This place has a great Irish pub interior; it was a perfect place to relax. The food was phenomenal. I highly recommend the guinniess beef pie, reuben eggrolls, and fish n chips. The guy playing the piano was super talented and personable. We will definitely be back.

Everything was Great! However and I'm wasn't toooo worried about myself because they were so packed the entire time. One couple/party left and the table was immediately filled again.

Durty Nelly's Irish Pub is a San Antonio landmark where I have remembered walking past this place since I was a child decades ago, and remember when I turned 21 walked inside like entering Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. I once again walking by much later in my life and this time took my wife inside. A man was playing tunes on an upright piano while while people were slurping on beers. This place had tremendous character and history. I spend some time examining the walls where they told a story but ran out of time. This was just a quick stop but soaked in enough to bring back memories and while enjoying a drink.

First time here, but definitely not my last. The beer, food, and employees are all top-notch. As I write this review there is a man playing the piano jamming 70's & 80's hits. I almost feel at home here.
I love the wall of patches tributing the military, police, firefighters, & EMT's.

This piano bar is fantastic. It filled up on a Tuesday evening, and everyone was singing along to all the favorites Kerry played. It was so much fun, and I look forward to returning to this gem of a pub. I did not eat anything there, so I have no idea about their food, but if it's something to go by judging the atmosphere and vibe, I am pretty sure it will be amazing, too! It's definitely a spot to celebrate anything at!

We really enjoyed this place. They have great piano players that remind me of being in a cruise ship piano bar. Service was great. Beer selection was good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Had the egg rolls, my opinion they need mustard but liked anyways. Cant beat piano man, lifts spirits dont pass on this!

This place was incredible, the pianist was lovely and there was an amazing fun atmosphere. It was quite entertaining, and a great place to go, it is child friendly when I went, around noon time. I recommend the fish and chips and the Guinness Beef Pie. The service is excellent and the food was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.

Such a fun atmosphere! The piano player Keith who happened to be there the day we walked in made sure the audience was included and made you feel like a friend. Simple but good food and drink menu. If you are looking for a relaxed but fun environment this is definitely the place to check out (coming from an out of towner)

I’ve visited a few times over the years and I think like much of the rover walk it has begun to lose its draw to me. It has the look and feel at times of being the Irish pub, the musicians do great to involve the crowd, making the night enjoyable. Making your way to the bar to order is relatively easy even if it looks crowded. Prices are comparable to the area you’re in so expect the $8 pints.
Ordering food at the bar is easy but stay ontop of your own order as the bartenders can be overwhelmed and forget to give it to you once it comes out from the kitchen.

Been coming here since 1976 when I turned 18! No more peanuts since covid! Bummer. But still a fun spot to chill on the Riverwalk to sing along with the piano player or sip a cold beer on the patio and people watch. Good snacks also.

St Patrick's Day, it was packed with a long line but so much fun! Piano player was aces and everybody had a great time! We had the Fish n Chips and the Guiness Meat Pie. The green shamrocks were bread and it was all delicious!

Do yourself a favor and let down your hair-hell shave it off and let it fly! Sooo much fun in this place. Good drinks that just keep coming ! The piano players are amazing! How they can just set down and play by ear is very impressive. They know the lyrics but seldom use the real ones, yielding instead to humor! They’re hilarious and will have you bellowing out in no time flat!

Piano player girl from Iowa was a hoot.
Came back a second time later at night and was treated to Joe and his perfect selection of piano bar songs. We would go back in a heartbeat.
I would order the fries every time!

We didn't order any food, we had just eaten lunch. We walked by to and were immediately drawn in by the piano playing singer. We had a few rounds of drinks. The server made sure we were taken care of. The singer interacted with us. It was my son's 25th birthday weekend. We had a blast the small amount of time we were there escaping the heat! Next time we go to San Antonio, we will make it a point to stop in again!
