I have been coming here for years but this is my first review. I was seated against the back wall - perfect for my nature. Out of the way; quiet; and easy to hail a waiter. Service to the table was attentive. The waiter chatted with me and told me the restaurant had been open 27 years. Service gets a 5+.
The food was simply exceptional compared to all other Vietnamese restaurants I have visited lately. I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken over Rice. The sauce was the right thickness, i.e, not runny and not clumpy. Tasted great. The chicken was done perfectly - stir fried, I think. The crisply egg rolls were astonishing. I never had them prepared that way before. My new favorite and something I'll try at home. Food gets a 5+.
I am not a fan of "fast food" restaurants where you have to order from the counter. This place is a classy dining area to say the least. The decor was well done and clean all the way around. Atmosphere gets 5+.
Mi La-Cai Noodle House is now at the top of my Vietnamese Restaurant List. Every other Vietnamese restaurant I've been to has a ways to go to top this place. I will be back.
I definitely recommend this place if you are a fan of Pho. We were on vacation and found this Vietnamese place. Beef brisket Pho is 10/10. We also got the krab Rangoon as an entree and we were surprised on how good it tasted. We are always disappointed when we try krab Rangoon but this time it was delicious. The food came out very fast and the prices were very acceptable. The parking lot is a little bit small but we were lucky to find parking without any issue. We would definitely go back to this place.
Delicious food! I am visiting from out of state and am a foodie, I tried la cai-noodle soup, bun steak egg roll, assorted lo mein and loved everything, great quality food!
Loved the beef & brisket pho! Was able to get a table straight away this morning, and the service was impeccable. I was slamming waters after a long walk and someone was around to fill the glass every 2-3 minutes.
Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in a mood for pho in SLC. Everything was delicious and well priced.
This place was packed when we got here. We decided to wait and I'm glad we waited because the food was fantastic. My favorite was the fried egg rolls - the pork, carrots, and noodles blend so well together. I decided to try the option for egg noodles and it was good. Everyone was kind and the owner had a nice smile. Will definitely visit again.
Wow this place is amazing! Don't let the outside size of the restaurant fool you. The food was outstanding here. We ordered their Egg Rolls which were amazing with lettuce wrapped around them. We also ordered their Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Wow! The flavors were delicious. I especially loved the crunch of their wraps. For our main dish we went with their House Stir Fried Beef and Walnut Shrimp. Both were absolutely spot on for flavor and freshness. The service was also top notch. I would highly recommend.
I’ve been coming to this place for over a decade, it it’s so good. I love the egg rolls and their wonton and rice noodle soup. I would also recommend their garlic tofu or eggplant dishes, as well as anything steak. I’m a big fan of this place. I also appreciate that there is a parking lot that’s easy to get around, while downtown.
Visiting from out of town. I ordered the chicken curry and it was delicious. I also tried the food of my family members at the table and their plates were savory as well. The service was great and the food was served fast.
This is 1 of my 2 favorite Vietnamese restaurants in UT. I pretty much always get the same entree: the Lemongrass Chili Shrimp. It's so delicious - spicy and savory. The shrimps are nice and big. I cannot find the same caliber of this dish anywhere else. I've tried. Their wonton soup is also my favorite wonton soup, which I have as an appetizer. The broth is perfection and the wonton wraps are thin and delicate. Everything I've tried at Mi La-Cai Noodle House is delicious.
We came here based on a recommendation from a coworker for a good place in downtown Salt Lake City on the less expensive side. This place did not disappoint! The outside looks kind of rundown, so I’ve never tried it despite having driven by a lot. The inside is quite lovely though, and it was clean, including the bathrooms. We were seated right away, and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We tried the egg rolls and the potstickers. They were both delicious! Perfect level of crispy on both. The egg roll was one of the best I’ve had. I got the beef crispy noodles and my husband got the assorted lo mein. The char siu pork was our favorite. I preferred the lo mein to the crispy noodles. They had a big bowl of fortune cookies by the door. I love that they don’t lock up and be stingy with the fortune cookies like every other Asian restaurant! We will definitely come again!
