Atmosphere is low-key relaxed. I was there with a friend to celebrate his birthday, and we both had the Chicken Fried Steak. The portion was large (2 meals for me), and it was delicious. We both had a jalapeño margarita, which was outstanding! Service was excellent. Overall, a good experience, and I would go back!

Had the Chipotle chicken enchiladas they were great. The waitress finally came by it was 12 minutes in and the chips Were Almost out no water. Our food showed up quickly and she was gone until I flagged her down to get a check. No more water even though I was out .

Parking is difficult, the entrance to the restaurant is unclear. The indoor water feature is soothing. The UNsweet tea is on point. The standard chips(decent) and salsa(bland and unexciting, but probably hot for anyone not used to real TexMex) were immediately served from a station on entrance. All that said, the Avacado Enchilada plate was amazing. 9.5 Black Beans, rice. Smelled great, ate a couple bites before I took this picture.

We have so far gone twice; once just my wife and I and the other with our granddaughter. Both times were phenomenal! Customer service is great, Food was the greatest!!! Everyone and everything is the best!!! If you want the best tortillas in the country, you have to go here because there is none that is better. They are very authentic! We will not go to another Mexican restaurant again! Thank you for such a perfect experience!!!!

Was here for a meeting, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. She made sure everyone was left satisfied. The food was alright. But I was more impressed with our service.

Alamo Cafe is one of those go to SA spots. Food, service, and atmosphere is great. Only reason i gave it 4 stars on food was my sour cream chicken enchilada wasn't as hot as I like. Dinner #2

My sister got so excited when she found out I was visiting. She called and coached me… “get the tortillas… spread butter on it… spread queso on it… roll it up and stuff it in your face!” She was right. It was incredible. So good! Margaritas were delish too!
