Visited this place on recommendation from a former SAT resident. The pizza: sexy. Legitimate Italian dough and technique makes every bite of the traditional pizza options an aromatic and explosive adventure! The vibe is pizza-chic with ample seating and comfortable visibility of the gorgeous brick oven. My service was exceptional, they caught mistakes before I did. Great wine list with global options. Give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!
My wife and son and I went to Dough for dinner Monday night and had a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect, Dave our server and his trainee Jen did a phenomenal job explaining menu items to us, suggestive selling the burrata and other items and generally making sure we wanted for nothing. My son loved it and when our main pizza came out a tad undercooked, the staff at Dough fixed it immediately and sent us home with a brand new Togo pizza. Amazing job!
This is a 5 Star joint!!! Really nice atmosphere and the food is PHENOMENAL. We are talking legit Northern Italian Cuisine. Pizza & Burrata was off the chain. Service amazing, Jennifer helped us decide and was super sweet. I am an NY’er and the Pizza is top shelf don’t miss this place 🙏🏼
Rated as one of the Top Restaurants in San Antonio…. Absolutely! Don’t be turned away that it’s tucked in a side street strip mall. This is a favorite for locals as you can tell.
The cocktails are top notch and mixed well. Our waiter was prompt and very informative on the menu. We started with the Seasonal Burrata appetizer and had the Margarita Pizza. This dish was featured on the Food Network and was Fired to perfection. Now I see why Dough is in the name…. We ended with the Panna Cotta for dessert… check out the dessert menu in my photos. This would be a 10/10 if I could rate it! Do yourself a favor and stop in … you won’t be disappointed!
1st time here, BF knows how much I enjoy pizza and how rather picky I am (being from the east coast) and this place did not disappoint at all. The italian sodas were also very good!
Always a fantastic experience at Dough! You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and the mozzarella burrata appetizer is out of the world. The service is excellent, and they have a very good drink menu as well, not to mention the pizza - cheese, crust, and sauce are all incredible. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in town!
AMAZING! Every dish is delicious , I tried the Zappa of the day , the Pizza of the season and the Burrata ‘sampler’ and everything was outstanding. The service is great, the waiter was very kind. Absolutely recommend it.
Most authentic Italian pizza restaurant 🍕 in San Antonio! Had an amazing night with my coworkers there 😋
First time here after my wife INSISTED I join her for lunch (she has been here too many times to count). Thought it would be too posh for my taste buds, but heck was I wrong! EVERYTHING my lips touched tasted AMAZING!
Started with the 'Signature Burraya al Tartufo' and finished our lunch with the 'Ezzo's Cupping Pepperoni Pizza'.
This was my first time trying a Burraya and boy howdy was I blown away! The tomatoes were picked from their own personal garden and we're the sweetest and juiciest I have ever tasted. I'm not even a tomato person! The balsamic reduction complemented everything on that dish, not that it needed any help; everything was bursting with flavor. The Flatbread arrived on the table crunchy, soft, warm. It's really stole the show.
Next came the Cupping Pepperoni Pizza. The crust was thin and crispy yet soft and warm. The tomato sauce with light and flavorful and did not take center stage. You could taste a freshness of the mozzarella and pepperoni. It was a fine dish for a perfect ending.
In conclusion I'll be coming back for lunch and dinner, if not for the pizza, definitely for the Burraya!
The food was good . Be prepared for the shock of prices. $$$$ The pizza was a very thin crust with little sauce on it, in which I prefer a little more on my pizza. Recommend using a knife and fork to eat it with as if you have extra ingredients on it, they will fall off if you try to pick it up like traditional pizza. The antipasto was very good, but on the pricey side. Desserts were very good, too. Unfortunately, the economy has caused an increase in prices for all.
