Last night was date night for hubby and me. I made reservations for us to have dinner @kirbysprimesteakhouse. We had bought tickets for Lauren Daigle's concert. David and I both had wine. He had Benton Lane Pinot Noir, and I had a Malbec. David ordered the Angus Ribeye, and I had the Pan Roasted Sea Bass with lobster risotto. With both our entrées, it came with a choice of soup or salad. Both of us chose salads - Thousand Island dressing for hubby, and Ranch for me. The salad was a generous serving. David's ribeye was well-seasoned and so flavorful. My lobster risotto was fantastic. The sea bass was cooked perfectly, yet it lacked flavor. Nico brought a beurre blanc and it helped. We shared the feedback when the manager visited our table. He offered to remake the fish, but I didn't want that. He then offered a complimentary dessert. We chose the creme brulee.

Excellent choice for Date Night. Server Justin was great, kept the drinks coming and very attentive to our requests. Lobster cargot was abit on the salty side, but still tasted great!! Dry aged Ribeye with crusted Horseradish & Crab Oscar was dah bomb. I Absolutely loved it. Pan seared Seabass with Lobster Risotto was really tasty!!

We started the night being seated by a nice seating hostess. Then our waiter introduced himself, and for the next 2 and a half hours, he was never far away. He got us our drinks quickly and kept them coming. The food was great! We had a friend who was celebrating his birthday, no one knew, so we asked the waiter to surprise us, and he did! Excellent choice of cake and cheese cake! Was just a wonderful dinner and time!

Went there second time. The first time was not great, but we did enjoy so much during the second time. We ate very good/delicious food. Wine drinks were also good. Our waiter was so nice. There was a piece of human nail on the dessert spoon. The staff immediately addressed it well. Yet, the dessert was so delicious. The atmosphere was nice and beautiful. It was little dark. Wished for more light I could see my partner better and dishes.

I've always wanted to try Kirby's, and finally got my opportunity for a special event this past week. I started with an expertly -crafted old fashioned and a sampling of appetizers that definitely whetted my appetite for the main event to come. The Caesar salad was fairly standard fare, and I almost wish I'd gone with the House salad instead. For my main course, I ordered the cognac pepper filet. If you are a fan of black pepper, as I am, be prepared to be blown away! The pepper flavor in this steak was INTENSE, to put it mildly. The 10 oz filet was cooked to perfection and was fork-tender. I finished the evening with a New York style cheesecake that wrapped up the meal nicely. I can't wait to go back (I really need to try the steak and cake!)

Business trip took us to San Antonio to meet up with some friends. They are regulars at this superb steakhouse. I am very very very picky on my Ribeye steaks and this was spot on. They have a green peppercorn sauce that pairs up so well with the steak. Our sides were mashed potatoes, a scrumptious Mac-n-cheese, & Brussels sprouts. We started with their incredible Carpaccio with the drizzled balsamic glaze!!! Yuuuum! The ambiance was peaceful & elegant. So inviting we stayed over 3 hrs.

BY FAR! One of the best steakhouses in San Antonio! If you have never been here, please hurry up! Ok, let me start with the ambiance, is elegant and warm, perfect for a date at night, but also is great for business meetings. I recommend to make a reservation, sometimes it is very busy. I like to seat at the booth tables at the bar, of course they have high top tables and open bar. My favorite server here is John, white, bald guy with this very well taken care long beard, if you get him, you are set! I love two appetizers here, the Lobster Cargot (OMG my mouth waters just thinking of it) careful because it’s always steaming hot, it comes in a big plate with this creamy/cheesy white sauce and a side of freshly baked bread and the Grilled Baby Lamb Chops, delicious!! These lamb chops come in a dark sauce on a bed of mushrooms, You can’t ever go wrong with these pair! I normally get a steak, with grilled asparagus or rosemary grilled zucchini and the lobster Mac and cheese, but this time I wasn’t too hungry so I ordered this seafood salad John recommended me, and Oh if it was good! Light, tasty and refreshing. Oh! Almost forgot, I also got the Tequila Shrimp, it was good, but not my favorite. Drinks and wine list are amazing, you will find the perfect drink or glass of wine for your meal. Come and enjoy an amazing dinner here, you won’t regret it!

Outstanding meal and first class service! I ordered a 10oz fillet which was great and seared perfectly (better than the 30 day aged fillet at their competitor one block away, fyi). The soup of the day was a beef soup, which was so good I stopped myself from drinking from the bowl to get the last bit, which isn't classy at all, but I almost did it. The jalapeño mac & cheese was extremely flavorful. Cinnamon ice cream was delicious. Overall I walked away feeling my money was well spent! Solid five star restaurant.

A great steakhouse experience! If our service was a little better and our steaks a little more fresh, this dinner would’ve been closer to a 5 star experience. Unfortunately, I felt like we waited a little too long for each interaction with the staff and our waiter, leading us to wait for drinks/refills. Besides that though, all of the food we ordered was very good. For starters, the Grilled Tequila Shrimp was delicious. The flavor and amount of the sauce provided was perfect and definitely left us wanting more. The Potato Crusted Calamari was solid, with the peppers and sauce providing a good mix of flavors and textures. The steaks were all cooked perfectly and had great crusts, but came out more room temp than piping hot. That threw us off a bit, but not enough to disappoint the meal. The side sauces were hit or miss, with the Roquefort being the better of the two and the Cognac Pepper being more lackluster. The side dishes of Lobster Risotto and Susie’s Famous Mashed Potatoes were both good, but not great. All three of our desserts were tasty and gave us a tasty end to our dining experience. The Chocolate Mousse Cake that came with one of our Restaurant Week orders was a nice mix of textures, with the candied pecans and chocolate chips on top making each bite better than the last. The Half Baked and Chocolate Tres Leches Cake were amazing and ended up being nice compliments to one another. Worked out perfectly for our group, as some wanted a more chocolate-heavy dish and others wanted something more balanced. Overall, it was a pretty solid dinner. I’ll likely look into other options next time, but would still recommend it for anyone looking for a nice steak experience.
