Review Jersey Lily's - Salem

Went for the first time. It was recommended to go by hotel I was staying. When I arrived I went to sit at the bar There were only maybe 5 people sitting up there. The other 8 or so seats all had dirty plates sitting at them. The bartender cleared one seat for me to sit down and left the rest of the dishes. I ordered a cup of soup and a salmon Cesar salad. Got my soup and it was totally separated from to much heat. Picture attached. I got my salad it was the size of a side salad with a piece of salmon. I did not eat the soup and server never even asked how anything was. Sorry to say very disappointed.

After seeing an advertisement for this restaurant every 25 seconds on WDBJ7, and chain restaurants surrounding having over an hour and a half wait for each restaurant, this place comes to mind well out of our traveling way, and to best put it, it was no mistake. A very short wait and friendly enough staffing found our way to a table. When I picked up a rib from the half rack I ordered, I knew at that point that this would no longer be a one-time only dining experience as the meat fell straight off the bone with me just holding it. Very good taste, very good texture, all around excellent feature by this establishment. My only word of advice would be to add quite a bit more sauce to the ribs themselves. Other than that, a FANTASTIC first experience. I will return.

Over all the prices and the baked potatoes were very good. However both my wife and I ordered steaks cooked medium both came well done. Our server was very nice but the host dressed in tee-shirt and jeans was quite sullen, most likely will not go there again.

Awesome atmosphere. I had the club, it was delicious. Also, nice bar in the back serving great price drinks.

The food was amazing! They know how to cook a steak! The service was lacking though, not sure if they were understaffed. The big onion was really good! Our dinner was brought out before our salad and the waitress kept blaming others for the service. We were going to order desert but it wasn't offered, instead we got our check. My husband was not impressed. At least the steak was good.

It is a great place. The service was attentive from the time we entered through the meal and in checkout. The menu has a number of good items. Our meals were well prepared with ample portions. The prices are moderate and reasonable. We would go again when near. YUM...YUM!

Disappointed in the meal of ribs. Ordered half a rack and received an order consisting of 4 ribs. When mentioned to server she did bring out more but they were burnt and dry. Waitress was very nice but sadly we won't be coming back for the ribs any time soon.they did however take off half the cost of the ribs. The server was very accommodating

Comfort food for sure! Went a few times while on business and all were great. Tender pot roast is a generous portion. The 6oz filet was tasty. My favorite was Judge Roy's Chicken! So happy to have this place right across from my hotel!

It's very rare I write a review but this one just has to be known. I went there yesterday for a birthday meal. First, our waitress lacked friendliness. Then we had to wait 15 minutes for our order to be taken. That's really no big deal in my book because I wasn't in a rush. However, the place was not busy so it made me wonder a bit. We ordered soup appetizers and our wait was approximately 30 minutes long. The waitress did not come over to check on us once during this time. Finally, my grandmother got her attention and the waitress made some excuses and our soups finally arrived. But it was another 30 minutes before our meal arrived. Again, the waitress had disappeared in that time. She came over once to refill our drinks after we received our food. I had grab her to get the bill because she swooped out into the dining room once in this time and that was my chance. I'm by no means a hard to please customer or picky. This was clearly some of the worst service I've had in years. The food was so-so, nothing I can say was great. I've been to the one on Orange Ave in the past and my experience was always good as was the food. The one is Salem was a complete disappointment and I'll never recommend it. One a final note, the ladies restrooms were disgusting!! I won't go into detail here but they were very unsanitary!

Party of 30 with reservations a month in advance- one waiter. As you can imagine it took at least 30-45 just to take orders- party started at 1. Food was brought out at 2:35 and at least 3 people didn’t even get food with us. Were told they had to wait even longer so they asked for their food in to go box. I had to wait another 15 minutes to pay so he could figure out which meals belong to who. That was a disaster and he was doomed to fail being given not only our party of 30 but more tables on top of that. Had 3 ladies walking around doing nothing so I asked them to let me pay so I could leave. They said our waiter has to do it. I was raged when I left- we never got refills a box for our food since we were rushed to eat it. I will never recommend this place to anyone

Awesome place to eat. The food was really good. We were there with a large party and I was really surprised at how fast the hot food got there. Gary M was an excellent waiter.

The food was mediocre at best buy what I can't believe it's the horrible waiting service. Just received a big F u from the manager after complaining on a waitress for slamming a drink in the table, rolling her eyes and saying f**** it. first time back after a horrible experience 8 yrs ago, won't be back and will only tell people how bad the staff is and how the manager supports his employees mistreating the customers. Tried to take my mom out for a nice late lunch and she ended up in tears. Way to go Jerseys..

I love this place the food is always so good and the service is amazing Judy was our server and she was great my uncle works there also and my grandparents eat there every Saturday

Went to dinner with an out of town friend. Good food excellent service and decent prices. Definatly got the money worth in food 👍

So the food was so-so to be honest but that is of course a subjective topic. The waitress was great, attentive and pleasant. My major gripe was the room we were in for the dinner. It was a Christmas dinner so we were in a private room, which at the onset was nice. It didn't take long to wonder what that smell was. Cigarette smoke coming in through the adjoining fireplace. Several people in our party were quite sensitive to the smell and became uncomfortable quickly. Wish they had a ceiling fan just to circulate the air. Suffice to say, if we return, we will be asking to be seated in a different location.

Great place...great food. Would recommend it highly.

The food was fine but our waitress was absent ... after waiting forever for drinks, I finally just made them myself. Definitely needs better service.

My steak was way over cooked. Wait staff very friendly with excellent service. Besides my steak being over cooked my French fries were cold and over cooked as well. Needless to say excellent service aside I will not be going back.

Wait staff was ok slow but ok the fish was so bad the cat wouldn't eat the left overs and the burger along with the bun was burn never again

Good food, service was good, over all good experience. They were busy, so our waitress was busy. She did a good job. Food was hot, and tasted great.

My Daughter and I ate a later lunch there yesterday. We both thought the food was Wonderful. So much food we had to ask for a box to bring the left overs home.. The food was hot and the service we received was excellent. Will be back again soon.

This place is fantastic! The employees were polite, professional, & quick. The food was wonderful...I'm anxious to go back!
