Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Was surprised how the lobby was closed due to staff shortage. When trying to order via drive through, the staff seemed very rush and I did not feel like I can take my time reading the menu. The spicy chicken sandwich is the go to item we ordered every single time. We were disappointed that they no longer carry Cajun rice.

Chicken is moist, tasty and served hot. We got the chicken sandwich but ended eating the chicken mostly alone, bun is good and big. Also had the apple pie which was also served warm. Overall very tasty, a little more expensive than other drive thru's but worth it. Not really on that side of town much so this would be a treat when over there.

We went through the drive through and ordered the chicken sandwich combo (original and spicy) and both were perfect. The fries were crispy and seasoned just right. I asked for a packet of mayo and the woman at the window went through the trouble of getting a container and putting mayo in it for me (I guess they didn't have any packets?). The drinks weren't chocked full of ice... I hate when there is more ice than beverage. Overall, the meal, and the girl at the pickup window were great. The person taking the order, however, was not so friendly, so that's why the one star deduction. Definitely would eat here again, though. Quick, efficient, and delicious! Update: 7/11/22 Three stars They must have new employees. Not quick, not efficient, but still delicious!! Gave us honey packets and mustard dip when we ordered the chicken sandwiches with fries? I think ketchup would've been a better option. Also ordered half unsweetened/sweetened tea, but I think they forgot the unsweetened part. Not gonna let this experience stop me from visiting again. 👍

Tonight my husband went here and was asked to wait 10 min so they could make more chicken. That’s fine but after 20 min, they brought chicken out for the car who arrived AFTER him and was also asked to park, plus it was now twice as long as they said it would take. While waiting, a young Hispanic employee came out for his break and proceeded to tell whoever was on the phone how rude he was to a customer who was upset for having to wait so long. He said when the lady told him she was going to write a bad review for the terrible service she received, he told her to go ahead, he didn’t care, and he wasn’t going to make her any chicken. Unfreaking believable!! He should be fired for treating a customer like that, especially when it was their fault!! But he won’t be fired. This is now the level of service we get since everyone is short-staffed. We won’t be coming back. Btw…we got our food after 35 min!!! No apology!! No offer of a dessert or other compensation!! And once we got home, we realized our chicken wasn’t spicy like we ordered and 5 of our 10 piece chicken were legs!! These employees need retraining immediately. We love Popeye’s Chicken but this location has been having some serious problems lately from overcooked dry chicken, completely wrong orders, lack of expected condiments (like butter for biscuits), and now terrible service. To make this worse, we live in West Salem, so by the time we get home and notice, we don’t want to waste our time or money going all the way back to get the order corrected. Never again!!

Went to Popeyes on 2/13/2022 and ordered a couple of chicken combos, nuggets, and chicken sandwich. The nuggets and chicken sandwich were good but the chicken tenders combo was pretty nasty. Tasted like the chicken had been sitting out and tasted stale. Will hold off on going to Popeyes for awhile, until I see a review that will change my mind.
