Ruben and Jon both do an amazing job running this restaurant. 💛 The brisket is awesomely made everytime we visit, the fries is fresh and tasty, pulled pork was pretty damn good as well. A MUST-EAT for anyone looking for a good place after going to the zoo, plus it's literally only minutes away from the zoo!

Absolutely perfect, the staff was amazing and very helpful. The food was exactly what we had hoped for when we were searching for authentic Texas BBQ!! Lots of parking, indoor and outdoor seating for large parties 🎉🎉. If you are looking for a great stop before or after you visit the San Antonio zoo.. this is place to go.

We actually came for the pop up market that is held every Sunday! I have a small business called honeys beadz and now Every single time we come to be vendors we end up eating dinner here as well 🤣 the food is so great I love it! Id recommend any of the burgers! The hotdogs are huge so for sure come with an appetite! I love the employees here and the prices are very fair for being downtown basically!

First time trying Augie's on a Sunday Afternoon and it was lovely! We tried the three meat plate with the brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. The Pulled pork and sausage were my favorite, but the brisket was my Partners favorite. Their Mac n Cheese was simple but paired well with the food, but their Potato Salad was Next level delicious! Only downside was they only gave us one small side of their BBQ sauce. I wanted more!

Food was delicious! Wanted BBQ near by after our zoo day and we made a great choice. The staff was very sweet and helpful. The atmosphere was great, and food was delicious. Spent roughly $35 for two people with the food and fountain drinks which we came home with leftovers. Would definitely recommend and will 100% be going back.

Oh my Lord - this is probably the best brisket I’ve ever had. Found this place by chance when walking around the Japanese Tea Garden down the road, and grabbed lunch here before leaving San Antonio. We got the two meat platter, 1/4 dark chicken which was juicy and flavorful and the brisket… melt in your mouth tender and juicy!!!! The potato salad and mac’n’cheese were both creamy, flavorful and delicious. I will definitely return here when back in San Antonio!

Very delicious BBQ!!! Pulled pork sandwich specia with a side and drink for $9.99, a very well served portion, can easily split the sandwiches for 2 people. Their marbled and lean brisket are delicious, can be eaten without needing BBQ sauce. Even their lean brisket is not dry at all. Staff is very nice, excellent customer service, clean restrooms. Definitely adding this place to our must visit when in SA. Pictures show the pulled pork Sandwich, and a lean brisket sandwich and 1/2 lb of marbled chopped brisket.
