Absolutely Amazing. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable servers. The food was cooked to perfection. I got the mussels and Clams and I cannot say enough about the sauce, it was the perfect balance. My husband had the Sea Bass, it was inspired cooked perfectly and the best hummus I have ever tried. If that was not enough, the fried gingerbread is a must, we had them put ice cream on the side, normally comes on top. Bread was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside with a beautiful mix of spices. Great Date Night experience.

Located in one of the oldest buildings in Salt Lake City, "Martine" design flows from the late nineteenth century building materials; sandstone, brick and oak. 😀 The atmosphere is quiet which eased reading 📖 For lunch I had salmon salad, orange cocktail & Afoggato which is an Italian style dessert served with a cookie poured with a shot of Mill Creek Roasters expresso and Tahitian Vanilla ice cream on the side 👌 The staff was knowledgeable and kind*o* Thank you Carlos !!

Martine Cafe was absolutely wonderful! We went for our anniversary and had the most lovely dinner. We ordered several small plates to share and the food was delicious. Things that are normally nothing special (like grits or hummus) were beyond amazing. I joked about licking the plate clean. A special touch was being able to get a bottle of wine from the year we were married. Our waiter apologized a couple of times for the wait for food, but it felt like the right timing for a leisurely romantic dinner. I have recommended Martine to several friends.

Fantastic menu that slightly changes throughout the year to always give you something new to try. I've come here with a party of 14 and also a party of just 2 and they handled each with the same level of care and outstanding service. I highly suggest anything on their menu but have never been disappointed by their various steaks or pastas. Everytime I go I order the affogato for dessert then think about it constantly until I go back.

Great Spanish restaurant in a historic building in downtown Salt Lake. Just across the street from the City Creek mall and the chain restaurants around that area so you can get a more original meal in a better environment. The Regency parking is right around the corner if you drive. Daily specials are always a great choice. The staff is very accomodating and friendly.

I came here with my husband and we both had a really good time. It's at a great location across from City Creek, the building is historic and very cool, the service was very fast, and the food was delicious. I had salmon, and my husband had the burger. I can't wait to come back and try something new.

Took family to eat here after Trip Advisor search. Turned out it was correct! We had three people waiting on us, the food was prompt and it was very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasing as they have spent money for the decor and furniture. We had a very good time, enjoyed our experience, and would recommend others seeking Indian food for their meal. Thumbs up! We would go back here again.

My wife and I had an incredible dinner here, and we owe a lot of that to our server, Alan, who recommended we be a little adventurous and try a bit of everything. We did, and every dish was so great. We tried the gnocchi, the pork belly, and the salmon. Each plate had such great flavor. Even the green salad was delicious! I know we'll be back soon. The restaurant is in an historic brownstone over a century old... It used to house a bank, and the original vault door is still on site. This place is class.

I loved the ambiance and the historical look of the building. Thereservice was very good and the vibe of the place seemed authentic.I got the sea bass with creamed corn. The bass was pretty good but the corn was the clear winner of the dish.The hubs got the Martine burger. It was juicy and full of flavor but a tad too bitter with the arugula and slaw type sauce they put on it.

Martin's is a long time favorite of mine. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and competent. The food is high quality and worth the price. One of my favorites is the hamburger and anything else they have in the menu. Walk-ins are welcome, but it's helpful to make a reservation as they have limited seating to preserve the dining experience.

The food was phenomenal, the service exceptional. Ed the chef is a culinary genius, and Katherine took care of us like we were guests in her home.You have to try the pork cheek small plate, you'll be transcended. Can't wait to go again.

Had a great time. Someone met us with a smile the minute we walked through the door. The menu was awesome, our server was kind and attentive. I loved the olives! Our food was delicious, and the deserts were over the top! Chocolate decadence with whipped Mascarpone is not to be missed!

