, green lettuce and the spicy and delicious Ginger dressing. Lately the food has gone down in quality in my opinion with be prices being quite out of sync ( I mean 16 bucks for a beef taco plate.... Really!) with the quality really dropping! Had salmon on a salad a few days ago and by god not only was it a tail end piece, but overcooked beyond blazes. Too bad the expansion has not been perfect.
Update: this place really took the last few years seriously and expanded their patio seating and hygiene. The food quality has returned to old standards!
My family absolutely loves Pam's - it has been our go-to spot for healthy comfort food for many years. It has options for everyone, from our Vegan to our heart-conscious family members, everyone loves going to Pam's. They make fresh soups and bread daily (the bread is served as a starter - so yum), and the quality of their food is so very good. My go-to meal is the Tomato Basil Soup with their Strawberry Pecan salad - heavenly!!

Pam's is officially my favorite neighborhood joint. I've loved every dish I've had there, lunch and dinner, and I always get a slice of cake to go. Every staff member has been exceptionally nice and actually engaging.
We've been coming here for years and I realized that I had not reviewed this place. Pam's is a delicious, friendly and consistent restaurant. They have good meal choices and we have never made a wrong choice.
They have salads, soups, hot or cold sandwiches, pizzas and even nachos. Their ordering format has changed, they now offer table service with indoor and outdoor dining. Their portion sizes are generous so you can order a half portion or a full portion for leftovers. Their food is made fresh as you order it and it shows.
I recommend that you bring someone with you, order two different items and share so that you can try 2 different entrees. The torta valencia is highly recommended and you cannot forget the delicious and quenching natural strawberry lemonade. We have also tried their Thai Soup (Tom Kha) and Tomato soup which are very very delicious. They rotate their soups so they may not be available every day.
Thus is a great place for a weekend lunch with the family and friends. They now offer curbside as well. Don't forget their great desserts as well.
Enjoy y'all.
I really enjoyed eating at Pam's Patio Kitchen.

At the recommendation of my server, I got the skinny bacon pizza. It looked awesome and I appreciated the unique creation. But unfortunately, it was way too spicy for me. Now I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to spice but I was in sweats and tears after a few bites. Perhaps next time I can request a different sauce than the tomatillo salsa base. The orange dreamsicle cake was another unique creation and I loved every bite. The service was top-notch and I'll give them another shot on some not-so-fiery food.
