We stopped in for dinner during our visit to San Antonio.
They are located downtown in the Market Square, it was easy to find. It was only a few blocks from our hotel, but they also have limited parking.
We both had a delicious burrito.
They were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. We both had margaritas, frozen and on the rocks which was very delicious and hit the spot.
They have plenty of seating both indoors and out. We arrived about an hour before closing and was seated indoors. We were served relatively quickly and the staff was friendly and very attentive.
Overall we had an excellent dining experience. We will stop in again on our next visit to San Antonio.

LOVED IT! Great stop for lunch. The burrito was absolutely delicious. Service was quick and they were all so kind. Live music was played as well with requests being taken. Will absolutely return if in San Antonio again.

Being a local San Antonians, we usually don't frequent restaurants in the Market Square, but today was a special occasion with friends and family visiting San Antonio, and they requested La Margarita Restaurant.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and not crowded. Granted, it was a Wednesday evening. There were 2 other large parties in the restaurant but not crowded at all. Our server was very patient with questions and attentive to our visiting friends and even offered a vegan option. Our food was fresh, colorful, and flavorful. Our drinks were simple margaritas and micholdas. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and drinks. We enjoyed mariachis singing at our table and we some of us sang along with their songs. Note that each song requested is $10, but it is worth it. Overall, we enjoyed our evening and our dining experience in Market Square.

Lunch specials are large portioned and very flavorful. However, if you don't like cilantro, be sure to tell them on the front end. The Tex-Mex Burrito was great as well for a dinner meal (add cheese to the gravy smothering and it's easily a meal you'll come back for again and again!).

Excellent restaurant in Market Square. This is an occasion when I would give more than 5 Stars if I could. We have been coming here since 1992 and the meals and service have always been superb. We were San Antonio residents for 19 years and we always brought our visitors here confident that they would enjoy the experience. I’m sure the road construction on all 4 sides of Market Square isn’t helping, but we didn’t have any trouble finding a parking place.

Unfortunately, there were a few dishes that lacked the punch and finesse expected of Mexican cuisine. My food, though decent, could have benefited from a more robust blend of spices. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality of the food, and the overall ambiance of the place was warm and inviting. Despite the inconsistency in the culinary offerings, the attentive and friendly service provided by the staff was the highlight of the evening. Their efforts went a long way in ensuring our comfort and satisfaction throughout the meal. With some refinements in the kitchen, this restaurant has the potential to become a true culinary hotspot in the area.
House of Devereaux Stone (HODS)
Server gave the table away after greeting us. I think he didn't want to serve a gay couple. Not sure tho. New server was nice. Got the half-chicken, and it was marinated to high hell! SO GOOD! We still decided to tip 18% even though the service could've been better. Margs were bomb. Food & Drinks about an A-, service was about a C+. Overall a B experience, I guess.

La Margarita is a long-time favorite of our family, going back to 1995!! Service and food is always 10/10. We got the parrilladas sampler for 2 with pork, beef fajita, potatoes, onion, chili relleno, tomato, etc. The beef fajita is amazing. Margaritas are great

Good place to eat while seeing the historic market square. You can sit outside and see live music too. Our food was good. Taco Salad 8/10. Shrimp tacos 8/10.

This place was exceptional! The fajitas were so juicy I couldn't stop eating them! We shared a whole skillet full of them. Both chicken and beef fajitas. The tortillas were nice and fluffy, just like I like them lol. The unsweet tea was amazing too! I love that it was dead in the middle of fiesta. You can just leave your number and they text you when your table is ready. We had a good time there.

The food here is alright, there is definitely a markup due to the location which makes sense, its in the middle of a busy market.
Depending on when you go, you may see the waiter often or hardly at all. Chips and salsa are great, definitely a good place to stop by if you just want to relax and have some drinks.

Good food with family. Every thing was great, but the oysters, though good quality, were not shucked properly. Other than that it was a great experience. Our server had our table of 7 plus was assisting a party of twenty plus. She still did an amazing job.

The food was delicious. We were seated quickly. Our waiter was patient with some special requests. And the serving size of food was generous. Also, I frequently order vegetarian enchiladas at other places. This dish came with a good portion of grilled veggies and they were excellent. I definitely recommend this place.
