UPDATE 2023: The Todd Special is my new favorite! (2 weeks later) Well, maybe the Italian is my new favorite. 🙂 Update December: I tried the Smokestack. The bacon was excellent. I don't think it's in my top 3, though. UPDATE 2021: I haven't been on this side of town much for the past year and was very happy to be able to come here--and even eat in! The sandwiches were excellent, as always, and the staff is (still) very friendly and helpful. UPDATE: Rabbi Scott is my new favorite sandwich! The first time I had it, I fully intended to take half of it home for later--but I couldn't stop. And now here I am having it again, three days later. :) ***** They're serious about not paying unless you're satisfied! I was very surprised that we didn't pay until we left. My husband, a picky eater, was delighted that he could get his sandwich the way he wanted it--just meat and cheese. I got the Italian with everything. It wasn't the best sandwich I'd ever had, but it was very good. I'm looking forward to trying a different sandwich the next time we go there. The only thing I didn't like was that the fountain drinks were Pepsi instead of Coke. (The iced tea was very good and fresh.)

This place is an unassuming former gas station but the service is always great. The people taking the order, payment and people making the sandwiches all seem to be on their A game and always very friendly. Then the sandwiches are even better! High quality bread, steak, veggies! Wife bought me a Philly cheese steak... probably the best Philly I've ever had here in San Antonio. My only gripe is the price. The sandwich ALONE costs $13.49. Add chips and soda, , and you're looking at a $20 deal. Imagine getting this for a family. You could eat more at ihop,, for less. With this being said, I recommend everyone who's a fan of phillys, to try this place at least once.

I really do love this place the food is amazing and fast it feels like the perfect place to stop by and get food and just feel at home with everything. Even after not being here for a while the guy Still rember my family and I and was super friendly with us It just feels so nice. The cooks were fast and friendly ready to take our order. Best Philly cheese steaks I ever had.

Went here with my girlfriend for the first time and the sandwiches were great! We had the philly cheese steak and smoke stack sandwiches and we'd definitely recommend both. They also offered us free chips and drinks since we were first timers. We are definitely coming back to try some more!
