Review Campos Roastery & Kitchen - Salt Lake City

Stopped by here today for the first time, I ordered a cappuccino with heavy cream and added shot, the coffee tasted extraordinarily great! I was very impressed as a coffee nerd. However, the only thing let me down is that the cocoa powder they use for topping has sugar in it. Which is a beautiful bonus and probably fine for most people, but I can't take sugar in my coffee it'll get me headache, and personally I think that "ruins" the original coffee taste which is very high quality. When I asked the barista she explained to me friendly and made me a new one without the topping right away, I really appreciated that. Long story short, I wish they could at least give you a note that all coffee come with the sweet cocoa powder topping, so that the customers can decide whether they want it or not. Overall the quality of coffee, service, atmosphere everything was great, would love to come back again before leaving SLT.

Enjoyed my experience here! The food was delicious, the wait wasn’t too long, and I love the layout of the place. I like how you can see into the kitchen while they are preparing food and the overall style of the space. I had their strawberry ricotta (very good), and my friends liked their Brekkie Sandwiches.

The minimalist modern design is great. Overall I felt cashier service was friendlier and welcoming than servers. It was my first time visiting with my friends and the cashier helped us with recommendations and kept a positive attitude. Our experience with the server was all right but his attitude made us feel a little uncomfortable; maybe he wasn't having a good day but still~ Overall I felt content with the food, drinks, place and most of the service. This place is amazing but I hope it doesn't go to waste due to service given that there are other reviews that complain about it.

This place is awesome! It's a little taste of authentic Australian cafe culture, just like home. The espresso is wonderful, the food is great. Plus they serve babychinos! We had smashed avo and eggs Benedict (👌 hollandaise). The staff were lovely and super attentive. This is going to be a regular haunt for us from now on!

The atmosphere is so good and fancy interior really lifts up your mood. Came here for Saturday brunch and there were so many people... There are spots for peoples with laptop with plugs. Loved that I could enjoy the cup of excellence with great price!! (I think it was only $6 for a cup of drip coffee) Worth trying it and would like to try other beans later!!

This was the best meal we had in SLC. Many new American breakfast places often serve inventively looking food but they usually taste mediocre, but not Campos. I took my parents and sister there for breakfast on an early Friday morning around 10 am. We sat down and ordered drinks. Saw the picture of the Coffee Flight online and I must order it. It did not disappoint. My favorite of the three was the Piccolo Affogato, so rich and satisfying. The food we had didn't disappoint either. I had the BLAT, the avocado and the thick cut bacon were definitely the highlights of the dish. The Egg Benedict was served with Speck rather than traditional Canadian bacon, and it definitely had an enhanced rich flavor because of the ham. The Superfood Bowl was also great with fresh berry and a good portion of berry sorbet, which was refreshing. The Shrimp and Grits were rich and flavorful. All in all, it was a great and delightful end to our Utah vacation at Campos before we hopped on the flight to fly back home.

Campos Coffee Roastery & Kitchen is incredible!!! Staff was friendly and welcoming. The coffee is great. Let me tell you about the Eggs Benedict........the heavens open as this descends upon your tastebuds. There is this beautiful balance of textures and flavors. Crispy toast, soft salty prosciutto, and the smooth silky poached egg topped with a buttery abundance of hollandaise sauce and garnish. It took me to another place! BEST Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had!!! My hats off to this place and I will return again and again and again.

A solid coffee shop with great atmosphere and good snacks too! Some healthy options available. The mushroom toast was delicious. Parking can be an issue unless it's the weekend. A lot of the staff have fun Aussie accents too!

I can’t say enough good things about Campos. The atmosphere is gorgeous. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Always makes a place even better 🥰 The coffee and food are absolutely AMAZING. It’s a great spot to try some delicious new coffee. The espresso is some of the creamiest most wonderful espresso I’ve ever had. They have a huge variety of mimosas to make brunch that much better too! Their eggs Benedict is my personal go to & the Australian iced coffees are such an awesome treat. Campos is an all time favorite of mine & I can’t recommend it enough! @hhungryhhomies

Great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch or just coffee! I had the fig toast and is amazing!!! All the tables have power plugs so you can plug you phone or laptop. Service is great! They don’t bother you every 30 seconds, they let you enjoy and take time to eat. The decor is very modern. The place is really beautiful and clean! My kind of dream shop! Loved it!

I can't say nice enough on Campos. The atmosphere is stunning. The workers are very kind and accommodating.  The place is perfect!  The food and the coffee were positively AMAZING. Try some tasty new coffee it's a fantastic place. The espresso is one of the most amazing espresso I've ever had in sugar. They have a huge selection of mimosas to make brunch even better too! Their eggs Benedict is my particular favorite and the iced Australian coffees are such an outstanding treat.

Wonderful addition to downtown SLC coffee scene, especially for “coffee foodies”. We originally intended to just grab a cup to go and loved the vibe so stayed for breakfast which was great. They have flights which allow you to try the same coffee bean prepared 3 different ways. Persimmon and ricotta toast with hazelnuts and balsamic reduction was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Veggie burger had the best thin sliced pickles which gave it a unique flavor and the fries (breakfast fries? Lol) were perfect. A tad pricey, but given the mission of the company, “Quality Coffee Cultivated by Good,” worth it for us.

