Went there to get a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich today and i I was there a little early for lunch and was told that the bread had not come in yet and that the sandwich would be made with the bread from the day before. It is, hands down, the best in San Antonio even being made with bread from the previous day. Several weeks ago went to another eatery on the recommendation that it was so good....didn't even compare to Gino's. While eating, the fresh bread did come in and the owner insisted i have some, which i did, that he put some butter on....the best ever. Definitely a 5+, not only on the Philly Cheese Steak, but everything,
Love this place to pieces. The food is fabulous. The cheesesteaks , burgers, tacos... on point. The owners and staff are ridiculously nice.
Wife bought me a Philly cheese steak... probably the best Philly I've ever had here in San Antonio. My only gripe is the price. The sandwich ALONE costs $13.49. Add chips and soda, , and you're looking at a $20 deal. Imagine getting this for a family. You could eat more at ihop,, for less.
With this being said, I recommend everyone who's a fan of phillys, to try this place at least once.

Burger was juicy and finger licking good. Great balance of condiments and burger.
Italian sub was amazing as well- competitive to getting a sun at a deli in New York City!
Lots of parking for a Tuesday dinner and friendly and wonderful staff.
Only thing is I wished there were high chairs for infants and seating with backs for older family.
Highly recommend and will definitely return when in San Antonio again!!!
The service at this place is amazing. The atmosphere is fun. This place is inside a convenience store, so it is relaxing. I ordered the double meat hamburger with cheese, and it was delicious. The meat was overflowing over the buns, and we received free chips and a drink!! My wife ordered the turkey sandwich and said it was enough for 2 meals. Great food at a good price point
This is legit one of the best spots in SA. Sandwiches were amazing; full of flavor and tasty. Service was beyond friendly and helpful. Jake helped us order and provided some recommendations. We ordered the smoke stack and dirty Derrick and they were both wonderful. Atmosphere was excellent. We will be coming back within the week to try other menu items. I will be telling all my buddies about this place.
I really do love this place the food is amazing and fast it feels like the perfect place to stop by and get food and just feel at home with everything. Even after not being here for a while the guy Still rember my family and I and was super friendly with us It just feels so nice. The cooks were fast and friendly ready to take our order. Best Philly cheese steaks I ever had.
Went here with my girlfriend for the first time and the sandwiches were great! We had the philly cheese steak and smoke stack sandwiches and we'd definitely recommend both. They also offered us free chips and drinks since we were first timers. We are definitely coming back to try some more! Absolutely amazing food. Best burger in town! My husband enjoyed the black bean sandwich as he's vegetarian! It was a HUGE sandwich! Thanks for making great food! I highly recommend!! A+++++
Gino's has been on my bucket list for about 1 year now, finally stopped by and It did not disappoint! Picked up a steak and a smoke stack and wow. Great service , great food definitely will be back!

The Todd Special is my new favorite!
(2 weeks later) Well, maybe the Italian is my new favorite. 🙂 Update December: I tried the Smokestack. The bacon was excellent. I don't think it's in my top 3, though.
UPDATE 2021: I haven't been on this side of town much for the past year and was very happy to be able to come here--and even eat in! The sandwiches were excellent, as always, and the staff is (still) very friendly and helpful.
UPDATE: Rabbi Scott is my new favorite sandwich! The first time I had it, I fully intended to take half of it home for later--but I couldn't stop. And now here I am having it again, three days later. :)

They're serious about not paying unless you're satisfied! I was very surprised that we didn't pay until we left. My husband, a picky eater, was delighted that he could get his sandwich the way he wanted it--just meat and cheese. I got the Italian with everything. It wasn't the best sandwich I'd ever had, but it was very good. I'm looking forward to trying a different sandwich the next time we go there. The only thing I didn't like was that the fountain drinks were Pepsi instead of Coke. (The iced tea was very good and fresh.)
