The Lion House - Salt Lake City - Photo album

Historic place to visit for a nice freshly baked and coke food. A long queue from the out side but it move fast. Few simply selection for the main course. Side dishes were nice too. Lovely homey setting.
Lion house is a historic place. It is located near tourist place and the parking garage, so walking to it is not that far. The food taste good. I think they change their menu often. The price was a little to high for college students and the place can get really noisy when it's packed.
This place is awesome! Fantastic food and such a fun atmosphere. The history of the Lion House and the unique interior design and feel of the different rooms is a really fun experience!
The Lion House was the perfect place to host our immediate family wedding luncheon. We wanted something small but refined, and this place was just right. We had our luncheon in the Garden Room, which we highly recommend - the room was very beautiful. The food was phenomenal! Our guests still talk ab
Loved it! The rolls were super good. Very well kept up, super clean overall. Very recommended to eat here.
The private event catering is some of the best I’ve ever had. It was easy to see that it was indeed homemade and not just the same appetizers and snacks that are available at Costco or sams
Beautiful garden, though it is closed
Had lunch here. Once church president’s home converted to a restaurant. Very cozy and warm. Travel about 10 days, saw a bottle of soy sauce, almost made my Asian stomach cried for joy. Yes I poured some soy sauce on my mashed potatoes and salad. Asian stomach needed Asian sauces. Ha ha!
We had salad, chicken, and mashed potatoes with asparagus. The rolls are fresh-baked and come to the table warm. They are served with butter and honey-butter. All of the food was excellent but the rolls were the highlight. We had some kind of cake for dessert. I'm not sure what it was but it was tas
A real shame it was closed because of COVID. Such a rich history that I would have liked to witness.
We had my son's wedding luncheon here. I got the time messed up and we were 1/2 hour late. They didn't charge me extra for going a little over our time because of the late start. They accommodated us at every turn. Extremely helpful staff and very friendly. The food was so good! We had the Smith ch
There's nothing like a home-cooked meal, and half of that experience is being in someone's home. The Lion House has been preserved with that homey feeling which makes eating there so pleasant. The food is simple, the menu is modest but deliciously tasty! The staff are attentive, friendly and keep t
The food is average at best. It’s cafeteria style food that severely lacks on salt. I’m inclined to give it ONE star, but it earns the other FOUR stars on the merit of the Lion House Rolls alone! In fact, 32.8lbs of my current weight gain can we directly attributed to Lion House Rolls. Life changer.

This is a fine place to get a satisfying meal. It is cafeteria style, and the offerings change from day to day. The employees are friendly, and they do a good job of moving people through the line seating can be an issue during the busiest times. Parking is available in garages around downtown. Egre
