I hadn’t been to Aldo’s since they were located on Huebner. It’s been over a decade. My husband surprised me and made reservations for our anniversary. It’s better than I remember it!! Gorgeous location, wonderful service, fantastic food. I was so glad that they didn’t bring us our check prematurely. That always makes me feel like they’re kicking us out. He didn’t bring it until we asked for it, which we appreciated very much.

Aldo's is amazing. The service is always great. Recently we took our good friends there for the first time and they loved it as well. Sean was our waiter and he provided excellent service and was very welcoming to our friends. Food is wonderful and they do what they can to accommodate any special requests. Love that they take reservations too! Highly recommend.

Our service was absolutely fantastic. She had the wedge salad and I had a Caprese. The wine list was very good with several of our favorites choose from. We shared the chicken marsala and they brought us birthday cheesecake for our celebration. But the standout was unquestionably the service. They went out of their way to make sure we had a fantastic evening and we sincerely appreciated it.

We had ladie's night out. I had made a reservation for our group, and without requesting it, they gave us the table in the private room to the side. It was great that all of us were able to hear one another and not just the person sitting next to you. The regular restaurant area is quite noisy.
The staff was very courteous and friendly. The food was delicious.
I do feel that some of the food items are over priced. One of my favorite dishes is eggplant parmesan (no meat), and it is $27. Also, regular spaghetti and meat balls is $23. Anything with fish in it is above $35. I ended up ordering the Gorgonzola stuffed chicken. Very tasty.
I do miss their old location on Fredericksburg and Wuerzbach. It was in a quaint house. Unfortunately it was sold and made way to the T. Perry's location and UT Health offices.

I have gone to Aldo’s for about 40 years. I didn’t go when they moved thinking it wouldn’t be the same. We went for restaurant week with low expectations. We have gone back about 5 times since! So awesome!

Great food, the lamb chops were delicious! The service was excellent. The lasagna was very rich, lots of cheese which made it a little salty.

It's one of my favorite restaurants for dinner. Food and service never disappoint. Most all employees have been there for over 10 years, so you know the service will be excellent. Very highly recommend eating here and just enjoying a nice night with friends and family having a nice conversation over a glass of wine.

We were a party of 3 trying to find somewhere to eat amongst the water crisis in San Antonio this weekend and Aldo was able to accommodate us within a few minutes. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the Sea Scallops, a pizza, and spaghetti with meatballs. It all tasted delicious. Our only "complaint" was that we weren't initially offered options regarding water. We were originally given their filtered water, which was boiled so it had a dirt smell and metallic taste. After asking about other water options, we were offered sparkling and bottled water. Other than that, everything was great. Even on our water to our vehicles we ran into one of the managers/owners and they were so friendly and welcoming to invite us back.

Aldo’s is one of our favorite date night spots! We love the food, the wait staff is attentive and polite. My favorite dish right now are the scallops, they are so tender and buttery and the veggies are too!

From the moment we walked in the door the owner Aldo greeted us and kindly found us a table quickly. The servers were very efficient and attentive. All the food was delicious and hot. Highly recommend it!

Brought my friend here for his birthday, our first time here and we don’t really match the crowd . But despite our looks they treated us very well , excellent service and excellent food! They even brought out a desert for my friend for us to sing happy birthday to! Recommend 100%

I didn’t dine here, but hung out during happy hour and had appetizers. It’s a really quaint little place with great ambience. It’s in an old farmhouse but is in great shape and it seems like it would be a great place for a special date night.
Happy hour is only served in the lounge/bar area and the outside patio (weather permitting). Happy hour is from 3:30p to 6:30p and includes $3 off most of their specialty cocktails, glasses of wine, and dinner appetizers. No specials for beer - BOO!
A group of us crowded around a small coffee table and pulled in extra chairs to sit around the edges. That was ok, but the service in the lounge area left more to be desired. We had to tell them we wanted to order appetizers and also had to request that they clear some of the plates, glasses, and bottles from the smallish coffee table area.
The appetizers were ok, but nothing to rave about. However, the ambience of the place really makes me want to return for a special evening. It’s a really classy place with large plate glass windows looking outside from the dining areas.
They have PLENTY of parking for this area of town.
Sadly, I was informed that they are moving up toward the Dominion on I-10 in November. This old place (the restaurant has been open since 1985, but the building is MUCH older) is being demolished to make way for another strip center.
If you have never been here, make it a point to visit before they relocate in November 2018. You don’t have much time left folks!

My husband lived in Germany for years and our experience yesterday was compared just like being in Europe. Our server Mario did not rushed us for nothing. Quality of food was excellent, dessert was to die for. We had shrimp scampi, salad, soup, bruschettas, chicken marsala, Tiramisu and a bottle of wine. We had the whole dining experience with no complaints. Everything was on point.. plus I saw on the wall their health Dept inspection.. A/100.

Excellent food and service all in all. Salad was perfectly dressed and seasoned. Had the quail and osso bucco. The quail was very flavorful. Both came with a delicious al Dante risotto.
