When I get a hankering for chicken and waffles, pig, and a jelly jar is the place to go! I was sad to see the holiday. Location closed yet delighted the one on fourth E. and ninth south was real fast and ready for me this morning! I also tried the hot chocolate, which is very interesting and very good. I confess I got whipped cream on it, which I almost never do, and it was delish! Notice the tips included in their fees, so no need to leave an additional one.

Cool place. Food was amazing! The hash was so good. I've been dreaming about eating here again. Its a cute funky place and I absolutely loved it and will be coming back!

Quiet little spot that serves up food pretty quick. Average price and the food was good. Little light on the aioli but not bad at all. I would eat here again.

Great food and love that they are a company that pays their employees proper wages and provides education opportunities for their employees! A great place to support, especially since it has delicious food for brunch.

Absolutely will be back. You order first at the counter and pay. Once a table is ready they will seat you and bring your order. You wait inside for them to call your name. Really good service. Ordered 4 dishes for $60 which is pretty good and portions were large. My favorite was the chicken and waffles!

This is a small, but very nice little place with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a sign that they pay their employees an hourly wage and 18% is automatically added to your bill.
We visited here on a sunny, but chilly day. Originally, we sat outside, but being in the shade, it was a little too chilly and the host graciously moved us inside.
The food was absolutely delicious! I had the biscuits and gravy and was not disappointed.

This is good, and the start of something great.
Fun atmosphere, High use of technology. Tasty food.
Was asked to wait 15 minutes to clear out the restaurant, which was a bit off putting. Everything must be ordered before you are offered a seat, which is different for a similarly set up dining place.
The biscuits were a tad on the dry side. No sausage in the biscuits and gravy (maybe I should have specified, don’t know).
The plates, utensils, serving ware was spotless, but there are a lot of high use items that need refreshing (games, tables, etc).
Staff is super friendly and move at a moderate pace.
Aside from the detailed critique above (every needs some honest feedback), it really is a good restaurant. Delicious and flavorful. High quality, just needs some refinement and a few rough edges smoothed out.
This place rides along an edgy cultural ledge, but seems a bit rough in a few spots.

Cute place, small but cute. Coffe was great. Portion of food was good but chicken needed some flavor and really didnt have the right fried chicken consistency..i might bias from the south lol. Waffle was not hot and felt under cooked.

Solid place for breakfast. The burger was delicious. The chicken could use some more seasoning. Service is great

This place was recommended to me by my cousin. The staff was very nice and service was great. The server even politelu listened to my grandparents tell stories about our family.
The food was great. I had the kitchen sink scramble and they kindly made it without peppers at my request.
Atmosphere was great. Great spot for a cute patio in the summer.
There was parking right out front.

This is one of the local’s favorite brunch places. We enjoyed the food, tasty. The service was good. However, it’s pretty small portion and absolutely inflated price.

We went back to the Pig and a Jelly Jar yesterday. Food was absolutely delicious. We had chicken and waffles, chicken and biscuits with gravy, and waffle picks and fix. The only thing better than the food was the service. Fabian is absolutely amazing running the front of the house. He's incredibly friendly and professional. I really wish every restaurant I visit from now on would have Fabian there.
I had the fries with gravy than pulled pork sandwich. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was great.

If you're looking for a dining adventure that combines American comfort food with a quirky twist, Pig & a Jelly Jar in Salt Lake City should be at the top of your list.

My first time visiting was spectacular! I had to try the chicken and waffles. They didn’t disappoint! My waffle was perfectly soft and buttery. I really appreciated being able to have scrambled eggs instead of the over-medium option that was advertised. (I’m weird about my eggs sometimes!) The mimosa was perfect. My partner loved the BBQ pork sando as well.
The service was lovely. It was a sleepy weekday morning and everyone up front was very kind. They do counter service here, which was quick and easy. They’ve got a big menu up front and some smaller paper ones for you.
Then there is the 18% hospitality fee added. My thing is…if you can afford to go drop $40 on brunch and drinks, how much trouble is another $7, really? It doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to show appreciation to people providing a service to you. Thank y’all for your hard work. We’ll be back! 🐽

We ordered chicken and waffles and biscuits and gravy. The chicken and waffles were among the best I’ve ever had. All the food was gone within a matter of minutes. The staff was very quick with our orders and helpful and checked on us frequently. The games were fun while we waited. A very good experience overall!
