I live this place the food is good although I've only had the pretzels and beer. The service could be better. We went to the bar and they told us we had to order food from the table and to just sit anywhere. There are tons of people here on the weekends so you sit with random people. you can bring your kids but It may get a little loud like a lot of drunks...
Our service too a while to get to our table when we asked another server if we could order pretzels she told us "you have to wait for your server I can't help you." So we waited and got our pretzels they were amazing! The beers were huge we only needed 1. Love the live entertainment. We will definitely be back.

Had a great experience at the Bier Garten. It was a bit rainy outside, but we still chose to sit out in the courtyard area.
Food and drinks were plentiful and good. Definitely go for the liter of ale and a margarita. The sriracha buffalo wings and habanero mango chicken skewers are highly recommended.
Lily was our server/bartender and was on top of things. Staff was very friendly and was an overall good experience.

Overall this place is fun to visit. Tables were sticky as well as the menus. Potato salad had too much vinegar. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was cold when I got it. Husbands fries were soggy. Absolutely reccomend the krautballs. We got free beer which was AWESOME. Singer wasn't bad. Server was very nice and attentive.

I travel for a living and always look forward to coming here for dinner. Last night my meal and beer were exceptionally perfect! So delicious. This is a hidden gem on the Riverwalk…don’t hesitate to stop here!

The food was pretty good, we really liked the sausage, pretzels and surprisingly the $10 ribs were pretty delicious. Spicy ribs at a German stop? Say what? Lol. But hey, good is good and they were only ten bucks lol. Our family of four shaded the Oktoberfest family sausage platter with all the apps + rack of ribs and it was plenty of food. We all liked everything minus the fried knackwurst balls, I think it was. The service was extremely slow despite the restaurant not being very busy but it was a nice overcast night with light sprinkles so it worked out okay. Just couldn't get refills on our drinks which sucked cuz the ribs were hot hahaha. Overall a fun experience, glad we went.

We had a family outing on the river walk. Food was good but we had an issue with a couple "inclusions" in our food. An honest mistake(from two food service people). Upon making our waiter aware the manager immediately came over. He took care of our meal (which was very generous).
The ambiance was great, alchemy bar was very cool. Our server was great and friendly. Even though we had an issue our food was good. Because of the professionalism handling our table and ambiance we will return

They do have inside seating know if you go and sit outside dress comfortably it will be hot. If you go in the cooler months her in San Antonio it’s perfect for outdoor seating. They also have live 🎶 enjoy!

Great selection of beer! Good happy hour specials! The pretzels and sausage are top notch! Beautiful location down by the river walk! I’m not a huge fan of beer and the beer I got was delicious! Live music was pretty good!! Bathrooms could use some improvement! Great place in San Antonio!

So we found this place on Yelp, it had great reviews and when we got there the venue was nice. We ordered drinks and the sausage sampler. We got the drinks right away but the food NEVER came! Our waitress Andrea never returned to ask how we were doing. the place was less than 30% full. I grabbed her after about 30 something minutes to ask her if it usually takes this long for food and she said she would check. She never came back! I had to get up walk to the bar and ask her again and she asked the bartender what was going on. I told him it was almost an hour now. He never acknowledged me and looked past me to tell her let me check. F'in rude at this point. I'm really pissed but I didn't want the food to be spit on so I just let it go. He disappears into the kitchen and she goes to serve others. No one answers me. I go back to our table and we decided it was best to cancel the order. andrea never returns to the table, so i walk up again and ask her to cancel the order. For the first time she apologizes, rings me up and charges me for the drinks. I go back to the table and pack up the finally someone with a service minded attitude approaches us, sincerely apologizes and says he will refund us the charges he was the manager and his name was Phillip! Thanks Phillip! Would you want to deal with this on your vacation?

On a Tuesday afternoon, had the sampler platter and liter steins of beer at the suggestion of the server who was kind to inform us of happy hour specials. Live music on the weekends and a fine selection of beers. Definitely a place for beer drinkers or if you're looking for German food.

Entertainment caught out interest. Beer was flat and not very cold. Would not return to this place. Waitress was not very good as well. Gave us attitude when we went to pay the bill. Too bad, because I wanted to come back and try the food.

Our first time was this past Sunday for my son-in-law’s birthday. It was pretty good, only two things were not good, I got a paddle a beer and I didn’t know which beer I was drinking as they don’t specify. I’m not sure if it comes as the menu states. And my waitress got our order wrong I didn’t realize it till I had gotten the bill. 😒😞😩. They had good music and the musicians interacted with the customers which was pretty cool. It is a little pricey tho. All in all it was fun, and enjoyed the food and drink!!

Great food, fun, exciting atmosphere with sing along and TVs to watch the games too. Even if you don’t partake in the drinking it’s still a a great place to go.