I have found my new favorite place of all time, I would love to give them 10 stars if I could. As a restaurant, as a coffee shop, or as a coffee roaster, Campos had the highest quality of any place we have been to and has now become my favorite stop in Utah. Not only is the decor of the highest quality but the modern industrial feel of the space just made it a great place to hang out and enjoy the experience. Now to the food....we chose to enjoy the biscuits and gravy and the summer shrimp toast. The shrimp toast was incredibly delicious, light and summery, the perfect combination of a salty sourdough with Avacado spread and a sweet peach topping with vinegarette. But the biscuits and gravy, let me tell you, I love biscuits and I'm a big fan of gravy, Campos is without a doubt my number one when it comes to their biscuits. I have never had a biscuit that was more soft and moist on the inside while having a beautifully crisp and buttery crunch on the outside. The gravy was an amazing blend of sausage and spices that created the best flavor I could have imagined. The entire ensemble was simply phenomenal. That's not even getting to how tasty the coffee is, I highly recommend their specialty of the Australian Coffee, it's made with ice cream!!

Stopped by this place today and had a a nice nostalgic experience, feeding off of the Australian vibe it has. No guarantee you’ll have it, though! They don’t bleed Australia, but their business model definitely reminded me of the down under. Coffee; black; pour overs; I had a special Campos blend of Ethiopian and Geisha (panama). It was excellent! The entire staff was very friendly and personable. The space is still under some light construction, but it doesn’t take away from the experience at all. I wish I would be around to see the finished product (roof area). This company obviously has big plans here, and I think they will do great. I didn’t try any of the food, but from what I observed it seemed to fit the profile of upscale snacks / light lunch items that you would expect from a third wave coffee shop. They definitely have more food options than most; so feel free to stop here for lunch! Being in the third wave coffee market, my criticism is that they only have one bean to offer for a pour over. They say this will change often. I would say after visiting many of the coffee shops there in SLC, they should provide at least 2-3 options. They use a programmable pour over system, do I’d imagine its not a problem to load more than one recipe in the system at a time. I will definitely return when I come back to SLC!

Slightly hidden location, but it's a gem. Beautiful light and bright cafe with big windows that open in warm weather. Great separate coffee area with pastries and a larger seating area for those eating in or working.

Came in for a visit around lunchtime on the 4th of July and the place was packed, which considering how hidden and off the beaten path it is, is quite amazing. First impression as you walk in is the beautiful buildout and design of an old building that has been given new life. Simply beautiful and extremely satisfying to be in this environment. Staff is unreal, really....we had 5 servers interact with us and an empty plate never lasted more than 45 seconds on the table before it was swooped up. Everyone was super friendly and genuinely kind to our children. Food was flavorful, creative and beautiful. Supper excited to have Campos in the neighborhood!

Came here for the first time today and absolutely loved it! I was in love with the relaxed atmosphere and I ordered the Essential Toast which was the best avalado toast I have ever had. Presentation of both my drink and food was beautiful!

Really impressed by everything about the new Campos location. Great black coffee, espresso, and milk drinks, great food, and a really fun atmosphere. Salt Lake has become home to some great roasters and coffee shops over the past decade or so, but after my first visit to Campos SLC, it's very clear this is going to be my top pick for the best overall coffee experience in the future. Nobody else has this fun of an atmosphere, as much focus on being able to consistently get really crazy beans (I've had Campos 3 times between SLC and PC now and I've managed to get a very reasonably priced Gesha two of those times!), and as good of food to match the coffee. I'm impressed.

Do not bother with this restaurant until they are more established in the community. The location and general ambiance of the restaurant is nice but it is not pet allergen free and has universal accessibility challenges (spacing between tables is very narrow and certain regions of the establishment are only accessible via stairs). The service was bad at best. No hosts greeted guests and they do not have a queue system for seating guests; they told us to explore the restaurant and find any available seats. The waist staff did little to tend to us, we were not given water until half way through our visit, and they rushed to get us out of the restaurant. We arrived for brunch during a busy time but our orders were not taken until we were sat down for over 30 minutes, and it took another 30 minutes for the food to arrive, despite being a fully staffed restaurant. I ordered the bacon and egg breakfast sandwich and the components were not seasoned; it was also expensive for a dish with no sides and reminiscent of fast food breakfast sandwiches. The other guests at my table were pleased with their meals, but the portions were small and we left hungry. The coffee beverages we ordered tasted good but took at least 20 minutes to arrive to our table and came in disposable plastic cups with plastic lids, disappointingly not ecofriendly. The paper napkins delivered to our table were already dirtied upon arrival.

I had Campos pretty much 4 days a week for the 4 years that I lived in Sydney. When they opened their first US shop in Park City (40 min from me) I made my husband drive us through a Blizzard for opening day. When the Kitchen opened up in downtown SLC (10 minutes from me) I came again on opening day and was elated. It's like I can take a few minutes whenever I need it to slow down and feel the Sydney coffeeshop culture again. Everything is just as good as it was in OZ and makes me feel home in a home away from home. :) Awesome staff, perfect location and great vibes. So happy!

Loved the ambience, the food, the location, and the service. And, I am fine dining in a restaurant with legit, highly trained service animals. Lap dogs don’t make that cut. Dogs are only legally allowed on patios of restaurants with certain variances, not inside the building in common dining areas. It’s a public health thing.

Ian was really helpful making me a iced tea when you guys didnt even have it available! Definitely going back