Martine is a true downtown gem and one of my favorite restaurants in Utah. Perched just above street level in a handsome brownstone building, this place never disappoints. Delicious and creative tapas, amazing meat dishes, unusual (and very tasty) soups. I've been here many times over the years and have never had a bad meal...dishes range from "good" to "amazing". Great atmosphere for a romantic night out or for a business meeting. Not cheap but definitely worth it. Enjoy!

Pleasant experience and what a hidden gem! I can't say enough about Martine cafe, but I will say this. From the moment you walk in, you'll feel a warm welcome! Thank you, Rebecca (Bex) & Jules. We love being taken care of, and your customer service was outstanding. We asked all sorts of questions about the dishes they had, and most of our chooses were recommendation ( they did not disappoint) First, we experienced the Brussels sprouts... Delicious! I've been terrified of them for quite some time now because no one seems to be able to cook them right, so I was hesitant... They were cooked perfectly! A delicious hint of lime and capers topped with some cheeses. Yellow curry coconut clams were our second recommendation. This dish is also a big hit or miss for you because it can be completely bland and tasteless or a total delicacy. Note: for the Chef. You’re a fantastic craftsman. I don’t want to say much about the dish because you simply have to try it! We finished off with a Martin burger as it was our first time, and even tho we wanted some of the salmon ( we shall return), You ever think your self “burgers aren’t the same anymore, they just all taste kinda blah.” Their tasty burger will bring back that good old fantastic burger feeling to your tastebuds. Overall the experience was terrific and is much recommended for a night out with friends or coworkers. Again, thank you guys for the attention, and we will see you soon

Great option before going to a show at the Eccles Theater around the corner. We stopped in tonight, and enjoyed the staff, atmosphere and the lovely menu. Martine never disappoints, and is always a great option to enjoy a nice bottle of wine and delicious small plates with friends. We have season tickets to the Broadway Series, and look forward to many evenings at Martine.

I had such a great experience here! I'll admit, I was worried when I saw the menu.. I had no clue what anything was. I was worried it was just another place trying (and failing) to be gourmet... I was quickly proven wrong. We ordered a ton of food and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. The waiter (Christian) was very helpful and had a knowledge of the wines that was out of this world. All around, it was an awesome experience. I think it's safe to say I would trust absolutely anything on their ever-changing menu.

Several disappointments: the table was actually too small for what we ordered. We were not reminded of the absurd Utah liquor law regarding the number of drinks allowed on the table for each individual at any given time. I would have instructed our server to pace each course to match the finished consumption of each round of drinks before going on to the next course. Or ask if we were ready to move on to the next course and round before ordering up the entree. As it was, a good hot toddy went unfinished, as did an Agent Orange. As a consequence, our wine was late for pairing with our entree and left me with a fair amount that overlapped with my dessert. I couldn’t let my dessert go cold, an affogato. That would be a good way to spoil the richness of that, and ended up finishing my wine after dessert. � The water glass and jug ran empty and had to be called for refill, a small disappointment that is always noticed in this dry climate. Not rushing the table for a turn (?) or being a thoughtful guide regarding the pace would be appreciated in the future. Additionally, I asked for a warm, quiet table and was placed near the front door where a cool gust of wind would blow over us when the door opened and that followed with the sound of snow covered stomping feet. Our server was pleasant, but could have been more familiar with the wine and liquor selection. Overall, it was a pleasant dinner, but the timing of each course and location of the table were shortcomings that did distract from the full enjoyment of each part of the meal. C’est la vie. We left a healthy tip, but it would have been more were it not for those few things. The potato crusted sea bass over a purée of cauliflower and a side of haricot verts was excellent. The viognier was as good as any I’ve ever had. The affogato was pleasant. I finished the meal with the last of the viognier and some water. � Next time, I’ll ask to be seated in a booth. This place has consistently good food. Just be on your toes with the maitre d and the server. Cheers!

The waitstaff was awesome. The owner brought over one of our dishes and sat and talked with us for awhile, it was great! Also we told them it was our 10 year anniversary so they gave us a private section all to ourselves. I have never felt so pampered. Oh and p.s. Their food is out of this world AMAZING! We want to go back for every anniversary
