Since moving to Salem two years ago, Figaro's has been our go-to pizza delivery place. Today, after an exhausting 12 hour day of work, I decided to call in an order to pick up on my way home. I was sure to call in advance to allow plenty of time for them to prepare the order, and was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I also requested the pizza be well-done, as the last few times we ordered delivery, the pizza was not very crispy.
I made it to the store almost 30 minutes later, and there's just one guy working behind the counter. I noticed no pizzas in the oven, but one lonely raw pizza on a wall rack. I quickly realized that the raw pizza on the wall was my order and had not even started being baked. A few minutes later, a female employee comes in from outside, obviously coming back from a smoke break. She, at least, went in the back and washed her hands before casually returning to work. I was told it'd be a few minutes still...
15 minutes later, my pizza makes it through the oven (we're now at the 45 minute mark since I placed the order.) She hands me my order, and I ask for a couple of small containers of ranch. She agreed and then told me it would cost a few extra dollars. Keep in mind, when I initially paid, I threw my last few loose dollars into the tip jar.
Though irritated by the experience, I politely ask if she might be able to just throw them in as a one-time courtesy for the prolonged wait time. She just stood there glaring at me as if I'm the biggest piece of ungrateful garbage in the world. In reaction to her rudeness, I tell her that I'd just thrown a few dollars into the tip jar and that I'm happy to just take them back out to pay for the dinky little containers of ranch. She continued to stand there glaring at me and said, "well-done orders take longer, I don't know why you were told 15-20 minutes...", and then begrudgingly prints out a receipt and hands me the ranch. She then tells me to "have a good night" in the most rude tone possible.
I suppose letting my raw pizza sit out on a rack for 30 minutes is part of their "well-done" process, eh? You've gotta be kidding.
45 minutes after calling in my pick-up order, I was finally on my way home with dinner. I work with the general public myself, and I can totally sympathize with how difficult people can be, but this customer service was absolutely horrendous. She's clearly quite burnt out and could use a few tips on interacting with a less-than-thrilled customer. Apparently it was my fault for asking that my order be well-done. Absolutely zero empathy statements, absolutely zero f**k's given.
Will likely be taking our business elsewhere in the future after seeing in person how understaffed and miserable the employees are there.
I really hate leaving bad reviews, but this was remarkably terrible service from start to finish. I suppose I got the ranch, though...

Nice place, great prices, accepts ebt for non baked, only $1 to bake! Staff was friendly, store was very clean. They deliver, even uncooked!
**update**
Ordered twice for deliver so far, both times over 30 minutes late, they say their drivers are late coming in, I get room temp pizza and no compensation.. dropped a star
**UPDATE 10/17**
Came back a bunch more and love the staff always chipper and awesome. Quality on pizzas when picked up is great, loyalty program helps you ear free food too!

Been going for years, recently workers have been really rude. I ordered food online and had an expected pick up time for 20 minutes. When I arrived I was told it would be ready in 6 minutes and waited for 20. Luis, a worker grabbed his keys out of his pocket and handed them to another worker then continued to work on another persons pizza without washing hands or anything. They also messed around and played while I was there. I was glared and laughed at because they had a problem with my daughter like immature kids. I’ve never been treated like I did today for something that didn’t need to happen. I’ll never order from here again and I suggest you don’t either.

Been going to this location since the other one closed. They're always nice, and the pizza is pretty good. I usually get the gluten free crust, my tip is let them bake it, much better IMHO.

I think that getting rid of a whole demographic of customers (especially the ones who built you) is a terrible discrimination! SNAP was the only reason many bought your pizza, if we wanted to spend our cash we'd go somewhere better. Good luck

If you really want to know. We had a new employee, so they say. The order was wrong, half way cold, and not anything like a normal trip. Nobody could do anything till Monday when the boss comes in. Totally unhappy. Not even worth the effort of giving it the fraction of a star. So I can't even rate this without hitting at least one star. So be it, but it's not right. NOT WORTH EVEN ONE STAR THIS TRIP.

Called today to order a couple of pizzas. The phone connection was fine, me and the order person both spoke the same language. The problem was that person talking to others, not listening to what I was telling them. Had to repeat my phone number several times, had my name completely mangled. I was certain the order would be incorrect so I canceled.

I must admit, I dont order Figaros as often as I should. Because every time I do they are on point and I am left more than satisfied. Excellent service, excellent food. Hands down. I'm never disappointed.

Great place, had an issue with my order and it was addressed property and quickly, the Santa Fe is amazing btw!

Unprofessional and argumentative when calling or reporting a issue. Very bad taste to argue with a customer online for all to see.. Because of that I will never purchase from this establishment again. And will recommend my friends and family not to also..

Did you know that they will make a pizza 1/2 one type, and 1/4 each of 2 other types! That is great customer service.

The customer service here is seriously lacking. Not sure how “15 minutes” turns into 30. Wasn’t created when I arrived. And no name was asked for, so they had a hard time finding my order.

I enjoyed the ransom note on crickets door late one evening when I was having a bad day. Thanks for making me laugh! A staff with a sense of humor will serve you well. I will now frequent this place more! #welldone P.S. Thanks for moving within walking distance of my house also! #laughteristhebestmedicine
