My husband and I came early in a Friday around 530p. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, decorated in a Mexican style and best of all was quiet! We ordered the chimichanga appetizer and shared a burrito—more than enough for the two of us. The appetizer was very good, but neither of us loved the burrito, but only because we didn’t love the flavor not because it was poorly made. We’d be willing to return and try something different. Our server was attentive and responsive without being overbearing. It’s expensive at $20 for a burrito, but the portions are large and our server was very thoughtful to split our order onto two plates without being asked. The complimentary chips and salsa were very good! A good option if you’re in the mood for Mexican.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while & wasn't disappointed. I definitely want to go back soon. I was so happy that they had gluten free options & that the waiter was so understanding about my questions about what dishes were gluten-free.

I took my son here to celebrate him getting a new job and we just loved the atmosphere it felt like we were eating cafe in cancun and the food was amazing . I ordered a crab quesadilla with real crab meat that tasted so fresh . I highly recommend you try Tres Homer's at least once!!

my first time here, and it was pleasant, but it could’ve been a little bit better. We had a table reserved for a surprise birthday party, but when we arrived, the table was not ready. This is forgivable, and the rest of the evening was quite pleasant.
drinks were nice, chips and salsa were quite good, service was swift, and the dinners were of a reasonable proportion and very delicious
parking was pretty easy, even on a Saturday evening. The wait area was nice and the atmosphere is decent.

Our waiter was outstanding. The building has lots of character and was clean. I really enjoyed the food and the fried ice cream. I'm not sure if this is a family owned restaurant but it had that feel.

Very fine food and the ice tea is good. Doesn’t taste like it was made in a coffee pot. Chips and salsa are delicious. I go there at least one a week.

Have been here a couple times and the food has always been very very delicious. Food has great flavor and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend their battered mahi mahi tacos!

Large restaurant with plenty of seating. I got the vegetarian fajitas and they were very good and my husband got a steak burrito. Another person got the mahi-mahi and said it was good. The flautas were very bland and boring said our friend. Salsa was fantastic and our server Amanda was friendly and noticed our needs quickly. I’d definitely eat here again.

Javier gave a great service at lunchtime. Really enjoyed the enchiladas, food was prepared well and chicken had good flavor. Guacamole and salsa were also very nice along with the large basket of chips.

Our dinner was tasty, moderately priced and our server friendly. The ambiance is tropical Mexican with lots of plants, the night pastels characteristic of many areas in Mexico. They specialize offering many brands of tequila. Nice place! Give them a try

This restaurant has been in Salt Lake for many, many years. This was the first time I have been and I really enjoyed it. The chips were fabulous and they kept giving me more when I needed them. It was a joy just sitting down and having chips and salsa. I got the blue tacos which were pretty good. I'm not sure if I was a fan of the hard blue taco shells. But all in all it was a good meal. The serving of guacamole was very generous. It is an experience just going to this restaurant. I would definitely try it out if you're in the area. The parking is in the back and you have to go up a lot of stairs to get to the restaurant. I was lucky to get a spot as this restaurant is pretty popular. It can be difficult to find parking. They do offer t-shirts that are really cute if you want to take a souvenir home with you.

Best Mexican in all the valley! Best atmosphere, best food, best service. They have the most delicious chips and salsa and I am not the only person that says that. I hope they never change whatever they do. I have had a lot of different things there and never disappointed. My family has been going here for over 30 years. As I child I did not like anything about the restaurant, but about 15 years ago they remodeled, the food stepped up, and the service got so much better. I love introducing people here. This is no. 1!!

Sweet pork chimichanga. Good food, good service. I went for lunch on a Monday. Not busy. I would definitely do again.

My oaxaca enchiladas were very good, probably the best enchiladas I've ever had, but the fish tacos were an explosion of flavor that blew my mind. Love the building, decor, and atmosphere (it's very nice to get out of the heat)and the staff are all very nice and good at what they do. Props to the chef and cooks that is some seriously good higher end Mexican food.

The food was amazing! Down to the chips! I don't think you can go wrong with anything on this menu. The food is always fresh, all the sauces are hand made.
The ambience is fun but not overwhelming. The restaurant is spotless. It's a great place to share a meal.
The service is friendly, fast (even on a weekend lunch rush), and 5 stars.
We got the steak chimichanga, chorizo stuffed burrito, and the carnitas. All three of us had enough to bring home for later.
I highly reccomend this resturant!
Thanks Jose for being such an amazing server. And to the rest of the staff for giving our party a fantastic lunch!

Very good catering! We have used them a few times for catering and the food was delivered hot and yummy. We eat in the restaurant about once a month and catering is the same quality. Highly reocmmend!

All the dinner dishes are around $15, so if you're on a budget stick to the appetizers or al a Carte items. Two of us got the los hombres appetizer special --$17 for nachos, chimichanga, quesadilla, taquitos--more than enough for two. We sampled all three of there meats--shredded beef, chicken, and sweet pork and didn't like any of them. Sweet pork was super bland. The quesadilla was good, and the complementary chips and salsa were good. Stick to a non-meat dish is my advice. Ate here 15 years ago and only remember the impression that I was not a fan. Yep, I was right--not a fan.

Was super dissapointed in the food that we were served tonight. I ordered a chicken salad that had hardly any lettuce and my chicken tasted like it was bad.I didnt even eat it because i didnt want food poisoning. My sister had fajitas that were dry and the mexican rice was more like boxed rice-a-roni. For the price we paid we should have been served fresh food!

When my brother found half of a cricket in his margarita, the manager got pissy with us and eventually brought a new drink. No apology, no comp on the drink. Just hostility. I won't be going back.

Been there numerous times. They advertise heavily about their alcohol and my friend and I go in to split an appetizer and have some drinks. We've never had any problems until today when we were told we were required to buy a full meal to have another drink unless it was a beer. We weren't drunk or even buzzed. The appetizer was enough for a full meal for each of us. The manager randomly made his own rules and we certainly won't be going back. The drinks are good and the food is so so but after that treatment I'm done.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere.... Convenent location for a good lunch and a fun time! I would recommend people trying it for lunch or dinner!

My husband and kids took me for lunch for Mother's Day and we had an awful experience. We went around 2 pm so it wasn't crowded at all but the service was so slow! We didn't have enough silverware or water and had to ask several times for each. Our waiter was totally unresponsive and the rest of the staff was also incredibly unfriendly. My husband's order came out wrong but we didn't bother sending it back because of how slow the service was. The food tasted okay but for the price we felt it should have been much better. I was really disappointed; we really used to love this place. Not sure why it has gone so down hill.

I love this place. The food, service, and the atmosphere is really awesome.

Best Mexican food ever, average price and copious amount of food.Great atmosphere.

the shredded beef is delicious. their special marguerita was ok, but being a special 10.00 was a bit high price.
Stephanie Beck
Tres Hombres is the best!! Always great service and good food! Their drink options are awesome as well!

Overprice , no quality, bad experience , I definitely never come back again in my entire life .

Loved the seafood enchiladas - saved half for lunch the next day! Full of shrimp and real crab - so good !!!
Diana Bullock
My hubby and I went after talking about going here after 22 years. The food was pretty good and chips and salsa were not bad. I might have to go back again based on some other posts that said this place is bad.i will post an update if my next visit changed my rating.

It has a cool, comfortable atmosphere, reminiscent of the central courtyards of Mexico. Our family has ordered many dishes including tacos, chimichangas, salads and seafood, all of which were generously prepared and delicious. Service is consistently quick and attentive. Seating is comfortable, and tables are nicely spaced for patron comfort. Prices are quite reasonable and most time half of our food becomes lunch the next day.
